Luke 10:29-37 ...And who is my neighbour?
In your travels, if you see someone in need, are they also your neighbor ?

Here's my take on Luke 10:29-37
ps The "I no longer sin" types wont like it.
..
It teaches that whoever you come across that has 'need' is your 'neighbor'.
The victim (neighbor) was unknown to the Samaritan.
The attackers may have been nearby yet the Samaritan was still willing to help.
The Priest & Levite chose to avoid the situation - bit like most of us inc me.
The Samaritan did what he could to help the victim
....
How does that apply to us today ??
You walk past someone who you suspect may be homeless
You have room in your home for them till they are back on their feet.
Do you RISK speaking to them to find out then offer them a somewhere to stay.
(Bet we WOULD do that if it was a close loved family member.)
Or, like most of us INC ME, do you act like the Priest & Levite ?
..
Point , if Heaven entry for believers today requires correctly keeping the love your neighbor commandment as well as eg Matt 25:42-46 then Heaven is going to be MINUS a lot of believers from 'today'
...
So, is performance a condition today for believers to enter Heaven ?
Not according to Titus 3:5-7, Eph 2:8-9, Gal 2:16, Rom 3:28, Rom 4:5, Rom 5:1
