Parade? One of pride as sinful as LGBT parade

So as the US leader proclaimed it's alright to "show off" with a parade on his birthday. This is a prideful display and a desire to be worshipped.

It is for teh birthday of the Army (its 250th) Maybe it is a prideful display, but a celebration. I don't even think God even cares as it is the world and He cares little for the lost world other than to collect His lost sheep who have not been gathered yet.

I don't think it's wrong to honour and show gratitude to the military, they lay their lives on the line to protect the nation. The concern some of us had was that the President might make it all about him, his birthday, and as a way of showing off US military might, but that doesn't appear to have happened from what I was able to see. Otherwise the MSM would have been all over that. It seems he kept a low profile and let the parade be all about the army, this time around at least. I only saw small clips, but nothing about it seemed overboard that I saw.

If this is just to honour the military in front of the nation, and give thanks to God for it, that is fine in my view. Just that if it is to show off and boast of one's military might in front of the world (David's error that someone pointed out), and/or to honour oneself, that would be another thing. Well, we'll see how it goes. Think if I were a President of a democratic country I'd be taking pains to make sure it didn't look like I was honouring myself and my birthday and thus appear to be like one's enemies, the leaders of authoritarian regimes who do those things.

And keeping in mind too, that things can change, people can easily be corrupted more as time goes on. That is the danger I'm concerned about, more than the present actuality. What things are leading to, what direction they are going in. It sure looks and feels like we're living in a kind of pivotal or decisive moment of history, biblically speaking..........and because God is watching over His word to perform it, well, we can't change or alter what has been prophesied.

We cannot change or alter what has been prophesied . All we can do is warn
souls to come to Christ , warn many even in christendom of the dangers they are now in by following
a false sensual love .
I seem to notice the false prophets are all hollering the same idea as to how to attain Peace n safety
and that idea , that love they so call preach Denies Christ Jesus and has opened the door to the floods of unbelief
Oh there is a decision to be made all right .
And it goes like this .
CHOOSE YE THIS DAY WHOM YE SHALL SERVE , whether it be the one true GOD and HIS CHRIST
or the false satanic intefaith of the world , but as for the sheep WE FOLLOW THE KING JESUS and put our trust IN HIM .
There is a pivotal decisive moment indeed . And my advice to all is Dont sleep on it
Cause no man knows when the soul shall be required .
TODAY is the day of salvation . Let none harden their hearts as many did .
Beware , wonder and perish for i work a work in your days
that ye will in no wise beleive though a man declare it unto you .
Its Jesus Gospel preaching time , time to remind even much of christendom what is has lost
and the fact that many within are lost . While there still be the time to do so .
cause when they are hollering peace n safety , SOMETHING SUDDEN and SWIFTLY cometh upon them .
Known as SUDDEN destruction . Times running out .

Depends on what ya mean as older ones . Sister i been longing for the glorious day of CHRIST JESUS for years .
And this sheep is now but fifty three .
Here is the beauty of it . While here our mission should be to do all for the sakes of others
putting GOD , HIS CHRIST first and foremost and having no other love before HIM , to include family and wives , husbands .
Doing all to remind all of the truth of the LORD .
AND praise the LORD for HIS mercy and grace that such a lovely place awaits the sheep at the end of our faith .
We got TRUE HOPE for our hope be in THE LORD , not in this life and this world and its cares and pleasures and lusts .
Growing older , day by day , hour by hour
But truly we just but a day and an hour closer to THE COMING of THE KING and forever being with Him .
Sheep have one HOME . One Kingdom . and it sure aint HERE .
One day all the sheep of the KING shall forever be gathered WITH HE who has saved us and kept us
AND I GOTTA BE FULLY HONEST , THAT DAY sounds lovelier every day .
FAR far better to depart and be with CHRIST .
Till then let us be faithful in all things He did instruct doing all for the sake of others no matter the cost to us

Their 'concern' is more than concern, it is an outright hatred towards the US government and US military.
It is about US policies towards Israel and Gaza, and illegal immigration.

Malcontent overflows from their hearts. These kinds of people are unhappy about everything; they express their unhappiness at every opportunity.

Yes. I am grateful god planted me in America. However we as believers are citizens of heaven first and foremost so we must temper our sense of patriotism to the US as secondary to our citizenship of heaven.

Sounds like you're trying to pick a fight with me, lol. Paul wrote in scripture to follow him as He followed Christ, and to be imitators of him as he imitated Christ. We don't have to make too much of that, because in reality, yes of course we are to follow Christ I 100% agree. I doubt there has been anybody since Paul who was following and showing forth the image of Christ as much as he. I believe he wasn't going astray one iota or leading the early church astray one iota.....such was the great grace he had as an apostle at that time, so he was safe to follow.

I do run across some who believe scriptures such as Romans 8:29, Ephesians 5:1, Galatians 2:20 should be ignored.

Apparently they follow Paul as their idol to try and get access to the Lord as the catholics try to follow mary as their idol trying to get access to the Lord.

Idolatry is on God's list of those that do these things shall not inherit the kingdom so you should really look in to having your own direct relationship with the Lord thru Jesus Christ rather than making Paul and idol.

such was the great grace he had as an apostle at that time, so he was safe to follow.

I guess this is why some make Paul their idol and they have chosen to be followers of Paul rather than followers of Jesus.

We'll see where those who follow men instead of the Lord end up.
