Also, you have to find out the doctrine of the Catholic Church and make sure you could live with it because you'll be told that you have to accept their doctrine.
I do believe that you should belong to a church; especially at your age. It's good to be with other Christians and not to be alone. A coal set far away from the fire turns cold. It's nice to be in a group of like-minded persons and fellowship with them.

i have a County College it's in Madison Florida i ThinkIs there a college in your city? If so, you might want to check out a Newman Center - it is a Catholic Church that ministers to kids your age. I became Catholic after connecting with a Newman Canter - they are friendly and good at answering questions
