There is no telling who has lead you.
Maybe watchtower.

The bible teaches the trinity.
Jesus and God as deity.
The Holy Spirit as deity.
All cultists , such as yourself , deny that dynamic.

Any true believer adheres to the pillars of our faith.
We are not "mentalists" .
Every cultist is mentalist.

They seek to pervert the pillars of our faith.
Jesus as God.... they detest it.
The virgin birth, the cross, the resurrection, the blood, the gift of grace, ..
All perverted by cultists and cast down.

Or foundation is the person and deity of Christ.
All cultists AUTOMATICALLY cast down the pillars as well as the foundation.
It's just more of the same 454. If you can't deal with the OP what are you doing?

Here it is again.

Unshakable evidence!!

Jesus quoting Psalms 21:4 is where's it at.

As David wrote, He (Jesus) asked life of You (God), and You (God) gave it to him, length of days forever and ever (Psalm 21:4).
Jesus affirmed, “The Father has granted the Son to have life in Himself” (John 5:26).
Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life” (John 6:35) and, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father (for Life) except through me (John 14:6).

“I live because of the Father” (John 6:57), and again, “As the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself” (John 5:26).

Paul’s declaration in 1 Timothy simply reflects what Jesus himself had already taught: that true, self-existing immortality belongs only to the Father.

Read it carefully and you will see why and how Jesus is the first fruits of them that sleep. You will also see how high God exalted His Son in raising him from the dead and blessing him with Life Eternal.

The first of his brothers!

For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source. That is why he (Jesus) is not ashamed to call them brothers, saying, “I will tell of your name (God's Name) to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation, I will sing your praise.” Hebrews 2:11-12

I have a prophecy confirming this is true
I have the words of Jesus confirming this is true
I have the words of Paul confirming this is true

What I don't have is you confirming this is true!

My Bible says to always be ready to give an account of the hope that is within you.
All you've done is deflect and cast down verses.
They clearly say what they say.
They don't say something else.
They say what they say and you cast them down.

Now take all that and reread it through the bible.
The bible says Jesus is God
The bible says Jesus is the creator.
THAT IS YOUR STARTING PLACE.

You can spin till your head screws off and you will never convince a seasoned saint with a Bible God is a liar...As you say.

Hi @David Lamb

We are going to be looking at immortality and how Jesus was the first to receive this change of nature in himself.

We will consider these verses in their context to gain an understanding of why it was so necessary for the Christ to the first to be blessed with immortality.

In my second post we will look at Acts 2:28 in more detail.

Jesus Became Immortal:

"You have made known to me the paths of life." Acts 2:28

Though once subject to death, Jesus now lives forever, immortal, unchanged, and eternal.

Jesus laid down his life to take it up again:

"I lay down my life, that I may take it up again." John 10:17
"I am he who lives and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore." Revelation 1:18

Granted life in himself by the Father:

"For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself." John 5:26
"The life was made manifest, and we have seen it… the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us." 1 John 1:2

Now glorified—unchanging and eternal:

"You are the same, and your years have no end." Psalm 102:27
"From the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours." Psalm 110:3
Your op is cuningly denying Jesus eternal nature.
" I am the same yesterday, today and forever"

I hope you can come into the faith.
We are not " mentalists" hoping to void the deity and person of Jesus.

The Roman soldiers mocked the deity of Jesus.
When I see a cultists, I see that same mocking.
Spitting in His beautiful face.
I will , with authority , expose those that mock my God.

You missed the question - does anyone?
People in here don't see what you're doing.
You think you're real clever by saying the Father imparted life to the Son.
You're saying that Jesus had no life ,but then the father imparted life into him.
That's your underlying clever little point that you're trying to get across

" I am the same yesterday, today and forever"
I see what you did there.

Hebrews 1:2; Psalm 102:27

This does not imply that Jesus had an eternal, personal existence before his birth. Rather, the primary point of the verse is that Jesus Christ is fully capable of meeting the needs of Christians due to his work in the past, present, and future. This is clear from both the context and the structure of the verse, which can be translated as: “Jesus Christ, yesterday and today, is the same, and forevermore.”

His past work, specifically his sacrificial and atoning role as High Priest, is foundational to Christianity and has been thoroughly explained by the author. Jesus' work today continues through his intercession for believers at the right hand of God (Hebrews 7:25 and Hebrews 4:14-16). Moreover, the future remains secure for believers, as the faithfulness of Christ in the past and present guarantees the fulfillment of God’s saving purposes when He returns (see Hebrews 9:28).

The unchanging faithfulness of Jesus (Hebrews 7:24) provides a firm foundation for believers to rely on as they live by faith.

In considering Jesus' work in the past, present, and future, we see a true reflection of God name and purpose: the One who was, who is, and who will be.

Hold on, how can I be denying Jesus' eternal nature, when the Masters words are emphatic that God gave him that nature?

As David wrote, He (Jesus) asked life of You (God), and You (God) gave it to him, length of days forever and ever (Psalm 21:4).

@rebuilder 454

Let me ask you this: What purpose would God grant Jesus eternal life if he already possesses it? And why does the New Testament teach that God the Father is the only One who has immortality?

I don’t mind if you revive this thread and extend the discussion, because as you're demonstrating, many Christians aren’t familiar with this topic or its significance regarding the reward.

@rebuilder 454 while you are working through these posts here is another:

John 6:57 says: "As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me."

What Jesus is saying is either true, or you must believe he is lying if you think that Jesus lives by his own power, apart from the Father

And if you agree God gave Jesus LIFE (Immortality) then it makes sense that Jesus could say "whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me"

So, if you believe Jesus is lying, then the life that God granted to him is not in Jesus, and as a result, you have no access to that life because you don’t believe.

God is the self-existent, living Father, and because of Jesus' obedience, he is granted that LIFE.

Christ had truly a 'human body' and 'immortal' all the way because He was sinless and holy.

Only the sins of the world was placed upon Him, nevertheless His body did not 'decay' after death.

And He resurrected in the same 'body' and ascended to Heaven in the same 'body'.

Every 'mortal' sinful body of man after death 'decays', for flesh and blood shall not inherit the Kingdom of GOD.

During the 'first resurrection' the dead in Christ shall rise, and the living and remain, together will be 'changed to the immortal body', before taken up to Heaven.

Shalom in the name of Jesus Christ

The bible says Jesus is God
No it doesn't. Jesus said in prayer to God, his Father, John 17:3 (WEB):

(3) This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

The Roman soldiers mocked the deity of Jesus.
And later concluded - Mark 15:39 (WEB):

(39) When the centurion, who stood by opposite him, saw that he cried out like this and breathed his last, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!”

The Bible clearly, and repeatedly, says that Jesus was God's son, not that He was God, e.g. (all from the WEB translation):

Matthew 3:17
(17) Behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

Luke 22:70
(70) They all said, “Are you then the Son of God?” He {Jesus} said to them, “You say it, because I am.”

John 9:35-37
(35) Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of God?”
(36) He answered, “Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?”
(37) Jesus said to him, “You have both seen him, and it is he who speaks with you.”

John 10:36
(36) do you say of him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God?’

John 20:30-31
(30) Therefore Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book;
(31) but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.

Romans 1:3-4
(3) concerning his Son, who was born of the offspring of David according to the flesh,
(4) who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,

1 John 4:15
(15) Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.

1 John 5:10
(10) He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who doesn’t believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son.

etc..
