The Douay Rheims is a Catholic reproduction based on the Latin Vulgate of Jerome's from the 4th century. Jerome's translation was based on two manuscripts that held sway throughout the Catholic Church even to this day. Many scholars credit Eusebius with the manuscripts from which Constantine derived his 50 Bibles. Eusebius was a great admirer of Origen, and it is without doubt that Origen's philosophical influences had a part to play in introducing error into those Bibles.
100 years before Constantine however the Bible had been disseminated throughout the empire, even as far as Britain. How? Through those church scholars who came from Jerusalem to Antioch,Pella, and beyond and translated y the Bible into the itala language of the common people. These are the bubbles used by the Waldenses throughout their history, and which brought upon them such persecution by the Roman clergy.
In that one instant quoted above, the KHV which was derived from the Textus Receptus, the numerous manuscripts that originated from those original Waldensian itala Bibles, you can read and see that it was the seed of the woman, (God speaking to Eve) that would overcome Satan. That seed was Jesus.
In the Douay Rheims it says that the woman herself, as the Catholic Church teaches is Mary, (as seen in above posts by @theefaith ) who overcomes Satan. This is a teaching derived from allegorical interpretations common to Origen's philosophy. The DR was whole derived from the Latin Vulgate which the Catholic Church teaches is the only true Bible.
The above is an example of Catholic duplicity and is off the spirit of Antichrist whereby Christ Himself is replaced and His ministry given to another.
