What King matches to the King in Psalm 72?

Psa 72:3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.

// GOD'S Kingdom (Mount Zion) is Peace

Psa 72:6 He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.

// JESUS Reigns now.

Psa 72:8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

Psa 72:15 prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.

//What Jewish King asks for prayers continually besides the Ultimate King?

Psa 72:17 His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

The old testament and new testament are full of prophecies about the Messiah setting up a kingdom on earth for forever. The Jews knew this and they were focusing on the fact that Messiah would set up an earthly kingdom and overthrow the Romans who had them in subjection , So that when Jesus did not set up a kingdom immediately and overthrow the Romans, most of the Jews rejected Jesus as their Messiah.

Even John the Baptist who had earlier proclaimed that Jesus is the Messiah, started to doubt that he was the true messiah to come when he was sitting in his jail cell wanting to be freed from it by Jesus after he overthrew the Romans and set up his kingdom.

This is why John sent his disciples to ask Jesus are you the one who was to come or should we expect another?

Even when Jesus was ready to ascend to heaven, the apostles asked him, are you going to set up your kingdom at this time? They were still puzzled why Jesus wasn’t doing that, they did not realize that there would be two comings of the Messiah - the first as the sacrificial lamb, the second coming as the lion of the tribe of Judah, to set up his kingdom on earth ruling from Jerusalem on the throne of David, forever.

So I would say that that is the reason why Jesus was rejected as the Messiah to the Jews.

Maranatha
He came once for the house of Israel and He'll come again for the house of Judah! And everything else! It'll be great!

Is the core difference between Judaism and Christianity, their definition of "The Messiah" and how many there should be?

The Angel Gabriel with the message of Daniel 9:25-26 didn't seem worthy enough for them to take note of?

The linchpin of Jewish excuses is the words "Messiah" and "Anointed".

Some like to claim "Messiah" can be a title to basically anyone that wants it.

"Someone anointed with oil by a Temple official, or other authority designated by G-d"
They use Isaiah 45:1 as an example:

Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

Some claim Christians changed this use of "anointed" from "messiah" ...but that claim falls apart after looking at the dead sea scrolls: http://dss.collections.imj.org.il/isaiah#45:1

So, let's compare Isaiah 45:1 to Daniel 9:25. At first, it looks like they have a point with "māšîaḥ" but if we look at the Masoretic Text we see a difference. Inflected versus Root.

"Messiah" and "Anointed" have the same Root. But Judaism has a problem because "Messiah" remains the same when Inflected. Isaiah 45:1 has someone that was "Anointed" ...not that the person was "Messiah" like in Daniel 9:25!

This alone is enough to say they can't clown with the word "Messiah" anymore, but then they like to bring up 1 Samuel 16:12-13 ...that's not even the same word. It is missing an important character.

They might realize how monumentally important Daniel 9 was.
Words aren't the issue, they were spiritually blinded for a purpose and still are. God will lift their veils when He is ready. We can't jumpstart the process. He has two witnesses that are supposed evangelize the Jews. If not when every eye sees Christ at His coming, a light will go on. Scripture says they mourn, kick themselves in the butt and feel shame for their former rejection of Christ.

If the Reborn are Kingdom Ambassadors, why are we waiting for a physical Kingdom like the Jews are? They are waiting for a Messianic age, are we also or is LORD JESUS CHRIST Reigning right now?

Check out “amillennial eschatology”. What do people think is going on when they become Reborn? i’ll tell you, He becomes our KING.

Jews still haven’t figured out that GOD’S Kingdom isn’t physical. You become Reborn to enter it. You become Reborn for a Relationship with GOD.

If there are "many" that will awake (Daniel 12:2) and "many" Saints awoke after JESUS'S Resurrection (Matthew 27:52-53), is it telling us the OT was fulfilled and the previous Jews before JESUS were grandfathered into the Messianic Age?

Daniel 12:2
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Matthew 27:52-53

And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Is the Judgment by JESUS to end Jerusalem tell us that He is Reigning over The House of Jacob from Mount Zion (GOD'S Kingdom) as a King (Luke 19:41-44)?

"and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation."
