American exceptionalism, the greatest, most blessed nation that ever existed:

1. the only country founded on the principles of individual liberty endowed by our Creator and limited government. The only one!
2. the greatest military, where we let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.
3. the greatest economy - from unleashing individual liberty
4. the most inventions and highest standard of living,
5. the only country to plant a flag on the moon, and return a man safely to Earth, the greatest accomplishment in human history.

Yes, I see where all the believing has gotten America. @Reggie Belafonte, @Debp, @Taken see it too, I imagine. Do you see where all the believing has gotten America?

America is responsible for creating a volume of new belief systems. Christianity itself is so splintered by numerous new Christian denominations that America is responsible for creating. Also there is always the threat with the division of believing groups to undo all the hard work that went into consolidating people's fair rights and treatment.

That covers most, but since the beginning of time--all through the ages--God has uniquely made Himself known if only to the few, as a ribbon of unassuming witnesses; which cannot be said of any other god or form of religion.

Doesn't look like to me anyone actually knows God. I say that because there is so much confusion and conflict around the religious communities that all say they know the true God. I can not trust anyone who'll offer me a belief in any God. Only God can offer me that, I think that's fair.

Indeed, your assessment is accurate, and your position is fair.

But that challenge of knowing what is actually true among all who say they know God, is part of His plan--it is his doing. In scripture, a testimony to this came from Moses, when after being in the presence of God witnessed by thousands, at the end of his life as Israel was about to pass over into the promised land, he showed his hand revealing what God had done, saying, "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live" (Deuteronomy 30:19). Which Moses did before all of Israel, and then Jesus did also before the Church. In other words, life is suppose to be a time of decision--ultimately "freewill"--where each person is faced with circumstances like you see in your own life, to decide their own eternal fate. And the confusion and conflict you described...is just the result of millions of people struggling with their decision. Pretty simple really.

As for only God offering that to you personally...that's what He is doing--with us all actually. But you may have to look for the handwriting on the wall to see it more clearly. Coincidences are one of the telltale signs: If you are paying attention, sometimes coincidences are just too much to actually be coincidence. There are other things too, if you are looking for them.

That's okay because no matter how much people think that manufacturing another belief will solve their current problems, in the end there will be no more things to believe in. Just the glaring fact that accurate knowledge is the only path forward.

It's not Yahweh that is resorting to that. It's Jesus who's resorting to the hell scenario. Which I assume has something to do with the Greek community while documenting the stories of Jesus in their native language. There are many references of Greek mythology in the New Testament (Like Hades)

However accepting what people may expect me to believe personally is not something I can accommodate, and I suspect that neither would they expect me to do the same to them.

Good, true. But do understand that each of our decisions that God has set before us--is on us--not on those who may good or bad advice or information. What we alone decide and believe is on us--that's the point, and the purpose of the whole universe. But that's just me saying so. Whether you believe me or believe that I was caught up to the third heaven by God in His presence and returned to give witness like a multitude of similar witnesses before me since the beginning of time--that's on you. Your decision.
