A Liberal Democrat government minister in the UK has instructed government lawyers - paid for out of taxpayers' money - to ensure that Christians are not allowed to wear a cross in the workplace. This is in spite of the fact that Muslim women are allowed to wear their hijab in the workplace.

The LibDems hate Christianity. So do the Labour and Tory parties. Their dogmatic war on Christianity will not end until Christians in the UK stop voting for these ghastly people, but when will that happen?

Well the spirit behind this is of course looking for an angle that is against God. So it can't for example ban jewellery or religious symbols, it has to play the jewelery card on the one hand and the religious necessity on the other so as to allow what it wants and disallow what it wants.
But you see such a motion, (as with their determination for same sex as marriage) is against the UN Declaration of human rights. Article 18 protects freedom to manifest religion. The flagpole of these people's thinking is human rights, or more precicesly what they see as human rights, not what other's see.

Never mind LibDems, whilst I can post on good forums such as this one, there are a number of liberal forums I cant get the same posts accepted on. The ones where posts are vetted. ThinkingAnglicans for example. As an Anglican I read posts on this forum extolling the broad church, yet the majority views such as represented by GAFCON are absent; absent because they are excluded.
It isnt just about a hatred amongst some for Christianity, it is a determination to destroy it.
But thats ok, Christ has overcome the world. We are joyful in the Lord

What's kind of funny about that kind of working in the U.S., is how lot of folks wear a crucifix as mere decoration with their gothic looking outfits, and not for any purpose of following any reliigion.

The Cross is noting !
But if it has Jesus hanging on it then it is a Christian Cross.

We hear in QLD Australia are voting this saturday and a christian friend got all huffy because i said i would not vote for her liberal lot. As i don't vote for far right or left at all as they are out of line with Christ and that is for sure.
This lot of left and right idiots are supporting the gay marriage etc to full on, and bag true Christian values, what fools !
Gay marriage is like a must do top of the list thing and any that oppose it are ridiculed and despised full on with their full dictatorial force. talk about trendy dolts !

yes 'gay marriage' has become an obsession for many in the world, and with the same attitude as the men of Sodom towards Lot, get out of our way or we will treat you worse.

1 Corinthians 5

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that does not occur even among pagans: A man has his father’s wife. And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have been filled with grief and have put out of your fellowship the man who did this? Even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. And I have already passed judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present. When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord.

Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough? Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth.

I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people—not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.

What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.”

It's not the liberals, the gays, the CEOs, or the lawmakers. It's the apostate western church.

1 Chronicles 7:13-14
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

There's been a source of the Leftist ideology among today's liberalist agenda spotted back in the 1950's.

From "The Naked Communist," (1958) by Cleon Skousen
CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS (entered in Congressional Record in 1963)

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.
45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

When are people going to wake up and understand that Communism was never defeated? Most of those above Communist goals against the west are still active today, and can easily be seen at work.

Good point, sir. The Berlin wall may have fallen and the political structure of the Soviet Union may have collapsed, but the old Communist contagion was not eradicated. It's influence is strong in America.

If the reader isn't convinced of this, I invite you to peruse the pages of cpusa.com the American communist party voice box. They are very adamant about their agenda and it is obvious that many 'spin-off' groups have adopted the cpusa position.

There are certainly unattractive qualities within Christian culture that appears arrogant and judgmental, along with traits of the unexamined mind. When we deny they exist within Christianity, we look foolish to people outside Christianity because it is obvious to all who have eyes and ears.

The characteristic of exclusivity is found in every religion. It is not unique to Christianity. The problem in the west is actually an assault upon our traditional values, the underpinning of which is Christianity. Those who reject Christian ideology, those who reject Jesus actually seek approval not guidance.

The mistake Christians usually make when they speak with such folk is that they assume the heathen want to be educated. They do not in the least seek anything of the sort. They demand approval for their sinful ways and intend to use any deception or device at their command to get it. They hate Jesus and everyone who follows Him because neither He nor His disciples will yield to their debauchery.

That's the way its always been and that's the way it always will be.

but that's just me, hollering from the choir loft...

Well, I do not understand where you got the idea that all religions are exclusive.....seems too me that most (Buddhism, Hinduism, Ba'hai, Unity, Hari Krisna, Christian Science, Taoism, Sikhism, New Age, Wiccan, Satanism, Voodoo, and on and on....) are inclusive.

I really do not think your traditional values are being assaulted. It does seem to me that every time someone disagrees publicly with a traditional value defined by Conservative Christianity - a minority of Christians freak out and tell everyone the sky is falling.

How many people really want to be educated by people they disagree with? Seriously! Would you like a mormon missionary to educate you on the other gospel of Jesus Christ every time they heard something Christian out of your mouth? People are never looking to be educated by strangers from another faith group; not only to they lack credibility in their eyes, they are often seen as adversarial - I am just speaking the truth here.

All people seek approval from each other. I agree that we should be seeking approval from God, but most of us also try to seek it from humans, as well. We are created social beings.

Well thats what the atheist/secular world thinks and says.
When we deny they exist within Christianity, we look foolish to people outside Christianity because it is obvious to all who have eyes and ears.
Well it depends what you mean. We have false teaching and wrong attitudes within the membership of those who profess to be Christian. But false teaching may exclude the person by definition from actually being a Christian and wrong attitudes is something I suggest all Christians are guilty of at times, we all fall short. ... but then so do non-Christians dont they?

Ugh? Even the Bah'ai religion which is not exclusive to one religion is still exclusive to religion.

aspen2,

Do you deny it?

Well it depends what you mean. We have false teaching and wrong attitudes within the membership of those who profess to be Christian.

I am not talking about false doctrines. I am talking about arrogant Christians who exercise an 'ends justifies the means' manner of witnessing to nonbelievers, by pummeling them with doctrinal truth. Arrogance is incapable with true Christianity.

But false teaching may exclude the person by definition from actually being a Christian and wrong attitudes is something I suggest all Christians are guilty of at times, we all fall short. ... but then so do non-Christians dont they?

Since when are we called to compare ourselves with nonbelievers? Christ is our standard, not the people we serve. Preaching the wrong Kingdom excludes us from Christianity, not doctrine. Preaching the Kingdom of arrogance / prejudice / hate / disdain / envy / exclusion / etc is contrary to the Kingdom of God.

Ugh? Even the Bah'ai religion which is not exclusive to one religion is still exclusive to religion.

The Bah'ai is by definition a religion - and inclusive one. What is your point? That all creation is determined by it's definition so everything in creation must be exclusive, therefore all religions are exclusive? Unbelievable! You are in desperate need of a logic 101 class.

Well it depends what you mean. We have false teaching and wrong attitudes within the membership of those who profess to be Christian.

I am not talking about false doctrines.
But I am. Christians are not perfect, they fall short, Christ is the author of the faith, not Christians.
I am talking about arrogant Christians who exercise an 'ends justifies the means' manner of witnessing to nonbelievers, by pummeling them with doctrinal truth. Arrogance is incapable with true Christianity.
Not necessarily. The truth is what saves. It should be delivered in love, but whsilt I agree there are Christians who deliver it without love there are also Christians who deliver the truth in love and are seen as ‘pummeling non-believers with doctrinal truth’

Since when are we called to compare ourselves with non-believers?
As Christians we fall short of God’s glory just like non-believers dont we? Many of us were once non-believers. But false teaching may exclude the person by definition from actually being a Christian.
Preaching the Kingdom of arrogance / prejudice / hate / disdain / envy / exclusion / etc is contrary to the Kingdom of God.
I agree with you. The problem for Christians today in the west is often that the Kingdom of God is seen as arrogance / prejudice / hate / disdain / envy / exclusion.

The Bah'ai is by definition a religion - and inclusive one.
Its the point I made. Even the Bah'ai religion which is not exclusive to one religion is still exclusive to religion. Did you not say the Bahai religion was not exclusive? Its exclusive to atheists isnt it?
