Dear Azim, sorry to hear you are into a depression, I don't know what say. Depression is so complex. And terrible. This despite the fact depression runs in my family for 4 generations and I had my fair share in 3 periods lasting ~2 years in waves of 7 years. I am free now for 33 years. Fact is my first depression period lasting ~2 years led me to the Lord, at the depth of my despair the Lord picked me up when I was crying out to Him for help, a life changing experience.

Depression is so complex, can have so many reasons, in my case the problem was 2 folded. Problem one, I have a chemical imbalance in my brain, some gland over there is lazy and did not produce the necessary serotonin, doctor gave me a subscription for a new medicine (1993) and within 6 weeks I was my usual self again, a miracle, never been depressed.

And there was a second problem bigger than the physical one, spiritual in nature. As a young Christian I became fascinated in the teachings of Watchman Nee, in fact I have read every book of him that was translated into Dutch. And I opened myself for leading a life in the Holy Spirit (Rom 8), overcoming sin (8:13) and receiving God's guidance, for instance this (and other verses) :

Isa 30:21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

And in retrospect here things went wrong. I had this desire to work for the Lord full time and at some point I had faith (was convinced) the Lord wanted this too. And so I gave up my good job and we started to live like that, we had some money so we could afford it, waiting and trusting the Lord He would care for the financial part. And it did not happen, after 9 months the money was up and I had to find a job to feed the mouths of my wife and 3 children. And I was devastated, what went wrong, I did not know and I fell into another depression, nothing to do with a chemical imbalance in my brain. This was serious. My faith was shaken, something was very wrong, but what?

And I realized I had to change, never make this mistake again, but how? I did nevertheless. Answers came eventually by revelation from the Lord. My walk in the Spirit back then was for real but mixed with self interest and pride, thus not pure, unacceptable for the Lord. An eye opener in tears and yet such a big lesson, but the lesson was 2 folded.

While the first part was learned (I am such a sinner, in my flesh is no good) the next part of the lesson was not learned, namely, while knowing I was forgiven, the disappointment in myself was still there. But why? Aha, that is pride as well. I still had not seen what I am, a sinner, it's what sinners do, so why the the disappointment in myself?, still hoping to do better next time? Give the flesh another big spanking and try again? And that's what I did for decades. Better not.

Alright, this has been way too long, likely it won't reflect your depression but maybe you can elaborate a bit about your depression and maybe I can say something that makes sense.

Jesus loves you.
A failure is meant to humble a person...not become pessimistic and not allow others to succeed where you have failed. It's still pride if you don't allow others to surpass you...eagerly. We are to esteem others as higher than ourselves.

So I understand why you try to impose your failed experience on me. I was called of God...kind of unwilling at first. I was not TRYING to be called or chosen. I have no religious interest or curiosities.

What is more important than being elevated in the inner man is to be broken in the enslaving outer man (sin nature). The part of you that produces all that unbridled pride. You still need to approach following Christ with the same zeal you had before. Jesus said...because of lawlessness the love of many will wax cold. So your faith and simple approach shouldn't be downgraded...but be balanced. Not utopian but based in reality.

The way up is DOWN. The way to heed what you read in the bible ..to DO God's will... is to surrender your ways of thinking that make everything a comparison to yourself. The truth exists outside of us. It's outside of you. There is no "self" in truth. Jesus is the truth. And we are to GO to Him in brokenness and humility in letting our life go...so that we can be accepted by God into His kingdom.

Once more with feeling...

Your earlier motivation was good but the flesh...the outer man ...got uplifted along with the inner man...which God wants to edify. And that outer man is STILL very active in you...so this is not ancient history..this is ongoing.

Can you be instantly freed from the flesh? Yes, The cross of Christ is the power that takes the outer man out of the way and BREAKS him. A story I once heard....Watchman Nee was once asked what the breaking of the Lord did to him. He responded by taking a cookie and breaking it in half...and then pushing the two halves back together. After that he said...that cookie will never be the same.

The deeper work of the cross breaks a man from any dependence or trust in human nature...first of all in himself.

I speak here with no intact ego...being broken by God, but still holding together, having no confidence in the flesh...in any potential for that in me...or in others. I am absolutely amazed at the lack of understanding of people here....who have NOT obeyed the Lord to seek first the kingdom. People go off half-baked and assume everyone is just like them. For the most part this is true. But not all. The Pharisees condemned many false messiahs before Jesus came along. But they got it wrong when it really counted. (Jesus' example is for more than just Him...all religious people will attack all who are godly in Christ)

Lean not on your own understanding. Seems easy but in practice almost no one can imagine something greater than his/her own judgment.

Peace

I write this to help with all the ego enslaved people here that can't hear the truth. If you can't be crucified with Christ (not just in imagination), then AT LEAST be weaned from the flesh and the ego.

How? All one can say about being crucified with Christ is that God doesn't allow the ego to enter into His kingdom....so one needs to be crucified first then raised to new life in Christ to be empowered in the inner man (only)....to walk as Jesus walked.

Otherwise one needs to be weaned of the flesh IF one wants to remain innocent of evil.

An example of this in practice is... when you drive down the road and someone cuts you off...an ego-driven person will get angry...very quickly..in a fit of passion. The solution is not to see your SELF life as yours. The self life is shared with all of fallen humanity. So don't see the one cutting you off as being outside of yourself....see it just as self. That's something you can identify with. Not your individual self...that gets angry....no the common self that understands the self in others. So then when someone cuts you off, identify with that driver, not yourself. You could easily have also cut someone off in the past just like another person did it to you. So then think...I just cut myself off. I as in EGO.

A person is deceiving themself if they identify with Christ when not being tested...and then fly off the handled when tested by the ego. Being hearers of the word and not doers.

It's better to identify with Christ IN the test...letting yourself be used and abused by others. Understanding that they are trapped in their egos.

As such I fully understand where all the unbelief comes from on my threads. But you would think that clear bible teaching would not be so hated by those who profess faith in Christ. That's what astounds me (not the carnal outbursts)

There it is again. No Scripture. No rebuttal. No answer. Just another cheap shot about AI.

And just so you are clear, I do not "ask AI what the Bible means." I search the Bible. Scripture is what I am using to prove or disprove doctrine. AI is a program that I may use for research or wording. IT IS NOT my authority and IT DOES NOT tell me what the Bible means.

So your snarky little comment is completely off point. The issue is still staring you in the face. You have been provided Scripture that disproves what you teach. Instead of addressing those verses you want to talk about AI, that is a dodge. Maybe you should try searching the scriptures instead of making it up as you go.

So stop with the AI nonsense and ANSWER THE BIBLE.

If your doctrine is biblical, prove it. Quote Scripture. If the only thing you have left is snarky comments about AI because you cannot refute the verses that are put in front of you...than you are proving my point.
You are not the bible...and AI has no soul. Your reliance on artificiality betrays your own lack of soul...it is a soulless diatribe of an ego protesting against the truth....while using a bible, no less. Of course the devil also uses the bible...and for a similar purpose, to destroy the truth.

AI is not the Holy Spirit...and neither are your opinions. You speak from your own mind...a mind that is twisted by a deviant religious indoctrination...so that you can't receive a sound and balanced teaching from the bible.

Repent from this foolishness and actually start to make a proper hierarchy of things to obey God about.

1. Lean not on your own understanding

2. Fear the Lord and depart from evil

3. Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up.

When you get to the third level...then please rejoin the conversation. Otherwise rinse and repeat.

The first step of an alcoholic is to recognize he is one. The first step of being weaned of the flesh is to recognize that the ego is lurking behind EVERYTHING that an unbroken and uncrucified person says and does ...when they claim to know something.

If my post hit a nerve by you, so be it.

The impression I got is that I was allowed to experience something that all of those who belong to Jesus will experience. . He will rejoice at the Father's gift of each one to him and sing songs of deliverance over them, pouring His Spirit on them and completely transforming them:

Ps 32:7 You are my hiding place; you shalt preserve me from trouble; you shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.
Reminds me of this verse too:

2Pe 2:9
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

If my post hit a nerve by you, so be it.
You know, one of my parents had what psychologists call narcissistic personality disorder. I knew the way he dealt with his kids wasn't right, but the idea of actual "abuse" or emotional abuse didn't occur to me until my mid forties. And around the same time I had been spending time with a friend from church who was the same......eventually had to end contact with her because of her toxic and abusive ways. And then I happened to read something about the characteristics of narcissistic personality disorder......it exactly described my parent as well as that friend. Such individuals have often suffered abuse in their growing up years and their lodestone in life in order to survive emotionally, had become all about being hyper-vigilant in keeping their ego and self-esteem boosted and protected. They are knee-jerk sensitive to any perceived slight or criticism. Part of protecting and boosting themselves involves a need to keep beating down on other people and undermining and negating the thoughts, experiences and feelings of others. Encouraging or allowing for anything good or laudable in another person is only done if/when it suits their own self-interest. They put themselves on a pedestal with a kind of assumed superiority over everyone else, and can't afford to ever admit any wrong or mistake, and even go so far as to alter memories of things they have said or done in the past in order to protect themselves from having to do that. I truly don't how God can help such people, when they can't afford to even admit to themselves when they do wrong or make a mistakes and have an inability to repent. It's like they have painted themselves into a corner that way. Although I never really give up hope with people who are like that either, only because nothing is impossible with God.

I believe I know what bothers you about AI. It allows someone to search through hundreds of posts, find your OWN WORDS, put them right beside Scripture and show you EXACTLY what you have been teaching. Thank you for enlightening me on this. But name calling will not make those words go away, and believe it or not, attacking AI doesn't make the Bible go away either.

In post #1,805 you wrote, “God will impute righteousness by faith or works.”

Scripture says God “imputeth righteousness without works” (Romans 4:6).

You said initial grace “is a free sample” and you must “buy the full measure.”

Salvation is “the gift of God: Not of works” (Ephesians 2:8-9). Paul states quite plainly, “if by grace, then is it no more of works” (Romans 11:6).

THEN you wrote, “Justification comes from the LIFE of Jesus...not His death.”

God plainly states, “being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him” (Romans 5:9).

Those are YOUR WORDS against GOD' WORD.

And instead of dealing with those Scriptures, in post #1,845 you attacked AI again by saying my use of it “betrays your own lack of soul”, using Scripture to compare me to the devil, and told me that my mind was perverted/twisted.

That is childish. That is NOT answering the Bible with the Bible. That is what someone does when they can't answer what is being pointed out to them.

You constantly try to appeal to yourself. As though your own spiritual revelations mean anything. You stated, “My doctrine follows the entire bible because I was taught by the Spirit of God.” Then, “My understanding comes from God.” Then you told someone else you were “called of God.” Ok. Good for you. But if you believe all that, then your teaching should HAVE to stand up when tested against the written Word of God. Guess what, I am taught by the Holy Spirit, and your teaching doesn't match what He has revealed in scripture.

“The spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets” (1 Corinthians 14:32). NO ONE gets to stand here and say, “God taught me this” and then dismiss what the Bible says.

Jesus said, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves” (Matthew 7:15). Yes, that is talking about you. Paul said “grievous wolves” would come into the fold SPEAKING FALSELY, to lead others away (Acts 20:29-30).

When someone exposes false teaching, calling that person names doesn't refute what they said. Let the wolf rant and rave all he wants. God's Word does not change just because someone chooses to twist it.

And if you think I am the one who doesn't know what the Bible says, here is your chance.

Quote exactly what I said that the Bible does NOT teach. Give me the post number. Then go open YOUR Bible and show me from Scripture where I am wrong.

Don't tell me about AI. Don't tell me about Lutheranism. Don't tell me about my ego, my soul, my indoctrination, or what you claim God privately taught you. SHOW ME FROM THE BIBLE.

I have done that to you. NOW DO IT TO ME.

And please take this seriously. If the gospel you are teaching here is the gospel you are trusting for your own salvation, you are in grave danger. Straight up. Paul said anyone preaching “any other gospel” was to “be accursed” (Galatians 1:9).

THIS IS ABOUT FALSE TEACHING. You attacking AI research has nothing to do with the issue at hand.

Open the Bible. Reply to the Scripture I post. Deal with God's Word.

If it doesn't line up with what you said...repent.

In post #1,805 you wrote, “God will impute righteousness by faith or works.”

God does. But you have to have the intellectual capacity to realize when something is specific without being exclusive. The surprise to people of that time was not that God wants good works...but that God accepted a faith without works.

So your ignorance is VERY great indeed. You have to read the whole bible. Give the truth a chance.
Scripture says God “imputeth righteousness without works” (Romans 4:6).

That's right. Normally we read that God imputes righteousness by what we do. It is a novelty that faith also justified. And this is for an important reason. It is ONLY faith that gets us translated into the higher walk in heaven. No one can work their way into the spiritual realm. It is by grace through faith.
You said initial grace “is a free sample” and you must “buy the full measure.”

That's right. The full measure is by BUYING the field as in the parable of the pearl of great price. Jesus counsels the Laodiceans to buy from Him....and the foolish virgins (TAKE NOTE HERE) need to go where the oil is SOLD and BUY. Also we are to buy the truth and sell it not....etc You have no real bible knowledge or understanding. You DESPERATELY need to heed my videos to escape the coming judgment against the pretenders who HEAR the word, but don't obey.
Salvation is “the gift of God: Not of works” (Ephesians 2:8-9). Paul states quite plainly, “if by grace, then is it no more of works” (Romans 11:6).

That's right. Holiness brings victory over sin....the kind of salvation that Paul preached. Are you saved from the power of sin??? (you won't answer because you hate the light)
THEN you wrote, “Justification comes from the LIFE of Jesus...not His death.”

Yes, the justification of an eternal life. Paul calls this the justification of life. He was RAISED for our justification.
God plainly states, “being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him” (Romans 5:9).

You are very slow to hear... the blood of Jesus is His life. Jesus IS ALIVE. You only consider a dead Jesus. You are dead and your religion is dead. You just don't know it yet.
T

“The spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets” (1 Corinthians 14:32). NO ONE gets to stand here and say, “God taught me this” and then dismiss what the Bible says.

You are a false prophet...so I call you out. You have seen nothing...but you have been indoctrinated by pulpiteers.

If I could ban you I would. You speak poison that destroys souls.
When someone exposes false teaching, calling that person names doesn't refute what they said. Let the wolf rant and rave all he wants. God's Word does not change just because someone chooses to twist it.

You can't understand spiritual things because you lack faith, humility, proper fear, honesty, logic, critical thinking, reading skills, hearing skills, and everything that is decent on this side of God's judgment.

Repent and seek the Lord

It is mean and arrogant to talk like that to someone. That's what you might expect from unbelievers, not those who know the Lord and especially those who claim to be speaking the oracles of God.

your ignorance is VERY great indeed.
This is not nice either.

You only consider a dead Jesus. You are dead and your religion is dead. You just don't know it yet.
So believers who have received the risen Christ and are obeying His commands in their life are dead and have a dead religion....just because we are thankful that Jesus was crucified for us and we are not in a "higher walk"? That isn't how the apostles regarded the people that made up their congregations.

You can't understand spiritual things because you lack faith, humility, proper fear, honesty, logic, critical thinking, reading skills, hearing skills, and everything that is decent on this side of God's judgment.
He lacks everything that is decent on this side of God's judgment..........because he disagrees with you?

And does the bible teach that we need logic, critical thinking, reading and hearing skills to rightly divide Gods' word? Not the bible I read.

I am speaking the truth' Unlike the liberal society that you softies have created, I'm tough on crime and I don't negotiate with terrorists.

This is not nice either.
This is why women should not teach, to preserve the truth in the church...or vote to preserve the justice in society.

What most here have received is a dead Christ...by their own admission. They are dead and their works are dead.

We are to worship God with all our minds AND hearts. You are like the Amigo fellow that thinks the mind of Christ makes you dumb. All this is an invention of the carnal mind. And that's also what you prefer.

I think what you need is deliverance, truly, Episkopos. And it doesn't much matter what one knows or has experienced if they have not love.

We are to worship Him with RENEWED mind and heart, not with carnal minds. God is not that interested or impressed with temporal minds that are due to perish in the grave one day and can't perceive the things of God.

You don't see any difference between love and permissiveness. I love God and the truth. You only love what you consider you are. And if I don't acknowledge that or affirm that, then that is not nice. As if Jesus was nice.....as if God is nice. If your encounter with God makes you think God is nice, then you have met a false god. God is fearsome...and real eternal love burns away the flesh and breaks what holds the humble soul captive. (There is no need to thank me for my ministry...my reward is not here.) :)
We are to worship Him with RENEWED mind and heart, not with carnal minds.

You resist the truth....so your mind is still carnal and self-interested. Your theory is not your practice. You honour God with your mouth but your heart is steeped in self-love.
God is not that interested or impressed with temporal minds that are due to perish in the grave one day and can't perceive the things of God.
That's not the issue. The issue is for the mind to grasp things that God has hidden from the world...like when He taught parables...which were clever and insightful...but also truthful. You are confusing intelligence with a lack of truth...hence you are no longer using intelligence or critical thinking. When you try to be clever you discover that the devil is much more so. So you get deceived based on a LACK of critical thinking and use of logic.

James 3 comes to mind, the whole chapter, taming of the tongue.

Jak 3:1 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.
Jak 3:2 For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.
Jak 3:3 If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well.
Jak 3:4 Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs.
Jak 3:5 So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!
Jak 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.
Jak 3:7 For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind,
Jak 3:8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
Jak 3:9 With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God.
Jak 3:10 From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
Jak 3:11 Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water?
Jak 3:12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water.
Jak 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.
Jak 3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth.
Jak 3:15 This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.
Jak 3:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.
Jak 3:17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
Jak 3:18 And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

I think we could make a movie out of all this talk.
So many differing opinons.
No theology.
But so what...with so many stories about this and that.

I enjoy reading those members that state that others are preaching a different gospel.

Never stopping to think that MAYBE
just maybe
THEY are preaching a different gospel.

The way things are going...
we might be finding out who's right sooner than we'd like to think.

No use telling you God's word bdavidc.

You don't believe it.

You bring your own undersanding to it instead of letting it speak to you.

God does. But you have to have the intellectual capacity to realize when something is specific without being exclusive. The surprise to people of that time was not that God wants good works...but that God accepted a faith without works.

So your ignorance is VERY great indeed. You have to read the whole bible. Give the truth a chance.

That's right. Normally we read that God imputes righteousness by what we do. It is a novelty that faith also justified. And this is for an important reason. It is ONLY faith that gets us translated into the higher walk in heaven. No one can work their way into the spiritual realm. It is by grace through faith.

That's right. Holiness brings victory over sin....the kind of salvation that Paul preached. Are you saved from the power of sin??? (you won't answer because you hate the light)

Yes, the justification of an eternal life. Paul calls this the justification of life. He was RAISED for our justification.

You are very slow to hear... the blood of Jesus is His life. Jesus IS ALIVE. You only consider a dead Jesus. You are dead and your religion is dead. You just don't know it yet.

You are a false prophet...so I call you out. You have seen nothing...but you have been indoctrinated by pulpiteers.

If I could ban you I would. You speak poison that destroys souls.

You can't understand spiritual things because you lack faith, humility, proper fear, honesty, logic, critical thinking, reading skills, hearing skills, and everything that is decent on this side of God's judgment.

Repent and seek the Lord
You continue to demonstrate that you have no idea what you are talking about. You even wrote a book proving you don't know the bible. The Bible says God "imputeth righteousness without works" (Romans 4:6), yet you preach justification by works. That isn't being "spiritual" or having a "deeper understanding." That is FALSE teaching!

God calls men who pervert His truth "false prophets, and ravening wolves" (Matthew 7: 15), "false teachers" (2 Peter 2:1), "deceivers" (2 John 7), and "false apostles, deceitful workers" (2 Corinthians 11:13). You're showing yourself to be exactly that. You contort clear passages of Scripture then accuse those who hold the Bible higher than you of being insulting. In Jesus' name stop spreading lies, humble yourself to the WORD OF GOD and repent. "Let God be true, but every man a liar" (Romans 3:4).
