Identity theft is one of fastest growing crimes as we know.
The Federal Trade Commission estimates that as many as nine million have their identities stolen each year!
It occurs when an impostor obtains key pieces of personal identifying information and uses it for personal gain.
A victim of identity theft can spend years trying to restore what has been taken, including not only their credit, but also the dignity and personal integrity that was lost.
It can be costly both financially and emotionally.
*Even more damaging is having our Spiritual identity compromised.
Our Heavenly Father refers to us as His children, “And if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ…” Romans 8:17.
This means that we inherit not only all that God has, but all that He is.
Satan’s mission is to steal, kill, and destroy, thus robbing us of that inheritance. His mission is to divert our attention from what God has promised.
Our heart says, “Amen” to those promises, but when our faith is tested we begin to doubt the Word, or to discredit it and, and if our faith is not strong, to ultimately disregard it.
God promises healing and Satan causes us to focus on pain.
God promises freedom but many continue to drag their chains.
God promises to never leave us or forsake us, but in difficult circumstances we may feel very alone and question God’s keeping power.
The question is: Whom do we trust and obey? “To whomsoever you yield yourselves as servants to obey, his servant you are whether to sin unto death or to God unto righteousness” Romans 6: 16.
Let's heed James:- “Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil and he will
flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” James 4: 7, 8.
The "Identity Robber" is always around...he was there is the wilderness tempting Jesus to doubt His identity " If the be the son of God then..."
And he is still around today...but if we are 'believing believers' then we are rooted and grounded "In Christ" and in who we are in Him, and who He is within us.
'Living there' is the place of victory.
" Abide in Me"
" Hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown."
