The death by crucifixion and the resurrection of Christ can be found in the scriptures of the old testament prophets, but not the full meaning of it.
Isaiah speaks of Christ's death................[Isa 53:5 KJV] 5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed............this was only for Israel's sins
[Heb 9:15 KJV] 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions [that were] under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Hebrews above says Christ died to redeem Isarel's sins committed under the first testament
[Mat 26:28 KJV] 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Jesus said the remission of sins was for the many not ALL
[1Ti 4:10 KJV] 10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
Paul reveals Jesus is saviour for ALL not just the many which was only Israel
[1Ti 2:6 KJV] 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
Again a ransom for ALL.........it was not testified until Paul
What a bunch of false information Doug, God will not leave you unpunished on the Day on judgment day, I have warned you repeatedly and have in the past given you scripture that Jesus and the 11 knew about his death and resurection before Paul did.
In the New King James Version, Jesus repeatedly tells His disciples about His impending death and its purpose for the sins of humanity, though their understanding is often limited. He begins to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, be killed, and be raised the third day (Matthew 16:21). Peter rebukes Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!” but Jesus responds, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men” (Matthew 16:22-23), showing the disciples’ awareness. Later, Jesus takes the twelve aside, saying, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again” (Matthew 20:18-19).
In Galilee, Jesus teaches, “The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him. And after He is killed, He will rise the third day,” but the disciples did not understand this saying and were afraid to ask Him (Mark 9:31-32). Similarly, He says, “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day,” followed by a call to take up their cross (Luke 9:22-23). The disciples hear but do not grasp, as “they did not understand this saying, and it was hidden from them, so that they did not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this saying” (Luke 9:45). Again, Jesus tells the twelve, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished. For He will be delivered to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon. They will scourge Him and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again,” but they understood none of these things; this saying was hidden from them, and they did not know the things which were spoken (Luke 18:31-34).
Jesus connects His death to atonement, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified. Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain,” and “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself,” signifying His crucifixion (John 12:23-24, 32-33). At the Last Supper, He takes bread, saying, “Take, eat; this is My body,” and the cup, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins” (Matthew 26:26-28). The disciples participate, aware of His words, but their full understanding comes only after His resurrection, when He opens their minds to comprehend the Scriptures (Luke 24:45-47).
Yes Doug, Jesus told all around Him, the 12 and his close followers Knew what was to happen to Christ but you reject this information and I know why it is because you Put Paul before Christ out Lord, you elevate Paul and forget that CHRIST IS THE MASTER AND PAUL THE SERVANT. Why do refuse what is written clearly in Christ's own words, You have no excuses.
