If you were a leader in the church tasked with restructuring and improving its architecture and format.

WWYD?

Are there significant improvements churches can make in the modern era with the advent of the internet, smart phones and social media?

First of all, I wouldn't try to do it by myself. Ideally, a congregation would have a plurality of overseers for such an undertaking. As with any project, there should be prayer and asking the Holy Spirit's guidance.

Personally, I think Christianity has become too reliant on the internet and social media. Start locally. When I was younger, we had something called "calling" where a couple of people would just go out and "call" on people. Knock on doors and introduce yourself and invite them to join you next Sunday, or whenever you meet. I think people would be surprised how many people would love to get such a visit.

If churches are failing, it’s not because the internet is too strong—it’s because the gospel being preached is too weak.

We don’t need a new format. We need a fear of God again.

The early church turned the world upside down with no tech, no stage lights, no livestreams—just fire, holiness, and the blood of the Lamb. Today we’ve got apps and sound systems but no backbone. We’ve traded truth for trends, repentance for relevance, and discipleship for content.

If I were leading a church, here's what I’d do:

Strip it down to Scripture. No more therapy sermons. No more motivational fluff. Preach Christ crucified. Preach sin, wrath, repentance, and resurrection.

Restore biblical church discipline. Judgment starts in the house of God (1 Peter 4:17), but most churches don’t want to offend anyone—even if it means tolerating open rebellion.

Make prayer the engine. Not a side dish. A church without corporate prayer is not a church—it’s an event.

Train people for spiritual war, not comfort. We’re not called to survive culture—we’re called to confront it.

Use technology, but never let it replace presence. Fellowship isn’t a comment section. Church is a body, not a broadcast.

Confront sin head-on—especially the secret ones: porn, greed, bitterness, pride. No revival will come while altars are full of hidden idols.

This generation doesn’t need better architecture. It needs spiritual excavation—tearing down what’s fake so what’s holy can rise.

Jesus didn’t die to build brands. He died to build a bride without spot or wrinkle.

"Restore biblical church discipline."

I saw many folks complaining about that on reddit.
Absolutely. The lack of biblical church discipline is the root of so many problems we see today. People want grace—but grace without repentance is license to sin.

Discipline isn’t popular, but it’s necessary. Without it, the Church becomes a playground for deception and pride instead of a refuge for sinners desperate for holiness.

Revival always follows righteous correction. We must restore discipline or continue to watch the Church crumble.

No compromise. No excuses.

All these do not make for a good church,

prayer, fellowship and the Word of God preached boldly and truthfully are what makes a good church. all the rest are but tools to help in these endeavors.

God has provided....

ROBERT B. THIEME, JR. (1918–2009) remains a significant voice of Christianity throughout the world. His diligent, expository teaching is based on the original languages of Scripture in light of the historical context in which the Bible was written. His innovative systems of vocabulary, illustrations, and biblical categories clearly communicate the infallible truths of God’s Word. Thieme recorded more than eleven thousand hours of sermons and published more than one hundred books covering much of the Bible.

Thieme graduated from the University of Arizona (Phi Beta Kappa) and Dallas Theological Seminary (summa cum laude). His seminary studies were interrupted by World War II military service during which he rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel in the United States Army Air Corps. After completion of his graduate work in 1950, he became pastor of Berachah Church in Houston, Texas. His extensive training in Greek, Hebrew, theology, history, and textual criticism provided the foundation for his demanding professional life of studying and teaching the Word of God. Thieme retired as pastor of Berachah Church after fifty-three years of faithful service.

Free audio lessons available for anyone who requests!

Here are over 11,000 hours of teaching.

The problem with the modern church.

  1. They worship 8th-century Khazar converts as “God’s chosen.”
  2. They ignore the fulfillment of the Gospel in Christ.
  3. They say the Church and the Body of Christ is not Israel.
  4. They teach a pre-trib rapture.
  5. They fund endless wars in the name of prophecy.
  6. They preach fear of cursing “Israel” over fear of disobeying Christ. (And they don't know who or what Israel even is)
  7. They glorify a modern secular state that rejects Jesus.
  8. They twist Genesis into a 6,000-year timeline.
  9. They scare off scientifically literate people from the Gospel.
  10. They elevate race and genealogy over faith.
  11. They use Zionism to manipulate American politics.
  12. They teach dispensational charts instead of the New Testament.
  13. They silence the Old Testament prophets unless they point to Zionism.
  14. They quote Scofield more than Jesus.
  15. They treat the modern state of Israel as a prerequisite for Christ’s return.
  16. They ignore early Church Fathers entirely.
  17. They rewrite Revelation to serve modern politics.
  18. They call peaceful Christians “anti-Semitic” for quoting the Gospel.
  19. They support genocide while preaching “blessing Israel.”
  20. They split Christ from His own Gospel.
  21. They treat Jews as saved without Christ.
  22. They mock replacement theology while denying fulfillment theology.
  23. They conflate Abrahamic promise with military alliance.
  24. They preach American exceptionalism instead of Kingdom come.

So this is what's happening.. The Scripture curious atheists are reading the Bible a few times all the way through and then reading the early Church Fathers and coming to the obvious conclusion that 80%+ of the Christian Church is totally brainwashed, not following the Gospel AT ALL, and are completely under the power & deception of the Dragon. And they’re realizing the horrifying truth: It’s now a Zionist cargo cult wearing a cross. They want to believe the Word, but what they find looks like a Twilight Zone rerun — or a sci-fi horror film directed by the Dragon himself. So they get scared and move away from it.

They run.

Not from Christ.

But from the misled, brainwashed abomination —
deep under the veil
pretending to represent Him.

I am so glad to see you're not any part of the problem.
And, that you are not looking for arguments that you have your rehearsed answers for.

hmmx1:

That’s what people say when they can’t answer the actual points.

You didn’t refute a single line, not one point, not one claim.
Instead of addressing the apostasy in the modern Church — the Scofield worship, the dual-covenant heresy, the genocide endorsement, the Zionist idolatry — you offered sarcasm and evasion.

That’s not discernment.
That’s cowardice.

If your gospel had roots in Scripture, you’d quote Christ.
But you don’t — because your theology came from Scofield’s footnotes, not the Word of God.

I don't want an argument. I want the truth.

And the truth is:
The Church is Israel.
Christ is the covenant.
And any gospel that says otherwise is from the Dragon.

To the lurkers: Heed this warning.

If you ever see the words “Dallas Theological Seminary”
Run like Hell.

Because that's exactly where their theology came from.

That’s the factory floor of the Scofield heresy.
That’s where they carved up the Gospel into dispensations,
replaced Christ with charts,
and sold out the Church to Zionism.

You want to know why the modern Church is unrecognizable?
Why it worships a secular state, preaches two covenants, and funds wars in the name of prophecy?

Look no further.
Dallas is the dragon’s seminary.

I am a Jew who found Christ.
And, your way of thinking is why it took me longer to come around.

Jesus has already told His church what to do..

“15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18

“I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. ”

This is literally and exactly what happens.

The raw, curious seeker — not yet “Christian” — decides to look for truth.

They want to find Christ, so they buy the Bible and a few early works of the Church Fathers,
the literal architects of Christianity. Then they begin reading it all..

Romans 2:28–29
“For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly… but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit…”

Galatians 3:29
“If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Romans 9:6–8
“For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel… it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise.”

Titus 3:9 “But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.” (The Spirit knew there would come a time when men would try to hijack the Gospel with racial superiority, ethnic lineage, and tribal bloodline idolatry. This verse was His safety valve to try to keep that from ever happening but Scofield, the Rockefeller's, and the Rothschilds saw to it that you forgot it from 1909 onward.)

Ephesians 2:14–16
“For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier… by setting aside in His flesh the law with its commands and regulations.”

Justin Martyr (100–165 AD)
“The true spiritual Israel is not the race who descended from Jacob, but those who believe in Christ.”
Dialogue with Trypho the Jew

Cyprian of Carthage (250 AD):
“We Christians are the true people of God, though the Jews once were... the Jews, according to the flesh, were cast off.” — Treatises of Cyprian, Treatise 12, Book 1

Irenaeus of Lyons (130–202 AD)
“They [the jews] are disinherited from the grace of God.”
Against Heresies, Book IV

John Chrysostom (349–407 AD)
“The synagogue is not only a brothel and a theater; it is also a den of robbers and a lodging for wild beasts.”
Homilies Against the Jews

Eusebius of Caesarea (325 AD):
“The promises of the covenants made to Israel are now fulfilled in us [the Church]... The Hebrews have fallen from the grace of God.” — Proof of the Gospel, Book 1, Ch. 4

And on and on and on and on..
So by the time they get all the way down to Hebrews: It's over...

“By calling this covenant ‘new,’ He has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.”
— Hebrews 8:13

^ That's literally GOD saying that the old covenant is over, obsolete and will soon disappear into extinction.

And that was 2,100 years ago.. And it did..

So after reading the Word, these brand-new Gospel seekers look around —
and what do they see?

They see Evangelicals foaming at the mouth under the spell of the Dragon, screaming:

“Forget God! Forget what He and the Apostles & Church Fathers said!”
“Let’s rebuild the Old Covenant! Protect it! Die for it and send our Christian kids to die for it!!!”
“Give it nukes, feed it billions, and be sure to give it tanks and helicopters!”
“God said it would disappear? That’s blasphemy! We’re bringing it BACK, baby! Screw what God said!”

And when these new, unbrainwashed followers of Christ see all this — then flip on Fox News, the televangelist circus, and every Zionist-controlled propaganda outlet — they’re stunned, horrified and terrified.

Because it reveals three things:

#1. Most of the US Christian Church and the entire Western government is directly under a spell from the Dragon himself. They are completely under the veil.

#2. These people aren't Christians at all. They're a brainwashed, Jim Jones-like cult of Zionists who pretend to follow Christ while completely ignoring the word of God, the Apostles and every titan and architect of the Church itself for 2000 years.

#3. Not God, not the Apostles and not a single early Church Father taught what this Zionist cult believes in and to make matters worse,
they're not only under a spell from the Dragon, but in charge of our entire military apparatus and nuclear weapons.

This is what the new believers see.
This is why they walk away — not from Christ,
but from the impostor in His robe.

From the Dragon’s clergy.
From the Zionist altar.
From the pulpit that worships a flag instead of the cross.

This is who’s running your "church."
And their theology is from Hell.
Because that’s where it was born.

ChatGPT Image May 12, 2025 at 11_49_15 PM.png

And they’re so bewitched,
so deep under the Dragon’s spell
,
that not one of them even stops to ask:

“Why isn’t there a Star of David in the Bible?”

Because there isn’t.
Not once. Not ever.

The only “star” mentioned in scripture?

“You have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch
and Chiun your images,
the star of your god,
which you made to yourselves.”
— Amos 5:26 (also Acts 7:43)

That’s not the Star of David.
That’s the Star of Rephan
a Babylonian sigil of damnation.
An idol dragged from the pit…

They sacrificed children beneath this star.
Their priests drank blood beneath this star.

They danced, covered in the blood of those children,
during ritual orgies beneath this star.

It is explicitly, cursed by God,

And yet…

It’s the banner waving over your sanctuary.
The sigil painted on your pulpits.
The flag your pastors defend with blood and steel.
And unbelievably, even printed on your money to let you know who owns you.

And these Christians are so far gone,
so hypnotized by Scofield sorcery and Rothschild theology,
that they bow before a star God damned
and call it "holy".

That’s how deep the deception runs.

1b54b3d6-307d-4eb7-a603-bf17da2172d7.png

That’s right.
We’re all living in a real-life, science fiction nightmare
and the Dragon is gripping the controls,
piloting this flaming, screeching train-wreck straight into the Lake of Fire.

“Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees.” — Matthew 3:10

Jesus warned plainly:

“You will be hated by all for My name’s sake.” — Matthew 10:22
“If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you.” — John 15:20

And today, that persecution doesn’t just come from the world —
It comes from the Zionist pulpits.
From flag-waving churches under the Dragon's spell,
and from so-called Christians who scream “Christ!” while rejecting everything He said.

They have become the very Pharisees they claim to hate —
Casting out the Body of Christ, stone by stone,
To build an altar to a bloodline Jesus never sanctified:

The Synagogue of Satan.

And they helped lay every brick.
And they don’t even know it —
For the veil is thick, and the Dragon’s spell is enchanting.

Are there significant improvements churches can make in the modern era with the advent of the internet, smart phones and social media?
The answer is not in any of those things.

As much as we all love the apostles and would like to think the early church was all good, it wasn't. Fact is, of the 7 churches Jesus mentioned in Revelation, He had something against 5 of them; "the spirit of anti-Christ was already at work"; and Peter is recorded as saying "But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them...", and Paul foretold of great apostacy and the believing of a "lie" that would cause "strong delusion."

That "lie" was denying the Jesus would come "soon" and all that He described "must shortly take place" (just as He said).

So, yes, the modern church, in spite of many believers and all the good intentions--is quite a mess.

The answer then, is to go back to those statements and promises of Christ, and instead of assuming the church leaders were correct--assume they were wrong and Jesus was correct. And if you need help with that--don't turn to the smartest guy in the room--he was wrong...and has been now for 2,000 years. Better that we should "be silent in church" and pray.

The good news is, the time of destructive doctrines and lies was only to be for a time, as we were also promised that we would be "led unto all truth", and "the mystery of God would be finished as He declared to His servants the prophets."

And here’s the irony.

The atheist, the agnostic, the raw and unchurched seeker —
They already know something is wrong.
They feel it deep in their bones when they look at the modern church.
They just don’t yet have the words to explain it.
Certainly not to explain it like a scholar.

But I can.

Because I’ve seen it.
I’ve lived it.
I’ve studied it.
And now, I’m speaking it. Plainly, biblically, and without apology.

So don’t let them tell you you’re crazy.
Don’t let them gaslight you into silence.
You’re not the problem.
They are.

And the veil is breaking.
