These two passages are the juxtaposition that
Should bring this post to a head.
Myself personally can not as the foundation teach OSAS.
Because it starts with Justification without taking into account regeneration and must leave out sanctification by us through the Spirit. So here are the passages:

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

Romans 5:10

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

We know the law could never perfect the worshippers conscience.

The key is what the New Covenant does.
This covenant is what governs us here while on earth[could be after too]....And it's about How we relate to God so that He can be around us now.

That is what the the kingdom is about,[but not limited to]...So Teaching OSAS one can't come to see through these lenses How eternal life that is in Christ is realized...Not without exercising the faith of Christ. This is how ".... everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure."

How does God Sactify you Wholly through His eternal Spirit? Unless you choose to obey. Meaning you are an active participant in the sanctification process.

So what do they do with all the other scriptures that show this...they try to force them to fit into their part of the puzzle ....instead of letting those scriptures be placed with no reshaping into the whole puzzle [full gospel]

The second passage shows We can be saved by His life....after being born from above, which is our reconciliation.

Aww so How can we be saved by His Life...
*When we live by His life...it clears our conscience before God....[no fear, no anxiety]
We can come boldly to the thrown of grace to receive mercy in time of help.

There something very synonymous about "live by His life" because we also come alive, really Live.....This is the action with the kingdom, for the kingdom is not eating nor drinking but peace and Joy in the Holy Ghost.

This is why we are told to: Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Why because the kingdom is peace and Joy in the Holy Ghost.

So what do you suppose happens when you interact with the kingdoms rule?

Read John John 14:23

It's not an attack. I'm trying to get you to see the narrow mindset of the Osaser. The Osas mindset cannot see 'works' and 'salvation' together in any other way other than 'works salvation'. That mindset makes it very, very difficult to talk to an Osaser. You can't reason with them. They're shut off. That's why I call Osas a cult.
Hi Ferris, My dad is a retired Baptist pastor...and I'm still go to a Baptist Church and a couple of others for Bible Study or their Sunday school.

And it's been years I have been trying to get Him to see...But knowledge is key. He is coming around. instead of cult though I call it "Baptist Teachings" lol. His eye opens wide when I say that too....lol I know it sound offensive but I point myself as having been there....It does have Cultic aspects because of the box that frames where they place passages.
I have a brother also who is a pastor and believe me...their walls as my own have come up any time you mention effort on our part.
"Legalism", "works salvation" lol they will say.
It has and still is hard to unravel everything that is connected with that teaching when we practiced in our minds over and over again where those scriptures should be placed.

May God bless you in all you do in Him, for Him and by Him..in Jesus Name....amen

Heaven.

He will not be damned.

You keep qualifying this person as a believer. So this person will be saved when Jesus comes back. As long as he really is a believer he will not be damned. I would counsel this person that if he's purposely living in sin, and not just struggling with it, he may not be the believer he thinks he is. And I would tell him that even if he really is a believer sin can harden the heart to unbelief.

Thank you for your response....we disagree a bit...so what? I though you believed in “ Lucky Repentance like JBF ......if I was wrong, you have my apology.....

Nobody comes to God lest the Spirit draw him and God knows the end from the beginning....I don’t think God would waste His time “saving” a man only to let him be “ Unsaved” later....Nobody ever became a Believer without God “ opening their heart” like He did with Lydia, the Seller Of Purple in Acts....

Once a person “ hears” the Gospel , and then actually “ believes” the Gospel because God gifted them with a Contrite and Open Heart in order to Receive and believe it.....the Onus for Salvation falls upon HIS Shoulders—- He promised to “ FINISH the Work that HE started.....I Trust Him to do that—- despite the foolish and stupidity of some men.....God HAS TO “ Finish the Job” and get them to Heaven because the most valuable thing in this Universe is at Stake— HIS WORD!

Yes. That is the presumption. The point being is that, it does not mean you actually have what you profess.
The important point is, the writer is addressing them as people who do have what they profess. He is not making the assumption that they are not saved. He is making the assumption—and is even convinced—that they are saved (Hebrews 6:9) and addresses them accordingly.
The important point is, the writer recognizes that in the church, many may well not be true believers, if not, babes. So that even while there is the presumption that all are true believers, with the apparent strong indications, from many in the church, of a lack of knowledge, understanding, and realization of the salvation of God, and amidst the persecutions from the unbelieving Jews, the writer went on to tell them “meat” truths concerning Jesus Christ and the new covenant, explaining it to them in such clear and detailed manner. And why he reminds, warns, and exhortations, is obvious.

Well we are not talking about what others say but about what scriptures say. We also are not talking about other people but about God.

Foolish? Nope. It isn’t foolish at all to point out that it is God that saves and change a person. Faith could not do that. To say that faith could is what for me is foolishness.
It is foolish because no one thinks faith in and of itself is some kind of agent that saves a person. Everyone knows it's just the conduit through which a person receives the grace of God.
Looking too much on faith takes away the Christian’s focus from the Savior. And we can see where that leads them to. It leads them more to themselves and less to God. Isn’t that foolish and sad?

Of course. But before that even get to have any meaning to the believer, he must ask himself if what believing he have in Jesus was the believing that Jesus defined in scriptures, that is, that is from the heart and that continues and endures. That makes a lot of difference.
So what do you say is how one knows he has the believing defined in scripture?
Knowing is one thing, accepting what the truth about believing is, is another thing.

All through the Bible obedience is required...

This side of the Cross....the “ obedience to the Gospel” is what Gets you Saved and it is what Keeps you Saved......

Adding to the Gospel ( 1 Cor15:1-4 )
as opposed to Resting in it will have God declare you “ Disobedient” and
BB 1953 also said he would go to Heaven even when he was an unbeliever!

Tattle-Tale. Lol....

OSASers are very quick to judge NON OSASers as unsaved because we don't swallow OSAS!

Not me. I think they are wrong — not damned...their Faith is weak, that’s all......do these people pass Paul’s Test? Yes......they believe that Jesus is the Son of God.....” If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God......You are in Christ and Christ is in you” .....He will “ NEVER leave or forsake you”.....

Adding to the Gospel ( 1 Cor15:1-4 )
as opposed to Resting in it will have God declare you “ Disobedient” and

So who is it that died? Jesus
Who is that was buried? Jesus
Who is it that has Risen? JESUS
Who is it that was seen and at the right hand of the Father? Jesus

A.Therefore who do you need to trust?_____
B. And where is forgiveness found? In _____

To be on the side of the cross....you First must be born from above.

Therefore one must Believe in the one Who was sent (Jesus)....and intend to trust Him.

In the same way:

They must believe in the one who, died, was buried and Rose from the dead. "Jesus" and intend to follow.

Eph 1:13
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

So now after you have been reconciled,

We can get to the other side

So Jesus Reconciled you by His death.

One then has received His Spirit

And now can one be "on the other side of the cross" That side that consist on "how much more will we be saved by His life." [spirit]

So one is brought near to God in order to learn How to live in His presence.

So how is the blood continually applied after

receiving the Spirit?

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1John 1:7

So how is verse 2 applied in 1 Cor 15: " Now I want to make clear for you, brothers and sisters, the gospel that I preached to you, that you received and on which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold firmly to the message I preached to you – unless you believed in vain

So we know one is said to be saved, are being saved, and will be saved.

And "are being saved" is if they keep in mind all of the Gospel including the resurrection.

Because without the resurrection How would they be given the Spirit that they may walk by it? For we know if they continue to walk by it....the blood of Jesus cleanses their sin.

Now what is interesting to me is....the sin that is being cleansed. "It include their conscience before God"

So Jesus saves From the penalty and now presence of sin, because if we walk by the Spirit we do not fullfill the lust of the flesh.

And if by the Spirit you put away the deeds of the flesh you shall live.

Walking surely shows a sign of repentance
And I truly believe the walk begins in the heart. For as said in life: that where your heart is your heels will take you to.

Henceforth, to enter rest is to rely on what God has set IN PLACE....JESUS

And to rest in, is the knowledge that God is with you.

1 Thessalonians 4:7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8 Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.

Proverbs 21:16

The one who wanders from the way of wisdom will end up in the company of the departed.

John 15:10

If you obey my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.

Duet 13;14

But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

1 John 15:4

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me.

1 John 3:15
Everyone who hates his fellow Christian is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.

John 6:56
The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood resides in me, and I in him.

Focusing on the savior IS faith. If you have faith to look at (however you do that) then you have faith in Christ. So all is good. You have exactly what you're supposed to have. You have exactly what the scriptures tell you to have—faith in God.
