Is there a simple message of the Bible?

Is there just one simple message of the Bible?


Hint: There is no wrong answer !

I do think that there is...From Gen-Rev...the message is the same.."for God so loved us.."

I see this thread is in the Debate Section...if it wasn't I wouldn't answer. :)

I can see already that we shall have many thoughts on what the message of the bible is!
But doesn't the above put the focus on "us" and not on our Lords message?
I am not sure if this IS supposed to be a 'discussion thread' or just a 'statement thread?' :)

That phrase 'Gen to Rev' is something to keep in mind.
Cuz we are not asking why we were created or what is time and space...just asking about the message of the Bible...from Gen to Rev. ;]

I was kinda figuring that was the Lord's message. To us. What we must do. I recall "the other John 3:16" (I John 3:16) that says God laid down his life for us, we ought to lay down our life for the brethren [paraphrasing].

Hmm..considering the entirety of the Bible..I would personally not say that...BUT, see...if you see that as the simple message...then, it is for you.

No wrong answers...pretend we are in a circle, an encounter group tossing ideas out...
Maybe at the end we may agree on a few mutually.

I would not call the following a "simple" message because it took several verses to convey~~ yet the point of it was/is simple enough

2 boys were friends. One invites the other to his house. He sees horses and pastures and barns and ponds..a whole Estate!
The one says, "My dad is the caretaker, just a hired hand here; we can't use any of the cool stuff."

Now in High School, the invited friend has a new friend!
He is invited over and it turns out he is the son of the Rich Guy!
He is now invited into every room of the Estate, even into the fridge, rides the horses and goes for a swim! !

I have some sort of illness that makes me cry out of the blue for no rime or reason. Most of the time it happens when I see something good happen on TV. My doctor has subscribed me a number of bills (9) to counteract this thing. They sorta work but having said that I accept it, crying can be a good thing. I cried when I read tour post.
