We cannot trust much of retail operations out there in these days of increasing GREED labeled as "inflation" my misleading industry, media and government claims. Retailers are as bad if not worse than raw material and final output manufacturers who have ALL raised pricing for the sake of profits!

I think its up to us as believers not to be greedy ourselves, to live simple lives, and not be into consumerism. A company's job is to make a profit and grow. They can't force anyone to buy their products.

Let's just buy less stuff and be more content with what we have.

My wife and I just got back from one of those overstock stores where they dump returned items they bought in bulk into tubs for people to dig through, with everything on Saturday being $10, with the prices going down to $1 by Wednesday or Thursday. The mad rush to get to the bins first was amazing, that people would be so consumed with consumerism to try and get some better buy at that level of a rush to be first... They had to be told to not run and to not run over others.

They still ran in spire of instructions. I just stood there shaking my head at those people without trying to get to the bins for anything in all that mish-mash mix of returned and opened items with missing parts potential being a likelihood.

I haven't run anyone over but I used to be addicted to thrift store clothes and shopping for clothes in general.

It took a long time to let it go. I was into the thrill of purchase. But I looked at my husband and how he only buys maybe one video game every three months and felt a bit of shame about how I had to constantly treat myself. I was going to the thrift store every week sometimes twice a week. I always was cycling clothes in and out of the home.

I have asked my husband to help me not shop this upcoming year. I don't want my legacy to be containers full of stuff.
