Matthew 5:19 NKJV, "[Jesus states] Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven."

Let us praise The Father for His Word given through Christ Jesus His Son, and for its irrefutable accuracey and power. Let us see clearly what The Word in Matthew 5:19 has for us.

1.) It can be thoroughly asserted herein that in no manner might a person be called "least in the kingdom of heaven" unless that person is in Heaven. Therefore, lawbreakers and false teachers will be in Heaven, being least therein.

2.) Not all people in Heaven are equal, some being least, some being greatest.

3.) God's equal love for all those in His Kingdom/Family/Church does not elevate anyone to greatness in Heaven, but rather their own works on Earth of obeying The Law will elevate them to greatness. The Lawbreakers and False Teachers will be demoted to being least.

4.) When we are in Heaven, with a highly expanded knowledge base of our own lives and of Earthly history, we will be able to observe and discuss with them the demoted status of Lawbreakers and False Teachers, which they refused to do while alive on Earth when we saw their heresies. We know we will in Heaven have memory of the sins of others because John in his Revelation clearly described the Martyred Saints under The Throne speaking of their martyrdom being avenged by God.

5.) No person today can keep all of Jesus' Commands He spoke in Matthew 5. Therefore, all Believers alive today will have broken at least some of His Commands in Matthew 5. All Believers today will be relegated to a position of "least in the Kingdom of Heaven."

Remember, God's Word is immutable. Getting upset or verbal about it does not change it.

Greetings Stegley,
"[Jesus states] Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven."

Therefore, lawbreakers and false teachers will be in Heaven, being least therein.Matthew 5:19 NKJV
If your assertions above are correct, then Jesus was lying when he spoke about John who was in prison and very much alive at that time ~
11 “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. Matthew 11:11

Please read these verses in context.

Matthew 5
17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

Jesus fulfilled the law by his sinless work on the cross and he fulfilled all prophecy which the prophets spoke, regarding him in the O/T

19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

IMHO, Jesus is speaking here about believers in him, not those under the law but rather those who have accepted him as their Lord and savior under the new covenant. The bible teaches us that those who keep the entire law, yet fails in one point, is guilty of breaking it all James 2:10. With salvation comes eternal life and this life is in his son. 1 John 5:11-12. Even those who teach can stumble, that is why James emphasizes that not all should become teachers due to stricter judgment upon themselves. With that said, the bible also tells us that there is sin, not leading to death. 1 John 5:16-17. This, I believe, is within the context of believers in Christ who have been saved by grace through faith under the new covenant and are going through the process of sanctification.

20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

When John was baptizing in the Jordon, the Pharisees and Sadducees turned up as well. When he saw them, he said to them ~
“Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8 Therefore produce fruit consistent with repentance. 9 And don’t presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones! 10 Even now the ax is ready to strike the root of the trees! Therefore, every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.Matthew 3

Jesus himself when debating with the Pharisees said ~
Matthew 12
33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. 34 Brood of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart. 35 A good man produces good things from his storeroom of good, and an evil man produces evil things from his storeroom of evil. 36 I tell you that on the day of judgment people will have to account for every careless word they speak. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

You can see from scripture that unless one exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, no one will be able to enter the Kingdom of heaven. This does not mean that these same scribes and Pharisees have entered in already but rather they have not entered and will not enter the Kingdom unless they produce fruit consistent with their repentance... Thus all believers must exceed their bench mark or they will fail to enter as well.

Blessings!
