What are the best arguments for biblical inerrancy and inspiration?
I'm guessing that there is less support for biblical inerrancy than for biblical inspiration.
Let's discuss.

[
My thoughts on Biblical inspiration:

and on inerrancy:

I suppose this begs the question about what qualifies as "All scripture"?
Was this verse making reference to the canon of the 4th century?
(2 Timothy was written around 65 AD)

[
Paul already regarded Luke's Gospel as Scripture, at the very least (I Timothy 5:18), and Peter regarded Paul's letters as Scripture (2 Peter 3:15,16). This is why the 4th-century canon was composed of apostolic writings (and those of their close associates), and other documents were excluded.

like I said, what is wrong with believing the scriptures are inerrant and inspired? No thing. That is why they call it beliefs. I love Christians that look for accuracy and I love Christians that think that the world is flat.

I stand with both, arms raised singing praises to the Lord. I am highly educated on the subject of Christianity and what I have learned is that our knowledge of it all is as thin as an apple peel. The early Christians knew very little but they had a lot of faith and it is that, that saves.

In Heaven we may be shocked to learn a lot of things.

I have just looked at 4 threads. On clicking on the latest posts in them, they are all the same, nothing to do with the thread itself, but your message advertising the fact that you have started a new topic somewhere else. I am not criticising, but just wondering why, and thinking that the whole forum would get unwieldy if everyone who started a new topic posted a message advertising it on multiple threads.

I think it is smart marketing. And believe me, it works.
And like you, no one else thinks it should be done.
So, where's the problem? Sorry to waste your time.
I suppose you could weigh in on the topic?

Amazing how people attack the Bible when it's coming to pass right under their unbeliever noses!

Thanks for explaining.
I currently have nearly 280 topics. (listed)
Several with 20k views. (some with 35k views, one with 43k views)
Due to subject matter, I have been disciplined and even "permanently" banned.
But a few months later I was invited back. I picked up right where I left off.
So... uncommon behavior is a bit of a trademark for me.

I suppose we should clarify that the law wasn't Moses' law.
The Law of Moses were the BOOKS of the Law.
But the actual laws were given to Moses by God.
So... they were God's laws. Laws of the old covenant.
That's true for the 10 commandments. Probably for a bunch of the other 603 commandments, though I haven't gone through them all looking to see if the text puts the words in God's mouth.

I do know that Moses created a system of judges. I know they created some case-law. I would surmise that much of The Law came to us through that apparatus, rather than directly from the mouth of God.

There be something to that. Here are the clues I see.
These entire books (for the most part) were God giving Moses the law.

Exodus 21:1 NIV
“These are the laws you are to set before them:

Exodus 40:1 NIV
Then the Lord said to Moses:

Leviticus 1:1 NIV
The Lord called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting. He said,

Leviticus 27:1 NIV
The Lord said to Moses,

Deuteronomy 6:1 NIV
These are the commands, decrees and laws the Lord your God directed me to teach
you to observe in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess,

Deuteronomy 31:9 NIV
So Moses wrote down this law and gave it to the Levitical priests,
who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to all the elders of Israel.

Leviticus and Deuteronomy do have a lot of "thus saith the LORD." The former seems to be intended mainly for the priests, and the latter for all Israel.

Also, these are BY FAR the two LEAST charitable books in the Bible. Leviticus essentially directs the Levites to act as morality police and put to death anyone who doesn't comply (or possibly their animals instead). Deuteronomy repeatedly urges the people to "put away the evil from among you." It means to accomplish that by stoning people to death.
