Only God can provide you with Righteousness, as Righteousness only comes from God Himself.

Adam had it, and lost it.
We start without it and God gives it to us when we Take His SON as our FAITH.

See that?

WELCOME TO SALVATION.

This Righteousness that is imputed to us, that we BECOME..... was created as a Gift = by The Cross of Christ.
Jesus... who was born under the law, of a Virgin, and lived and died as a human, provided HIS OWN sinless perfect life that met all God's requirements for RIGHTEOUSNESS.

This is "the GIFT of Salvation"... and "The Gift of Righteousness".

And.....This that Jesus gained by His life, shed blood, and death, is "the Gift of Righteousness" that God gives to everyone (imputed righteousness).... who comes to the Cross of Christ and BELIEVES,.... as your "faith is counted by GOD as Righteousness".

This means simply, that when you give God your faith in Christ......God gives to you, as an eternal Gift, everything that Jesus provided for you, as/by His Life and His Sacrifice on the Cross.

When God gives you this,... based on having received your FAITH in Christ, then you have been given "the Gift of Salvation", and "the Gift of Righteousness".
To have these is to become a Son/Daughter of God. and being BORN AGAIN is the literal proof you have them.

How to understand this....?

When you give God your faith in Christ : ONE TIME.... God receives it for all eternity.... and then HE takes the blood and death of Christ on the Cross, and pays for all your sin and you become as if you've never sinned.
THEN..
God imputes righteousness to you, which is to give to you His own Righteousness.
You not only receive it, you BECOME IT, as "the righteousness of God, in Christ"... "made Righteous".
This is why the NT teaches you that ... "As Jesus is, so are the BORN AGAIN.... in this World".

And why did God do this for you?
Its because unless your Righteousness is EQUAL To His own, He cannot have you as His own, in Eternity.
The water baptized never born again people who died today and went to HELL, found this out, the hard way, today, and yesterday, and tomorrow.

Listen..,
ONLY through Christ's Cross, God provides to you HIS VERY RIGHTEOUSNESS< as "the Gift of Salvation, and "the Gift of Righteousness".

This is what it means to become a BORN AGAIN Child of GOD. """" Heir of God. Joint Heir with Jesus.... Child of the LIGHT.... Brethren.....Saint......Temple of the Holy Spirit..... One with God...... In Christ."""

See all those?
Those are who you have BECOME< the instant that you give God your faith in Christ, and God takes it and then gives to you ALL OF THOSE, and more..

You now Have, Christ's eternal life as your own.
You now Have... God's Holy Spirit joined to yours, as "Christ in you, the Hope of Glory".... and "Glory" is Heaven.

Welcome to Salvation.

ITS A GIFT from God, and JESUS is the Gift.

So, why does God give you His very own Righteousness?

= "imputed Righteousness".....
Its because you dont have any righteousness of your own...., and if you don't have His, He can't have you in His Family, as everyone that is in the Family of God, has God's Righteousness.

Jesus came here to die and Give you "the Righteousness of God, in Christ".

"you MUST be born again"....Jesus told us.....as if we are not, we don't have God's Righteousness given to us, as "the Gift of Righteousness".

Being BORN AGAIN, proves we have "The righteousness of God, in Christ".

Its a GIFT.

"the GIFT of Salvation"... and "the GIFT of Righteousness"..

Reader..
Come to the Cross of Christ and Receive HIM into your heart by faith today if you have not done this, as you can't become a Child of God without it.

What is your definition of "righteousness, or even righteous?

The Definition of Righteousness = Jesus

Its HIM.

So, being a CHRISTian, is about having HIM in you, or not.

"but what if im water baptized".

DO YOU HAVE JESUS IN YOU ?

"but ive taken Communion 3456 times""""

DO YOU HAVE JESUS IN YOU right now?

"but what if i confessed all my sin, again and again and again, ..... and was sprinkled and confirmed when i was 4 yrs old".

DO YOU HAVE JESUS IN YOU?

"but i joined the one true church"..

DO YOU HAVE JESUS THE LORD THE CHRIST LIVING INSIDE YOU?

"but what it"..."but what it"... "but what IF".' ??????????????

So, when we have JESUS< in us.....IN US...... who is our Righteousness, who is in us......(born again), we have God's Righteousness.
There is no other.

Having CHRIST IN YOU, is to have GOD as your Father.
Its the PROOF.

Having Christ in you, is the ONLY PROOF you are born again, and Jesus told us....."You must be born again".

And WATER can't do that for you.
And trying to keep commandments can't do that for you.
And joining a Local Church, or the Mormon Church, or the Catholic Church, etc, ect, ect, can't save you.

You must be born again., as to be born again is to have received CHRIST inside you, who is our Righteousness.
So, when we have Him in us, we have God's Righteousness for eternity.
There is no other.

Jesus OFFERED HIMSELF to GOD, on THE CROSS.......and God received this SACRIFICE of Jesus on The CROSS, = and by this Sacrifice GOD eternally forgives YOU and accepts YOU as HIS OWN.

See that?

So Put all your FAITH THERE........and Welcome to your SALVATION... who is JESUS on the Cross.

Accept no substitute as there is only ONE WAY. John 14:6

So, you expound on your theory but you cannot even give a definition of righteousness, or righteous. Simply amazing, actually quite stunning.
How about engaging instead of your theorizing.

Jesus is the Righteousness of God, offered as : John 3:16.

Jesus is the Righteousness of God, offered as : 2 Corinthians 5:19

The Holy Blood and Sacrificial DEATH of Jesus on the Cross, = is the Righteousness of God offered as : "the Gift of Righteousness" and "the Gift of Salvation".

If you die without it, you'll go to Hell like a bullet when you die.
Really.

The Cross of Christ, is not a "theory",..it ALONE is the Righteousness of God extended to YOU, as God's "Gift of Righteousness".... and you'd do well to figure this out while you are still breathing, Rightglory, and share it with your loved one's.

Believe it, as Jesus died to prove it's true, and He walked out of the Grave, proving that its true.

For Jesus's sake, God has forgiven you.
Only if one confesses ones sins and repents. No other way. God does not arbitrarily forgive anyone's sins.
And what did Jesus do, so that God would accept it and forgive YOU and accept you now and forever?
The claim you making does not exist in scripture. What Christ did by His assuming our human nature and dying and rising from the dead was to reconcile the world to God. Col 1:20, Rom 5:8, Rom 5:18-19, II Cor 5:18-19, I Cor 15:20-22, II Tim 1:10, Heb 2:14-15, Heb 2:9, I John 2:2.
God does not accept your one, first confession as a finite, absolute, ONLY one confession as accepting a believer forever. We all sin and we all need to confess our sins every day.
This confessing is one way to maintain our faith, to show that we are truly committed to Him and desire to remain in Him. Many men have lost their faith in Christ. NO ONE will be saved without having faith. Very simple and straight forward as explained explicitedly in scripture. Which leads me to think you have not actually read scripture, as most of what you say cannot be found in scripture.
Jesus OFFERED HIMSELF to GOD, on THE CROSS.......and God received this SACRIFICE of Jesus on The CROSS, = and by this Sacrifice GOD eternally forgives YOU and accepts YOU as HIS OWN.

You are correct in that there is ONLY one way, the way of Christ, but that way has nothing to do with your theory.

Jesus is the Righteousness of God, offered as : John 3:16.

Jesus is the Righteousness of God, offered as : 2 Corinthians 5:19
In both instances FOR THE WORLD. Specific believers are not referenced except in the context of believing. Christ reconciled the world to Himself, so that He could call all men to repentance.
The Holy Blood and Sacrificial DEATH of Jesus on the Cross, = is the Righteousness of God offered as : "the Gift of Righteousness" and "the Gift of Salvation".
Yes, it was a gift to mankind. It was also "salvation" but not individual spiritual salvation as you are using the word. It is why it is past tense, because Christ's work on the Cross is complete. He stated so on the Cross, Himself. But that did not make a single believer. It made it possible for Christ to call all men to repentance and believing is solely an act of man. Man hears His word, and all men will Hear His Word, which is why all men will be held accountable for their decision on that call. There is nothing in scripture that departs or explains it any other way. No believer is finitely saved in one's lifetime relative to our relationship to God. The converse is also true, no person is judged in this world, if they do not believe. That judgement occurs after one's departure from this world in the Judgement in the last day.
If you die without it, you'll go to Hell like a bullet when you die.
Really.

You really have no true biblical understanding of what Christ actually accomplished and why. It is probably why you cannot find any texts that address your theory. The two you have used have never meant as you would like them to mean so they fit your theory.
Respond to the text I cited which clearly dismisses your theory.

I'll give you another chance to define "righteousness" or righteous". It does NOT mean Jesus.

At the risk of sounding repetitive.....At times it really * IS* just like, “ shooting fish in a barrel” ......I’m sure that some of you guys don’t really “ desire” to make things so easy, but you do.....

“ Some Of the people brought to Jesus a man on a mat who was paralyzed......When Jesus saw their FAITH he said to the paralyze man, “ Cheer up, my friend! Your sins are forgiven!” ( Do you see anything in there about Jesus making this unfortunate man “ Confess “ and “ Repent” Before he Forgives Him Of His Sins and then blesses him with a Miracle? Yeah, I though not....)

It was all Faith. Faith Plus NOTHING.This wonderful story makes my heart leap for joy....if it does not bring encouragement and joy to “ your” heart, you really have a problem....( Matt.9:1-8)

So you agree with Behold, but fail to answer the issue. The parable does not even address what I was discussing with Behold. It seems apparent that you don't understand ones relationship with God, as well as just what faith entails. Belief ALONE is worthless. James 2:19-26.
If you claim faith and do not follow up with the conditions of that faith, it means nothing. Faith alone does not save.
I believe Luther came up with the mantra of "faith alone" but scripture says it is worthless.

What is your definition of "righteousness, or even righteous?
Why don't you look it up for yourself? It is the Bible which defines and describes righteousness. "integrity, virtue, purity of life, uprightness, correctness in thinking, feeling, and acting". See below.

Thayer's Greek Lexicon

STRONGS NT 1343: δικαιοσύνη (dikaiosune)

δικαιοσύνη, δικαιοσύνης, ἡ (δίκαιος); most frequently in the Sept. for צֶדֶק and צְדָקָה, rarely for חֶסֶד; "the virtue or quality or state of one who is δίκαιος;"

1. in the broad sense, the state of him who is such as he ought to be, righteousness (German Rechtbeschaffenheit);
the condition acceptable to God (German Gottwohlgefalligkeit);

a. universally: λόγος τῆς δικαιοσύνης (like λόγος τῆς καταλλαγῆς, λόγος τοῦ σταυροῦ),
the doctrine concerning the way in which man may attain to a state approved of God, Hebrews 5:13; βασιλεύς δικαιοσύνης, the king who himself has the approbation of God, and who renders his subjects acceptable to God, Hebrews 7:2; cf. Bleek at the passage

b. "integrity, virtue, purity of life, uprightness, correctness in thinking, feeling, and acting: Matthew 3:15; Matthew 5:6, 10, 20; Matthew 6:1 G L T Tr, WH; Acts 13:10; Acts 24:25; Romans 6:13, 16, 18-20 (opposed to ἁμαρτία, ἀνομία, and ἀκαθαρσία); Romans 8:10 (opposed to ἁμαρτία); Romans 14:17 (? (see c.)); 2 Corinthians 6:7, 14 (opposed to ἀνομία, as in Xenophon, mem. 1, 2, 24); 2 Corinthians 11:15; Ephesians 5:9; Ephesians 6:14; Philippians 1:11; 1 Timothy 6:11; 2 Timothy 2:22; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Timothy 4:8; Titus 3:5; Hebrews 1:9; Hebrews 12:11; James 3:18; 1 Peter 3:14; 2 Peter 2:5, 21; 2 Peter 3:13, and very often in the O. T.; ἐν ὁδῷ δικαιοσύνης, walking in the way of righteousness equivalent to an upright, righteous, man, Matthew 21:32; τοῦ Θεοῦ, the righteousness which God demands, Matthew 6:33; James 1:20; of righteousness which manifests itself in "beneficence: 2 Corinthians 9:9f (cf. Tobit 14:11; Gesenius, Thesaurus iii., p. 1151; so Chaldean צִדְקָה, Daniel 4:24, and in the Talmud and rabbinical writings (Buxtorf. col. 1891 (p. 941, Fischer edition); cf. Winer's Grammar, 32)); where δίκαιος καί ὁσιότης are connected — Luke 1:75; Ephesians 4:24, (Wis. 9:3; Clement of Rome, 1 Cor. 48, 4 [ET] and occasionally in secular writings) — the former denotes right conduct toward men, the latter piety toward God (cf. Plato, Gorgias, p. 507 b.; Grimm on Sap., p. 181f; (cf. Trench, § 88, p. 328f; for additional examples see Wetstein (1752) on Ephesians, the passage cited; cf. ὅσιος); εὐσέβεια καί δικαιοσύνη, Diodorus 1, 2); ποιεῖν τήν δικαιοσύνην, to do righteousness, to live uprightly: 1 John 2:29; 1 John 3:7; 1 John 3:10 (not Lachmann); and in Revelation 22:11 according to the text now accepted; in like manner ἐργάζεσθαι δικαιοσύνην, Acts 10:35; Hebrews 11:33; ζῆν τῇ δικαιοσύνη, to live, devote the life, to righteousness, 1 Peter 2:24; πληροῦν πᾶσαν δικαιοσύνην, to perform completely whatever is right, Matthew 3:15. When affirmed of Christ, δικαιοσύνη denotes his perfect moral purity, integrity, sinlessness: John 16:8, 10; when used of God, his holiness: Romans 3:5, 25f.

c. in the writings of Paul ἡ δικαιοσύνη has a peculiar meaning, opposed to the views of the Jews and Judaizing Christians... But the way to obtain this hope, he teaches, is only through faith (see πίστις (especially 1 b. and d.)), by which a man appropriates that grace of God revealed and pledged in Christ; and this faith is reckoned by God to the man as δικαιοσύνη; that is to say, δικαιοσύνη denotes "the state acceptable to God which becomes a sinner's possession through that faith by which he embraces the grace of God offered him in the expiatory death of Jesus Christ...

Christ is called δικαιοσύνη, as being the one without whom there is no righteousness, as the author of righteousness,
1 Corinthians 1:30; εἰς δικαιοσύνην, unto righteousness as the result, to obtain righteousness, Romans 10:4, 10; ἡ πίστις λογίζεται τίνι εἰς δικαιοσύνην, faith is reckoned to one for righteousness, i. e. is so taken into account, that righteousness is ascribed to it or recognized in it: Romans 4:3, 6, 9, 22; Galatians 3:6; James 2:23; ἡ διακονία τῆς δικαιοσύνης (see διακονία, 2 b.), 2 Corinthians 3:9. Opposed to this δικαιοσύνη, arising from faith, is ἡ ἐκ νόμου δικαιοσύνη, a state acceptable to God which is supposed to result from obedience to the law, Romans 10:5f; ἡ δικαιοσύνη ἐν νόμῳ relying on the law, i. e. on imaginary obedience to it, Philippians 3:6; ἡ ἰδίᾳ δικαιοσύνη and ἡ ἐμή ἐδικαιοσυνη, such as one supposes that he has acquired for himself by his own works, Romans 10:3 Philippians 3:9, cf. Galatians 2:21; Galatians 3:21.

At the same time, as already pointed out above, God IMPUTES righteousness to the one who repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ. So the righteousness of Christ is placed upon the sinner who believes, and he or she is deemed to be as righteous as Christ. This concept is not easily understood, but accepted by faith. And without this imputed righteousness, no one may enter Heaven. It is called "the robe of righteousness" in the Bible, or "the garment of salvation". And those to whom righteousness is imputed must be righteous in thought, word, and deed.

Romans 4:5 - But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:

Romans 4:11 - And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while still uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them also.

Romans 4:23 - Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead.

Philippians 3:9 - and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.

Now, I'll post this verse again for you below, and you see if you can connect the CROSS, and the Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross, with this verse.

Look at this verse, closely, Rightglory

2 Corinthians 5:19

Why don't you look it up for yourself? It is the Bible which defines and describes righteousness. "integrity, virtue, purity of life, uprightness, correctness in thinking, feeling, and acting". See below.
You have the definitions correct, but your application of them is incorrect. You seem to dwell on this word "IMPUTE" Christ does impute His Righteousness to mankind. To make it simple for many who might not follow your definitions. Righteous, reconcile, justify, redeem all have the same meaning, that is, to make correct or to make right.
Christ redeemed this world and presented that RIGHTNESS to God. He made the world correct, reconciled it, thus the imputation. It is an external act.
Christ's work enables God to again have union with man in this life and for an eternity. That UNION was destroyed by Adam, so it took Christ to correct it. Man could not correct what Adam did to the human race. That is also why Christ became man, assumed our human nature. Here are some of the text that state this very clearly.- Col 1:20, Rom 5:8, Rom 5:18-19, II Cor 5:18-19, I Cor 15:20-22, II Tim 1:10, Heb 2:14-15, Heb 2:9, I John 2:2.

Christ is called δικαιοσύνη, as being the one without whom there is no righteousness, as the author of righteousness, 1 Corinthians 1:30; εἰς δικαιοσύνην, unto righteousness as the result, to obtain righteousness, Romans 10:4, 10; ἡ πίστις λογίζεται τίνι εἰς δικαιοσύνην, faith is reckoned to one for righteousness, i. e. is so taken into account, that righteousness is ascribed to it or recognized in it: Romans 4:3, 6, 9, 22; Galatians 3:6; James 2:23; ἡ διακονία τῆς δικαιοσύνης (see διακονία, 2 b.), 2 Corinthians 3:9.
Here lies the difference between what Christ accomplished and what man must do. In your paragraph above in red, underlined you use the phrase faith is reckoned to us for righteousness. Why? Because we cannot do what Christ did. So Christ accepts OUR righteousness of faith to believe what Christ accomplished for us. Man is never imputed Christ's righteousness as a believer.
Then you don't understand the phrase "reckoned" as you so well explained in your definitions. In believing and then in obedience to repentance we strive to become righteous. That is, keep ourselves right with God. I John 3:7, I John 1:6-10, Rom 3: 23-28, explains how this works.
This is why the phrases, we (as believers) are reconciled to God through faith; we are justified by faith to God. Never does it say God imputes either our faith or the righteousness of that faith. We are going to be judged on our faith, (righteousness), not Christ's righteousness.

Christ is forgiving the world their sin, on the Cross.
He makes it possible for man to seek forgiveness. He made the sacrifice for sin for the world. So that all men could seek Him, find Him and believe, repent, and have their sins forgiveen.
To receive this forgiveness, you must hear the gospel and believe it.
Correct. To maintain your faith you must continually seek forgiveness of sin. I'm assuming you believe you sin. Belief is not finite in this world. It is something we use to continue our journey IN CHRIST. If one loses faith, one loses the relationship since the relationship is based on faith.
I just gave it to you, again.

Now, I'll post this verse again for you below, and you see if you can connect the CROSS, and the Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross, with this verse.

Look at this verse, closely, Rightglory

2 Corinthians 5:19
the context starts is v 18, Christ was reconciling the WORLD TO GOD. He is NOT reconciling it to believers. It makes believers possible. Vs 20 is the verse you need to cite for believers. We need to reconcile ourselves to God, which we do by faith.
This is the same with these texts which all say the very same thing. Col 1:20, Rom 5:8, Rom 5:18-19, II Cor 5:18-19, I Cor 15:20-22, II Tim 1:10, Heb 2:14-15, Heb 2:9, I John 2:2.
If you had bothered to check the versus I cited earlier, you would have noticed I included II Cor 5:18-19.

Christ does impute His Righteousness to mankind.
I did not say -- and neither does the Bible say -- that Christ imputes His righteousness to "mankind". Imputed righteousness is for those who believe. And if you deny that you are denying Gospel truth. But it seems from your post that you are clueless about this matter.

Never said you did, You simply misapplied the application. Christ's work does impute Christ's righteousness to mankind. You fail to engage with the texts I supplied because, either you do not understand them or you do, but they deny what your theory needs them to say.

Christ was in this world to redeem, reconcile, justify, to make it right with God. God then imputes this righteousness to mankind because man could not do what Christ accomplished for us. Here are the texts once again, only a sample of them, Col 1:20, Rom 5:8, Rom 5:18-19, II Cor 5:18-19, I Cor 15:20-22, II Tim 1:10, Heb 2:14-15, Heb 2:9, I John 2:2.
If God ONLY imputes Christ's reconciliation, redemption, righteousness, justification to believers, then you of necessity cannot believe that there will be resurrection in the last day of the Just and the unjust. or more simply put all mankind. I Cor 15:52-53. Read carefully, without overlaying your theory on the text, I Cor 15:15-19. Following that is a summary of the actions of the first Adam with the Second Adam. Carefully, it never says believers, it is all mankind Your view also denies the Humanity of Christ. Your view of necessity must make a second kind of human being, different than from believers. I have never heard any scientists claim that there are two kinds of homo sapiens. Maybe you know something no one has ever known about the human race.
I'm showing you the Gospel Truth as it has been believed from the Apostles to the present.
Your theory is inconsistent with scripture. Engage your discussion around the texts I cited.

I didnt read all of your cut and paste but i did note this.

"""" (Rom. 3:23). Righteousness by faith, then, must refer to the gift of righteousness given to human beings by God.""""

So, that is correct.
The Righteousness of God, is His own Righteousness that is given to a believer, as "The GIFT of Righteousness".

To have RECEIVED God's own Righteousness, is to be "made righteousness" = having become "the righteousness of God" IN Christ.

Every Born again believer has become this "righteousness" tho its not your body......its your born again Spirit.
