This worldly Kingdom or the spiritual kingdom!

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith." Gal. 6:7-10,

It really comes down to which world we live in.
If we live and yield to the lusts of the eyes, the lusts of the flesh and the pride of life, we'll seek fortune, fame, honour, titles, and self-glory.
We will want others to serve and honour us. We'll end up "using" them, even though we won't acknowledge that.

If we live in the spirit, in the kingdom of God, we'll sow to the spirit by the Spirit. We'll put others above ourself. We'll sow into their lives. We will value them above what they can do for us. ( I don't always find this easy, even with my husband!)
We'll sow spiritual life into them and we'll reap spiritual things perhaps not from them, but from our Father through others, in this life and the next.

We can see that the glory of this world disappears even before we leave this life.
But we still lust for it and pour our lives into it. The god of mammon (materialism) has a powerful pull on us as long as we live in the flesh, and pour our time and energy into it.

"So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want" Gal. 5:16,17 .

We'll do ourselves well, if we were honest with ourselves and took the measure of our life to see which kingdom we are operating in and sowing into.

One kingdom is fading away. It's glory passes as quickly as the days go by. The other kingdom goes on increasing in glory. Which kingdom are we sowing into?
Both kingdoms are within us and we will reap the fruit of the one we sow to.

Unfortunetly we live in two worlds.

We are wholy in this fallen world subjected to all the influences that surround us.

We are also partialy in the heavenly world, open to the influence of the Holy Spirit via various media and it is the conflict between these influences and our dessires that cause us so much inturnal conflict and anxicity.

Fortunetly our salvation is not based on how well we cope with life and its problems.

Addressing the OP.

in the parable of the sower that our Lord in Saviour spoked, he was not speaking so much to the crowd of people than much more to his disciple. as he taught them to be fisher of men likewise he is teaching them to be farmer of men.

anyone who knows of farming knows

1. you must break up the ground, else the fowl/the evil one will take away your seed.

2. one must root out weeds and rocks in order for the seed to grow, else it will be chocked out. and without proper watering, it will spring but wither.

3. by breaking the ground, and rooting out the weeds and rocks then one can sow seed INTO GOOD ground.

conclusion: good preparation will result in a good crop. as said you get what you sow.

Amen to that!! Sometimes, no OFTEN, we need the gentle rain upon the hardness of our 'ground' to soften it up.

you're 100% correct, One plant, one water, and God give the increase.

we all have a part in the ministry of God. just as he gave the 12 apostles their PART of the gospel. what he gave Peter, Paul he didn't have and what he gave Paul, James didn't have. and what he gave Jude, Peter didn't have. but when one put together all, the sum of all is great that the PART.

so no one is above or better than anyone else. we all have a part to play in the ministry of our Lord Jesus the Christ.
