31 years since I was born again near the end of 1989...quite a few years before that also in which I also read my Bible but did not have the illumination of the Holy Spirit to guide me.

I was born again at the age of 17...but my mother read me the Bible as a child and I was a nominal believer from a very early age.

I would consider rather two other things. One is here:

You are sounding just like a false prophet displaying your words as equal with scripture and if anyone disagrees with you they are disagreeing with God. You are treading on very shaky ground.

If I believe that my words are to be believed as scripture that does not necessarily make me a false prophet.

Jesus said,

Mat 7:16, Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Mat 7:17, Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Mat 7:18, A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Mat 7:19, Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:20, Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

So, if I bear good fruit and do not bear evil fruit, you can be certain that I am not a false prophet.

As ministers we are told to study to shew ourselves approved unto God, workmen that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

If we do that, we are more likely to preach sound doctrine and if we are preaching sound doctrine, to not believe what we are saying is to not believe truths that, if they had been believed, might have resulted in salvation in the hearer.

So, if I speak with authority (as Jesus did) that what I am saying is the truth, do not condemn me as a false prophet unless you can determine that something that I have said is false doctrine according to the word of the Lord.

No, I preach that when you come to Christ, you surrender to His will for your life. That = repentance.

You don't repent of your sins after you come to Christ, you need to repent of your sins in order to come to Christ.

If you are a worker of iniquity, He will say to you on that day, Depart from me, I never knew you (Matthew 7:23)...and you will be cast into the furnace of fire (Matthew 13:41-42.

I know that you will never get this...your eyes must gloss over these scriptures every time you read them...if you even go so far as to read all the way through the book of Matthew...but I thank you for giving me an opportunity to preach a very real aspect of the true gospel of Jesus Christ to "newbies".
