That number is consistent with only about 7,000 years worth of supernovas.One of Jupiters moons called Ganymede has a strong magnetic field. Magnetic fields are generated by the liquid motion of molten metal inside a body. Billions of years is plenty of time for this moon to have cooled off, reducing it's high-energy magnetic field, indicating that it can't be billions of years old.Saturn's rings are also expanding away from Saturn, indicating that it is impossible for Saturn to be billions of years old, or it wouldn't still have rings. It is mathematically impossible.Comets are flying around space, and are constantly losing material. Since you can't keep losing material, and comets can't live more than about 10,000 years, there is no reason or explanation of why comets are still in existence in our universe. Although some theories have been proposed to explain why we still have comets, none of them can be confirmed with any evidence. The stars of our own galaxy, the Milky Way, rotate about the galactic center with different speeds, the inner ones rotating faster than the outer ones. The observed rotation speeds are so fast that if our galaxy were more than a few hundred million years old, it would be a featureless disc of stars instead of its present spiral shape. Yet our galaxy is supposed to be at least 10 billion years old - and it is still spiral shaped!As the moon rotates around the earth, it's gradually getting further away, a couple of inches a year to be exact. Based on the fact that we are gradually losing the moon, it can be concluded that the moon used to be closer to earth. If you were to bring the moon closer to the earth, it would create a problem. According to the inverse-square law, if the distance from the earth to the moon was 1/3 of it's current distance, the force of attraction between the two will be nine times greater. Hypothetically going back 1.4 billion years, the moon would have been almost making contact with earth. This is a geophysically impossible occurance. Earth has lost 10% of it's magnetic strength in the last 150 years and 40% in the last 1000 years. The earth is also constantly slowing down in it's rotation. This shows that the earth obviously used to be going faster. Going back 6000 years, this wouldn't be a problem. The magnetic field of earth alone limits it to less than 25,000 years old. If you were to go back just millions of years, the wind on earth would have been 5000 miles per hour due to the coriolis effect. It would have been impossible for any kind of land mammal to live in this kind of environment.The Sahara desert has what is known as a prevailing wind pattern. This wind pattern turns nearby land into desert in a process called desertification. A long study conducted on the Sahara Desert concluded that the desert is about 4000 years old. If the earth is billions of years old, there should be a larger desert some place due to the process of desertification. Since it is impossible for a desert to form underwater (via the lood of Noah in the bible), it's reasonable that the oldest desert is 4000 years old. All naturally occurring families of radioactive elements generate helium as they decay. If such decay took place for billions of years, much helium should have found its way into the Earth's atmosphere. The rate of loss of helium from the atmosphere into space is calculable and small. Taking that loss into account, the atmosphere today has only 0.05% of the amount of helium it would have accumulated in five billion years.(19) This means the atmosphere is much younger than the alleged evolutionary age.A study published in the Journal of Geophysical Research shows that helium produced by radioactive decay in deep, hot rocks has not had time to escape. Though the rocks are supposed to be over one billion years old, their large helium retention suggests an age of only thousands of years.(20)The pressure of oil underground is greater than the pressure of the overbearing rock. The rock above the oil can only hold the pressure from the oil for 10,000 years or less. Because of this, there should'nt be any oil still in the ground. The rocks above the oil should have cracked and the oil should have made it to the surface long ago (if the earth is billion of years old).The largest reef in the world is the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Based off of the rate of growth of this reef, scientists have concluded that it's less than 4200 years old. Billions of years is plenty of time for a larger reef to grow in our vast oceans, which indicates that our oceans, and therefore our earth, is young. As Niagara falls flows one direction, it erodes in the other. The river at the bottom of the falls (created by erosion) runs through a gorge about 7/1/2 miles long. Over a span of millions and billions of years, Niagara Falls should have eroded much farther than it currently has, proving it is fact not million of years old.Actual red blood cells and traces of the blood protein hemoglobin (which makes blood red and carries oxygen have been dicovered fossil bones from a Tyrannosaurus rex, supposedly millions of years old. The sun is shrinking constantly. The fact that I put those things together is the act of making a sandwich. I did not create the sandwich because those ingredients were already there. God made the earth in 6 days because the ingredients were already there because he created the earth in Genesis 1:1.The act of creating is taking nothing and creating it into something. Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."big difference. The 7 days is a regeneration process of the earth that was a desolate, ruined place. The fact is a earth millions or even billions of years old does not contradict the Bible/God and the creation story. In fact God hints at these facts himself throughout the Bible. Just because the earth is old does not mean that evolution exists either. Read that website your mind will change when your done.

Im not sure that I agree with every point of the evidence presented in the OP, but I am a YEC.The bible does not show that the earth is millions of years oldThe Hebrew word for 'day' can mean long ages unless it is further defined by the surrounding context....'an evening and a morning' is that context.Especially when a 'day' is very clearly defined in Genesis itself.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. (Gen 1:3-5 KJV)​

We have a planet called earth and we have a source of light.We have a dark side of this planet earth and a light side, separated by God into 'day' and Night'All that is needed now for an evening and a morning is rotation.An evening and a morning show fairly conclusively that we are talking about a single earth rotation day.There was a man named Adam made on the 6th day of creation.This mans genealogy can be show all the way up to Christ in the scriptures, even with many of the lifespans given in exact years.Scripture does not support that the earth has been here for even millions of years, let alone billions.

This tilting, combined with the earth's revolution around the sun, causes our seasons, which are absolutely essential for the raising of food supplies. OZONE LAYER The earth's atmosphere (ozone layer) serves as a protective shield from lethal solar ultraviolet radiation, which would otherwise destroy all life. EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE The earth's atmosphere also serves to protect the earth from approximately 20 million meteors that enter it each day at speeds of about 30 miles per second! Without this crucial protection the danger to life would be immense. PERFECT PHYSICAL SIZE AND MASS The earth is the perfect physical size and mass to support life, affording a careful balance between gravitational forces (essential for holding water in an atmosphere) and atmospheric pressure. NITROGEN AND OXYGEN The two primary constituents of the earth's atmosphere are nitrogen (78 percent) and oxygen (20 percent). This delicate and critical ratio is essential to all life forms. EARTH'S MAGNETIC FIELD The earth's magnetic field provides important protection from harmful cosmic radiation. WATER The earth is uniquely blessed with a bountiful supply of water, which is the key substance of life due to its remarkable and essential physical properties. And if 2 Peter 3:5-7 is a cross-reference to Genesis 1:2, then the Holy Spirit is calling your attention to something very significant that millions of 'Young Earth' Creationists are blindly overlooking. Specifically, that a glorious ancient world that God created in the distant past (Genesis 1:1), had long since been utterly destroyed, plunged into deep darkness, and overflowed by a raging flood of great waters on a universal scale at the time of Genesis 1:2.Compare the phrase "the heavens and earth, which are now" to the phrase the "heavens were of old":When Noah's flood happened did it change anything in the upper heavens? I just don't understand why a practising Christian would go down that road one little bit.It is true that there is much we do not understand, but that is where we need to trust God and believe that when we are finally with Him, when He comes again to take us home we will have millennia to sit at His feet and learn how He did it all.In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. By Him is everything made that was made...... and so on He spoke and it happened. Christians need to believe that, by faith if necessary until we can sit at His feet an learn. And I do believe that I never said that evolution exists quite the contrary in fact. Can you explain why an earth millions of years old contradicts the Bible?

Why do you want it to be millions of years old ?I may possibly be right, but I seriously doubt it. It takes a lot more faith to believe in evolution that it takes to just take scripture as it is written without trying to construct a theory based on very, very flimsy text associations.There is much we do not know, why guess ? And why guess in the direction of a theory that is designed by godless men, supported by godless men promulgated by the enemies of God.Science is supposed to be dealing only with observable, repeatable facts, no emotion, no feelings. Scientists will tell you (from a high and lofty position) that they are strictly empirical.But you start disputing their Evolutionary theories and watch the emotion.Why is the emotion suddenly found ? Coming from these minds of steel that only deal in facts.It is because they unwittingly subscribe to a system of belief. Actually Id do some research on that one. Theyre finding out that it doesnt actually take millions of years for oil to come about.

It's talking about Noah's flood also consider the Lord told Noah He would never again flood the world ad thus gave the rainbow promise. Now realise there have been many floods and rainbows if the flood were a local flood then it would mean god lied? As for genesis 1:2 I think you are reading way too much into it. Consider the following1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The beginning here denotes time, in other words time started here not before or after. Anything before would probably be considered as eternity. This verse says God created the heaven and the earth not trees, man, animals or any living thing. I am of the opinion heaven here refers to space while earth refers to the planet earth being both water and land. I believe this was the foundation of the world. A foundation is usually the first thing laid before building a house. It makes sense if in verse one God laid or created the foundation first and then proceeded forth from there. Exodus 20:11 makes it clear God created the earth in six days and mentions the heaven (space), earth and sea and “All” that is in them 2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. This is a verse that has been used to suggest all kinds of things like recreation, evolution and even the big bang. It is important to remember that the bible wasn’t numbered with verses when it was written but for easy understanding the early translators numbered it in chapters and verses it can even be seen when scripture is quoted in the old and New Testament that those quoting only referred to quotes location as in books and not chapters and verses. The word “and” in English language is used to continue a thought or link or connect two or more sentences with the same thought together. So verse 2 continues the same idea expressed in verse 1. Therefore this verse explains the state of things or of creation just like after laying the foundation for a house it would look rough. Without form i.e. no shape. Void implying empty. Darkness upon the face of the deep implying that there was darkness all over to the very depth deep also implies water. So these were the three things that describe this foundation or created matter. I believe by the Spirit of God moving over the waters He was brooding the earth which was pretty much water.
