Which of the the commandments do you think you can keep ? (as a dead man) Very curious, Romans 6.
We arent dead. We are alive unto God through Jesus Christ. It is the canal man, the one who couldn't obey anything regardless how hard he tried, that is dead. The one who is alive, the new creature, can do all things through Christ who strengthens him.

I get what you are saying. I see the law as a written version of the nature of God, therefore synonymous. As to being no law when Lucifer first rebelled, don't forget that Christ said that Satan was a murderer from the beginning and the father of lies.

:) Well, by no law I meant nothing written of course, that we know of at least.

Alas, if the new creature but did. Fact is, he does not. And even if he did, God, hey, God says, his best, his very righteousness as well as works done in righteousness and of righteousness, "are like beautiful, perfect, God coercing purity and worthiness and virtuousness".

Now note those lying little devils, "...". It's not me....

That we fall is not important... So long as we arise in faith believing that God can and will continue his work of righteousness in us, for the just shall live by faith, not presumption.

It is only those alive to Gods purposes who align themselves with God's standard. The desire to and the ability to keep them is given by God. It is the carnal man that is at enmity with God's Commandments.

Which life are you claiming now, you have only one life.

You may want to re-read Romans 6 or Galatians 2:20 and see who your life is, you are no-longer a self unto self. You still claim selfhood, as if it is you plus Jesus, self-unto-self no-longer exists. You have no life of your own.

That we fall is of first importance since it is our righteousness itself that is our fall.
Confucius would be proud of this statement. "...our righteousness itself that is our fall". If that is true then Christians are of all men most miserable.

Why not get a proper understanding of the Christian's righteousness instead? It is all there in Scripture, but you should discover it for yourself.

So this 'life' you don't have because it is not your own...is it obedient to the commandments?

There is this difference between 'our righteousness' per se and "THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS".

What would you say Christ (who is your life, and the only life you have) reacts to the commandments?
We know nothing about our oneness or union (or even a birthing, born again), it is all about me. We try to make it all work according to these 66 books of scripture we have and it doesn't work. The how to books fly off the shelf one after another trying to get Christians to live the life, to no avail. The gospel of correction is on every hand to the demise of it's listeners.

Please go ahead and put them up with their meanings.

As to sin being *complex* we know from Scripture that there are just three broad lusts (or desires) within human beings which respond to temptations. But every transgression of the Law is sin, and whatsoever is not of faith is also sin. More importantly, sin must not (and should not) have dominion over any child of God. God commands holiness.
