The point is that the AoD follows the ToD.

The WHOLE Daniel 8:9-14 Scripture is about the same false one that ends sacrifices in Jerusalem and places the "abomination of desolation". Per Daniel 11 that is the "vile person". He will be that "little horn"...

Dan 8:9-14
9 And out of one of them came forth
a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

11 Yea,
he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, "How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?"

14 And he said unto me, "Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed."
KJV

He will end the daily sacrifices required in the new 3rd temple in Jerusalem, and then in their place will setup the "abomination of desolation" IDOL at that new temple. That IDOL will be the "image of the beast" of Revelation 13.

The "sanctuary" is cleansed only by Christ's 2nd coming. Thus the end point of that "two thousand and three hundred days" is to be placed on the "day of the Lord", the day that Jesus Christ comes to end this present world and gather His elect saints.

2300 days before Jesus returns, the daily sacrifices will begin again. The 7 years is 2520 days long.

So we are talking about 220 days after the 7 years begin, the daily sacrifices will begin again.

The vile person in Daniel 11:21 is NOT referring to the end times little horn person. of Daniel 8.

The vile person in Daniel 11:21 is referring to Antiochus IV. Antiochus IV was responsible for the historic abomination of desolation, a stature image of Zeus placed in the temple.

Likewise, the end times little horn person will have a statue image of himself placed on the temple mount, as the end times abomination of desolation..

We don't know that for sure, but can only speculate. But we can know where the end point of that 2300 days sits, and it is with Christ's future 2nd coming to end this present world time. So a count backwards 2300 days comes to 220 days from the start of the 2520 days (7 years).

Within that 220 days period, the new 3rd temple must be built with sacrifices and the old covenant starting up again in Jerusalem.

Then at the MIDDLE of the 2520 days, the AOD will be setup by the coming false-Messiah in Jerusalem, leaving the latter 1260 days as the time of "great tribulation". But Lord Jesus shortened the "great tribulation", to what? See Rev.9.

The "vile person" of Daniel 11 serves as a BLUEPRINT for the FUTURE "abomination of desolation" idol in the new temple at Jerusalem. You did notice that Lord Jesus gave the "abomination of desolation" prophecy from Daniel 11 about 200 years AFTER Antiochus IV had been dead, right?

So Jesus could NOT have been pointing back in history in Matthew 24:15, but instead about the END of this world. Simple, easy, just stick to what The Bible Scripture says.

Right, what IV Antiochus did was a preview for what the end times abomination of desolation of Daniel 12:11-12 will be.

Yes, Jesus in Matthew 24:15 prophesied about what Daniel spoke about in Daniel 12:11-12.

Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

The great tribulation will be 1335 days long, total.

The first 1290 days of it is referred to Matthew 24:29 as the "tribulation of those days". When the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, Matthew 24:30a.

Yes, Jesus in Matthew 24:15 prophesied about what Daniel spoke about in Daniel 12:11-12.

Not just in Daniel 12, but also in Daniel 7, Daniel 8, Daniel 9, and Daniel 11. Different names for the coming false Messiah there, but they all represent the same "man of sin" Paul warned about for the very end of this world.

Nope. The time of "great tribulation" originally per the Book of Daniel was 1260 days, or 3 and 1/2 years, and is about the LATTER HALF of the Daniel 9:27 symbolic "one week" (7 years).

But Lord Jesus said He shortened that time of "great tribulation" for the sake of His elect, in Matthew 24.

We can spend so much time in the scriptures that we lose sight of what is the most important aspect of our relationship with God and that is that we believe that "Jesus is the Son of God."

Whether or not the last seven years is in Daniel 9:27 is 1,260 days plus a second 1260 days plus 30 days and possibly second 30 days long, i.e. 2580 days in duration, to incorporate the solar years that is dictated to us by the movement of the earth about the sun is really not that important in the overall scheme of God's redemption plan for all of the peoples of the earth. We are literally arguing over the minor details of God's plan. The important aspect of God's plan is that we, God's saints, embark on discipling all the peoples of the earth that Jesus, the Christ, is the son of God and that all of us should be worshipping God because of who God is and not what we, as humans, think that he is.

The next part of God's redemption plan is the judgement of the kings of the earth and the heavenly hosts for what they have done in trampling God's sanctuary and His earthly hosts to bring peace upon the face of the earth for 1,000 years, before they are released for a little while so that the people of the whole earth are tested to reveal their hearts and their reliance upon God's Grace for our own personal redemption at the time of the final judgement.

At this present time Islam is one of the ten religions represented by then horns on the fourth Beast of Daniel 7:7-8 and at the time of the Armageddon Judgement will disappear for a time until the Bottomless pit is opened to allow the events of the Little While period to unfold. It is my understanding that the Little while period will have a duration of around 24 years but since it is still over 1,000 years into our future, it bears no significant bearing upon the decisions that we all will make while we are alive at this present time but will be the basis of the determination of our righteousness at the time of the final judgement.

It is wise if we only focus on establishing our relationship with God at this present time and let the passing of time take care of what will happen in the future.

Shalom

Davy, Jesus was saying that the great tribulation if not limited in length no flesh shall survive. The great tribulation will be cut short of all flesh upon earth dying.... for the sake of the elect. The great tribulation will be 1335 days long. Any longer and no flesh upon earth will survive.

Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Old covenant starting up again? Impossible! Jesus made the old covenant obsolete forever when He established the everlasting new covenant with His shed blood.

Hebrews 8:13 By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.

Hebrews 10:8 Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

To say that the old covenant will start up again is an insult to the Lord Jesus Christ who put an end to the old covenant through the offering of His body! He didn't put an end to it only for it to be started up again for no good reason.

Our salvation covenant has been the same since the beginning of time, what happened on the cross was that the process by which we gain our salvation/redemption was changed by Christ's sacrifice and death on the cross. That was all that was changed to refresh the Salvation Covenant.

If our understanding had to have been "new" with respect to age, then the Greek Word would have been "neos" which has the meaning of new with respect to age.

Here is the Strong definition of H:3501.

Whereas the meaning of the Greek root word "kainos" has more to do with the freshness of the object in question such that its meaning is more in keeping with "like new" or "renewed" or "refreshed" or "refurbished."

Here is "kainos": -

That's clear as mud just like most of your beliefs. Without the blood of Christ of the new covenant, which replaced the inferior old covenant (Hebrews 8:6-7, Hebrews 10:9-10), no one from any time would be saved.

And your claim of a "brand-new" covenant means that your understanding of God's covenants with mankind is on your terms and not on God's terms.

What I have stated in my post is that the process by which we become redeemed has changed and it changed when Christ was nailed to the cross. The original covenant has not changed, only the process by which it will be processed now since the cross has been changed.

But, you want a brand-new covenant to distance yourself from God's Earthly Hosts who He will gather to Himself in our near future.

What are you talking about? You speak nothing but gibberish. No one here ever has any idea of what you're talking about.

What does this mean? Are you purposely trying to be as vague as possible?

Do you not believe that the new covenant replaced the old covenant, as scripture teaches?

Hebrews 8:6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.

But, you want a brand-new covenant to distance yourself from God's Earthly Hosts who He will gather to Himself in our near future.
What in the world does this mean? You couldn't be more vague if you tried. Are you incapable of communicating clearly?

Your rebuttal is a rebuttal based on the false argument of personally attacking the writer and not on any content in my post.

Your reference to a refreshed covenant is in regard to the Kingdom of Priests, a Holy Nation and His Possession among the Nations Covenant made with the nation of Israel at Mt Sinai. Jeremiah 31:31ff references this same covenant in that the nation of Israel rebelled against God by rejecting this covenant while Moses was still up on the Mountain with God.

The Salvation covenant is something very different and is not associated with the Jer 31:31ff covenant. The process for the Salvation Covenant was changed when Christ was nailed to the cross and was crucified as atonement for all of our collective sins.

In both referenced covenants the process by which the respective covenants would be administrated has been changed but the words of the actual covenants have not.

Hi Jay,

I did a phrase search for "new covenant" in the kjv bible. I got theses results...

Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Hebrews 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Hi Jay,

Sorry Dougggggggg, you did a search on the English translation found in the KJV. How sure are you that the Hebrew and Greek texts have been correctly and contextually translated into the English translation you chose to search for the words "new covenant" when G3501 only appears once in the book of Hebrews in Hebrews 12:24 where the correct context of the Greek text in the English text should read "And Jesus, the new mediator of the covenant," where the Greek word used in "neas" which is a variation of the Greek Root Word "neos" G:3501 which also appears in Titus 2:4 where the context is, "that they may encourage the new women to love their husbands," where the reference to the "new women" was a reference to "new Christian women," that is "recent converts to Christ."

In the Hebrews 12:24 verse the writer is telling the readers of Hebrews that Christ is the new mediator of the covenant.

However, Hebrews 8:8, 13 the Greek Root word "kainos" found in this verse is embedded in the Greek word "kainēn" where the Greek Root word G:2537 has the meaning of freshness with respect to the item being referenced. In other words in both Heb 8:8, 13, the meaning is best understood to be "refreshed like new" or "refurbished like new" which presents a very different context to the one you are wrongly suggesting.

Heb 8:8-9: - 8 Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah a refurbished like new covenant— 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord.

Verse 9 tells us that God intended to remake the Kingdom of Priest, a Holy Nation and His possession among the Nation, with the nation of Israel in the same vein as the covenant He had made with them at Mt Sinai which they had rebelled against. This means that the renewed covenant that God intends to make with Israel in our near future is basically the same covenant that was made at Mt Sinai, but with minor changes as to how the "Law" will be written this time in their hearts rather than on stone tablets. Jeremiah 31:31ff also tells us this same story of what God's intentions was when he will renew the same covenant.

Dougggg your lack of understanding is again on show in the above two posts of yours. The second one being: -
