It isn't heresy.
To the enemies of the cross it's a threat they can't bear to face.

Empty words born from the breath of their dark father think to assail the truth of eternal security in Christ so to make it appear false if many spew the same rhetoric.
Because in those numbers they think they can lead people to believe eternal security is a lie.

They're damned. And they want everyone to feel as insecure as they are.
The idea that God will save people forever, and there's nothing they can do to change God's grace is that what reminds the Adversary his time is short.

He knows that. It is written. Which is also why his faithful work at trying to convince people the Bible isn't really God's words, or to be believed or trusted.

They're empty and lost.
And time is short.
I want to see what you think my friend .
i was told years back by a liberal
WHEN I told her that i did not vote for either side
she replied then i have no right to whine and argue and warn .
I was told this just again today by a stuanch conservative .
SO tell me what do you beleive .
If a man like me who voted for none . NO not harris and no not trump .
Do i now have no right to warn and to complain against such .
What do you think .

The cult of “Baptists” is one that comes to mind… they teach Once Saved Always Saved….
Teaching OSAS does not designate a church as being a cult. I have noticed that folks who are mixed up in false religions and cults that promote salvation by works and other false doctrines typically suffer from a severe case of anti-OSAS derangement syndrome. False religions and cults teach doctrines that, if believed, will cause a person to remain unsaved. Simply believing OSAS or NOSAS "in of itself" is not enough to keep one unsaved. False religions and cults will deny one or more of the fundamental truths of Christianity while still claiming to be Christian.

I have to agree, this is a troll, trying to trick others into saying something he can pounce on. There is neither reason nor honesty. Ignore is best in my opinion. This is not spiritually edifying, IMO.

Much love!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Do you believe God loves the people of the world?

Ah yes and they do love their error!

You're still entertaining one of the most depraved in their fallen natural mind trolls here?

When we all get to our eternal resting place.... we'll see who ends up where and it's not look good for the OSAS folks that turn the grace of our Lord in to lasciviousness. Clouds without water they truly are

2 Peter 2:17-22
These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

OSAS?
I wonder if I am a child of destruction, and if I doubt the validity of this theory, then I may be a child of destruction.

Well OSAS is something that came out of calvinism and since calvinists claim it's God's will for most people to go to hell (limited atonement heresy) then maybe the calvinists are always questioning whether they are saved or not.

It's only natural that Paul would speak this way in Colossians 1:23 because he is addressing large groups of people who all "profess" to be Christians, without being able to infallibly know the actual state of every person's heart. How can Paul avoid giving them false assurance of salvation when not all of them may be saved? Paul knows that faith which is firmly grounded and established in the gospel from the start will continue. Those who continue in the faith show thereby that they are genuine believers who have been reconciled. But those who do not continue show that their shallow, temporary belief was not rooted, established and grounded in the gospel to begin with.

Just like in 1 Corinthians 15:1,2 - Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. To believe in vain is to believe without cause or without effect, to no purpose. If, as some are saying in Corinth, there is no resurrection, then faith is vain and worthless (vs. 14). The people who fail to hold fast to the word (the gospel) that Paul preached in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, demonstrate that they "believed in vain" (did not truly believe).

You added to scripture here @mailmandan

He’s speaking to the reconciled Christians.

Those who merely “profess” to be Christians without sincerity are not reconciled. They can fool man, but not God!

I added nothing. Paul is addressing Christians and says He has now reconciled you (aorist tense, which describes a past action that is completed) if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard. Continuing in the faith is the demonstrative evidence that He has now reconciled you. Failing to continue would demonstrate otherwise.

Just like in 1 Corinthians 15:1-2, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. To believe in vain is to believe without cause or without effect, to no purpose.

Again, Paul would speak this way in because he is addressing large groups of people who all "profess" to be Christians without being able to infallibly know the actual state of every person's heart. How can Paul avoid giving them false assurance of salvation when not all of them may be saved? Paul knows that faith which is firmly grounded and established in the gospel from the start will continue.

There are genuine Christians and there are "nominal" Christians. There are genuine believers and there are make believers and it's not hard to find them mixed together throughout scripture, throughout various churches today and throughout various Christian forum sites, including this one.

What a colossal lie.

Paul is speaking to REAL CHRISTIANS.

Paul knows full well that fake Christians are NOT saved and reconciled. He’s speaking to the genuinely reconciled people. He is WARNING them!

Stop perverting the Bible!

The scripture does not even allude to what you assert as fact. You mix lies with clever pedantic words. The simple minded fall into your web because they don’t read the Bible frequently, if at all.

Its no lie. You just don't understand. Paul is addressing real Christians and is also exposing any pseudo-Christians who may be mixed in with the group. Its the same in 1 Corinthians 15:1-2. Unless you believed in vain. You seem to be very naive about this. I see that you ignored the aorist tense, which describes a past action that is completed in Colossians 1:23.

What does that got to do with anything?

You’re just making yourself sound intelligent and superior while speaking complete fabrications.

You are an amazing Bible tampering specimen.

It must have taking you years to perfect your Bible twisting craft!

You have no fear at the word of God.

You do not tremble at the word.

You are soo steeped in your vain false religion that you don’t even react to serious Bible warnings anymore.

“…but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.” (Isa 66:2, KJV)

Don't be so dramatic. We see a similar message in Hebrews 3:14 - For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end. Notice that this is essentially a repeat of verse 6, where we read: but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house - whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.

The wording is not - "and you will become (future indicative) partakers of Christ if you (future indicative) hold fast." It is rather - "you have been, and now are, partakers of Christ (demonstrative evidence) if in the future you hold fast."

The point is that not all of these Hebrews have become partakers of Christ and of course, the only ones in the end who will be identified as having become partakers of Christ will have been those who held fast the beginning of their confidence steadfast to the end.
