Twinc,

We do not choose, but are chosen. However, our sincerity does indeed count as faith, by which we are saved...depending on just what we believe. It is important to appeal directly with God in prayer, so that if you have come under a false form of Christianity, He will guide you out of harms way and on to the correct path.

Of course it does. When two people disagree there are three options. A is right and B is wrong, A is wrong and B is right, or both A and B are wrong. The only impossibility is that A and B are both right.
