I've been thinking a lot about motivation, lately. Perhaps it is because I am one paper away from a Master's degree and I would do ANYTHING to finish my degree! Well...except write that paper, eeeesh.
The diet industry has cashed in on this universal, character flaw - they know people will try any program, pill, or frozen food plan to lose weight.......even the most desperate soul would do ANYTHING to lose weight....well....anything, but regular exercise and adopting a reasonable diet.
We approach our Christianity in the same manner......we go to elaborate lengths to 'do' Christianity, when all Christ wants is love of God and neighbor. The fact is, Jesus had to go to the furthest lengths (His own death, which is the key to our justification) just to get us to recognize that love is the key to our sanctification and the sanctification of our neighbors.......
Humans are funny creatures.....good thing we have such a merciful God.
