When I was in my 20’s I believed marriage was for the procreation of children and “sex” was not part of the agenda

I married, had two children who now have children of their own

My wife is gone so now in my old age can I rightfully enjoy the company of a woman without sinning- knowing it is not for children-?

If you're not married and are having sex with a woman ~ you're fornicating! It's that simple...

Marriage is not solely for procreation

Scripture says is not good for man, and women, to live alone. It'll lead to bad things.

So if wife has passed on, then you're allowed to remarry if you desire. It's a good thing for companionship, because a dog or cat is nowhere the happiness a woman can bring.

Marriage is defined in Gen 2:23-24....this does NOT mean a wedding at a church or a civil ceremony. It means commitment before God. God joins men and women together, not any other authority.

If God hath joined you together, then consider Ecclesiastics 6:6 "yea, though he live a thousand years twice told, yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place?"
While it might not be good for man to be alone, it is better to be alone than be with an angry woman.

The word "marry" comes from a Latin word which means "to impregnate". It was originally sanctioned by societies for the purpose of building strong families, family ties, which in turn built a strong society. I go along with that because it makes sense to me.

So I guess that means I was never married for 20 years? Since I never had kids?

Fornication is generally consensual sexual intercourse between two people not married to each other.[1][2] For many people, the term carries an overtone of moral or religious disapproval, but the significance of sexual acts to which the term is applied varies between religions, societies and cultures. The definition is often disputed. In modern usage, the term is often replaced with a more judgment-neutral term like extramarital sex.

Whatever you call it it’s not a sin to do so. Now that you opened that can of worms, what’s your view on masturbation-?

we in the USA have the “Rule Of Law” that is blind individuality.
If you are “married” the two of you will share your property equally. It is the “Law” in the USA

Google it, “marriage”; ie; The union of two tell death do you part

May children follow ..,,,. to follow your footsteps

Sooner or later this will appear in courts.

I have to tell you, the term “marriage” has been taken. It is the union of a man & a women
hopefully children will follow in their footsteps

If you want your union to be “legal” then create a term that defines this union
Have it recorded in your local court

Pop some popcorn, turn on your favorite songs, sit back & enjoy life

Note: The term “marriage” has been taken (:-

Are you sure you meant to type this and post this? That fornication between two who are not husband and wife, you say that is not sin? Since you opened that can of words, I must point out that you are a sinner and a false teacher and need to repent and Jesus will receive you.

1Co_6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1Co_7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
1Co_10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
2Co_12:21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
Gal_5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Eph_5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
Col_3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
1Th_4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
Jud_1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Rev_2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
Rev_2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
