LOL!!! A preacher was talking to a visitor at his church who did not agree with what he said so he told her I just read to you the Word of God don't you believe The Bible is True? She answered, "preacher there are lots of things in the Bible I and my church does not believe"!! SAD!!! Iwonder if she would blieveRomans 10:9-13??
Since Romans 10 is all about faith, why are you falsifying the meaning and calling it a Gospel based on works? Why don't you study that chapter properly? Or are you afraid it will expose the falsity of Five Point Calvinism?

All we can do is asked for salvation and repent. Anything else works.

If you change the gospel into law, which is what free will does, salvation then is a matter of works for the self-righteous. And no longer of grace.
She would trust in herself for salvation following your take on the matter. The gospel is essentially; Christ died for our sins according to scripture. Was buried and rose again from the dead on the third day. If you believe this it is evidence you have eternal life. Jesus said, whoever believes has eternal life.
Choosing to believe and calling on Jesus for forgiveness and salvation is NOT trusting in yourself!
If you must choose to believe, it is because you don't believe and are instead forcing your flesh into mental assent.
DO you choose to believe you are sitting in a chair? No. You believe because you experience it. If you experience Christ in the gospel, it's the same. You either believe or you do not.
""Yes!! "" You either believe or you do not. "" Which do you choose?? to believe or not believe?? All your choice!!
It's not a choice. If it is, you then choose to save yourself. If you believe the gospel it means you are born again and God saved you.
YES! "" You either believe or you do not. YOU EITHER CHOOSE TO RECEIVE THE GIFT OF SALVATION OR CHOOSE REJECT IT=ALL YOUR CHOICE!
Dave these are the possible theological avenues here:
A) Man has a choice whether or not to accept Christ. Christ loves all people, died for all people, and whomever shall believe on His name shall be saved.
or
B) God forces himself on some people and not on others. God does not love all people, let alone die for them-- rather some he created just to force to Hell. Even those that go to heaven unconsenting.
You trust in your response for salvation = works. True believers trust in Christ as their only grounds of acceptance with God.
