Christians can hold various views about the Bible, the biblical canon, inspiration etc. That is fine. But the Trinity is quite a core doctrine. There are many Bible haters here who list themselves as "Christians".
I know that the Bible teaches Father, Son and Holy Spirit are the ONE God of the Bible. That's what matters to me.Christians can hold various views about the Bible, the biblical canon, inspiration etc. That is fine. But the Trinity is quite a core doctrine.
Yes, it does teach that. But also church teaches that from the earliest times.I know that the Bible teaches Father, Son and Holy Spirit are the ONE God of the Bible. That's what matters to me.
That's a FACT!Yes, it does teach that. But also church teaches that from the earliest times.
This verse is quite ambiguous. If I wanted to defend the Christian teaching about Trinity, I would go with John. John has the widest and deepest texts about it.That's a FACT!
Gen 1:26 God said, "Let US make man in OUR image according to OUR likeness"!
It's pretty clear to me. God called Himself US and OUR!This verse is quite ambiguous. If I wanted to defend the Christian teaching about Trinity, I would go with John. John has the widest and deepest texts about it.
The Old Testament is not the best place for defending Trinity. It is compatible with the New Testament teaching, but Trinity is fully revealed in the New Testament. It's pretty clear to me. God called Himself US and OUR!
And Isaiah 9 calls Jesus "Mighty God".
Give me time. I always get to the clear NT doctrine! The Old Testament is not the best place for defending Trinity. It is compatible with the New Testament teaching, but Trinity is fully revealed in the New Testament.
But what if the original says like in the Talmud LXX quote, "I shall make in my image and my likeness" --part of Megillah 9aThat's a FACT!
Gen 1:26 God said, "Let US make man in OUR image according to OUR likeness"!
But the construction is followed by 3 singulars. In is translated from EIS meaning into, thus it is a physical description of introducing the other nations and tribes 3 different subjects. First, the Most High God, then his uniquely begotten son, and then miracle delivering Holy Spirit.Give me time. I always get to the clear NT doctrine!
Matthew 28:19
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the NAME of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Name is singular.
Todays christain is seen as those who are of the inclusive love , who wont correct sins and errors even within the church .How is "Christian" defined on this forum? Because I am surprised by the posts of some people here in "Christians only" section.
I pray to GOD and I HOPE that when you say the church , YA DARN sure aint talking about THE RCC .Yes, it does teach that. But also church teaches that from the earliest times.
So you believe you are now divine?God makes all in His same image who will receive Him as their own image of Love.
So, all of our English Bibles are wrong? But the construction is followed by 3 singulars. In is translated from EIS meaning into, thus it is a physical description of introducing the other nations and tribes 3 different subjects. First, the Most High God, then his uniquely begotten son, and then miracle delivering Holy Spirit.
Sometimes they are correct. I wish they were much more accurate. So, all of our English Bibles are wrong?
Let me see. Let us look at from the chart perspective. The Holy Spirit is the Father. The son is not the Father, and the Father fathers himself per Valentinus's heresy. Makes no sense.I do not see a need to present the whole Trinity teaching in one verse. It is enough to prove that:
a) Father is God
b) Son is God
c) The Holy Spirit is God
d) There is only one God
Put together, we got Trinity. It may be also needed to prove these three are distinct persons from each other, which is easy to do, too.
Nearly all of them say US and OUR!Sometimes they are correct. I wish they were much more accurate.
