You lose me when you refer to the Democrats as Communists. I don't take most of what you write seriously when it looks so partisan. You also lose me when talking about economics. I was a Republican when that party was in favor of less government spending. They used to be the party of fiscal restraint. No more. The spending party started when Republicans controlled the House and Senate; and it's kept going even though the Democrats got the House. The federal debt was getting higher and higher before the stimulus money on coronavirus. Trump was spending the way Chavez in Venezuela spent, the way Italy is also used to overspending. The national debt is now over 100% GDP. A prudent leader would have insisted on using the "good times" from 2016 to 2019 to paying down the debt -- but Trump was happy to keep spending more and more. We're looking more like a failed economy to me, controlled by the central government which tries to prop it up -- the way the USSR was.

I am OK with losing you. Your choice if you do not take me seriously. No harm, no foul. But if you do not take a stand for something, you will fall anything. I am partisan against communism and its evils. We are decades past the concept of partisan. It is not partisan to be on the side of God. This country is under attack and its enemy is evil. The extreme left hates hates hates anything that Christians stand for and the regular or moderate democrats do not objects...so they are just as bad. Fiscal debt

Debt is growing to the point no one is sure when it ends. In truth the mathematics say hyper inflation with final readjustment, maybe through war or social collapse.

The truth in the USA is it used to have good strong unions which protected the rights of ordinary folk and got them good wages. The economic gap between the rich and the poor is growing, and the middle class which bring stability to any society, ie a vested interest in good business and not too much money to be corrupt, but enough to keep the system running well.

The USA is doomed if they do not reestablish the hope for the normal ordinary folk, with jobs and a future. If you remove protection and rights for the majority you increase the corruption and the desire for people to cheat, because what other choice do they have. Which armed conflict since WWII has america been involved in other than the Korean war that has had a good outcome. Vietnam? No. Iraq? No. Afghanistan? No.
Economically has the USA been successful or just outsourced to the world?

Technology has worked, the internet, personal pc's.

Internally does the USA now have a self identity or value system?
The left / right divide is a symptom of this inability to decide what modern America actually is. Take the biggest challenge to our world, climate change, most have a head in the sand, quite literally. Florida is flooding, but no this is not climate change. The hottest years on record, but no this is not climate change. 50% of all insects bio mass dead, no this in not climate change. An extinction event happening before our eyes. No this is not climate change. In my childhood we had rain every day, with some off days. Now we have sunny days, weeks at a time, and droughts, year in year out.
Our climate has moved 300 miles north.
