Luke 21:36 Jesus tells believers ==Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 King James Version (KJV)

9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
Those that want to argue and fight against the rapture can pray that they be left behind!!! But why do that??

Taking Scripture verses out of their context of the chapter where they appear is an old... trick. It reveals poor scholarship too.

For example, in 1 Thess.5 where you're referring to above, Apostle Paul is talking about events coming on the "day of the Lord", which is at the very end of this world. It is timed with the Armageddon event of Rev.16 on the 7th Vial. This is why he is revealing that when the deceived say, "Peace and safety", then "sudden destruction" will come upon them (1 Thessalonians 5:3). Paul was teaching that from the OT prophets about the "day of the Lord", which is the very LAST DAY of this world. No Pre-trib Rapture theory there at all!

So just what... wrath was Paul talking about in 1 Thess.5 that we are not appointed to? Since he was speaking of the "day of the Lord" timing on the last day, it's about this...

Rev 16:19-20
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
KJV

Rev 19:14-16
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
KJV

That... is the 'wrath' that Apostle Paul was talking about in 1 Thessalonians 5:9.

But that wrath there happens on the FINAL DAY of this world when Jesus comes with His army to fight Satan's host on earth! That will be at the END of the great tribulation!

So how is it the doctrine of men of a Pre-trib Rapture that you preach... instead is saying the 'wrath' Paul spoke of is for the great tribulation time PRIOR to the above events he taught there???
