Revelation 12:15-16 KJV
15) And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16) And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
Fun Facts!
Did you know?
Jews fleeing Jerusalem and Judea, east into the wilderness, find themselves having to cross the Jordan Rift Valley, containing the lowest elevation on earth, and is a deep rift in the crust.
A project has been considered, and perhaps by this time begun, to channel sea water from the Mediterranian to the Dead Sea to restore it's water level.
The dead Sea itself plunges steeply to a 1000 foot depth, and is 1400 feet below sea level, demonstrating the contour of this rift.
During a mass exodus from Jerusalem and Judea, it's possible such a channel as they are talking about could be diverted to flood the Jordan Valley, and trap the fleeing Jews.
During the earthquakes prophesied for that time, it would be entirely possible that this rift could open and swallow any amount of water being diverted.
"Mouth" in Scripture has various meanings, "Who made man's mouth", "the mouth of the sword".
While it can be fascinating to puzzle over what these things may mean, what if they mean exactly what they say?
Much love!
