But what does it say ? Matt 1:21 Whats the promise ?Did you not understand my answer in post #52? If you didn't what's the point of repeating myself?
I trust in Christ more than you do.The believer always remains "in Christ".......as that is to become born again "as a new creation".......as "one with God".
That is eternal reconciliation, that is God caused.
You need to stop trying to keep yourself saved, and trust in Christ instead.
Let's see some scripture.Jesus understands that being born again, is forever.
Listen, Its offensive to Jesus to come to forums, as you do, and deny that He keeps His redeemed saved.
"but behold, i have to abide, i have things that i must do, to save myself... to try to stay saved".
See that?
That is a denial of Jesus's Sacrifice, and you dont mind doing it., over and over.
= You deny Jesus's Sacrifice when you try to twist your 3 verses, to try to falsly prove that He does not Keep you saved.
Very good.What did Jesus finish on the Cross. ?
He finished His "one time Etennal sacrifice for sin"........by offering His Blood and Death to GOD, for you and me.
That is what Jesus "finished" on The Cross.
Matthew 1:21No. But what does it say ? Matt 1:21
So ? Whats the promise in Matt 1:21Matthew 1:21
21 And she will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins.
So?
Jesus saves the born again...HIS PEOPLE....from their sins.
And not them ONLY, but the sins of ALL THE WORLD.
1 John 2:2
2 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.
ALL of humanity was lost in the Garden...
sold to satan.
Jesus bought back ALL of humanity from satan.
But, of course, through free will, each person must DESIRE TO PLEASE GOD and not satan.
Not here to waste my time BF.So ? Whats the promise in Matt 1:21
What is the promise?Not here to waste my time BF.
If you would study the NT instead of listening to heretical teachers....
you'd understand the word of God.
You most assuredly do NOT understand Matthew 1:21 or any other biblical verse for that matter.
Ive already told you and you even agreed with me. What it DOESNT promise is that faith alone is sufficient for salvation.But what does it say ? Matt 1:21 Whats the promise ?
Well faith hasn't anything to do with the promise made in Matt 1:21, the promise is based upon the promise and ability of the one making the promise. So you adding a superfluous commentIve already told you and you even agreed with me. What it DOESNT promise is that faith alone is sufficient for salvation.
Taken,Disagree.
You can be “following along, learning about, Salvation” and “believe”, then “reject”.
That is NOT a Commitment.
That is NOT having “receiv-ED” the Gift.
That is NOT been made “sav-ED’.
Yes a man Can Fall Away.
Falling away Does NOT mean;
“Received the GIFT of Salvation”, Then the GIFT of Salvation Revoked”.
“FALL AWAY”, means;
you were Hearing, (Receiving) the Word of God;
* For Hearing, (Receiving) the Word of God;
God was BLESSING you “WITH FAITH”.
* You Being Blessed “WITH FAITH”, was you Being “Blessed, With Belief”.
* “IF”, you STOP Hearing…
“THEN”, you STOP Receiving “Faith”.
* “IF” you STOP Receiving “Faith”,
“THEN” You Become “a target”, “easily influenced”… by powers Against God; stronger that you;
(Satan, devils, celebrities, movies, games, governing authorities, etc.)
* “IF” you relent and listen, hear opposing views, consider and acquiesce and follow opposing views…
“THEN”… you have Fallen From Faith.
Yes a man CAN be Cut Off.
* “IF” you Depart from the Faith; Fall Away from the Faith…
“THEN” you ARE CUT OFF from “Receiving increased Faith.”
Yes.
“IF” you are NOT following “Him”,
“THEN” you Have Departed FROM Him.
( and He FROM you!)
Yes.
“IF” you Are NOT With Him.;
“THEN you “ARE; AGAINST Him”.
Matt 12:30
Luke 11:23
More importantly is to to “Understand WHAT Jesus’ Words MEAN.”
Rom 10:
[17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Falling Away, is A follower, being “taught” the word of God, “enlightened”, enjoying “blessings” From God…
THEN, rejecting … what he heard, learned, believed, not attributing his blessings to God…
Such a man;
“NEVER” (IF / THEN)…
Never MADE a Heartfelt Commitment of Belief unto the Lord God.
Never RECEIVED, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Never RECEIVED, the Lords Spirit “with- IN” him.
“IF” the man HAD… RECEIVED” the Baptism of the Holy Spirit….
“THEN” Gods Holy Spirit would Dwell “With-IN” the man…
AND… what Power, in this Whole World…could Convince THAT man to Reject God?
Satan?
Devils ?
Governments?
Celebrities?
Other men?
The man himself?
NaDa…. Because…
1 John 4:
[4] Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Key words…. “IN-you”
Gods Spirit “Never enters “IN” a man…”That Can There-After… EVER “Reject God”.
Missing “key Words”…
“Gods SPIRIT… iN- you…
For men who Fall from faith;
For men who Believe then Stop Believing;
For men who Follow then stop Following;
For men who Taste the word of God and Spit it out.
You confuse Gods Spirit “WITH” a man…
And Gods Spirit “IN” a man.
You can cite examples from Scripture of men WITH God, then With-Out God…
You “presume” they “were saved”…Yet Scriptures says no such thing.
Gods Spirit WITH a man…Absolutely Can Leave that man who Rejects Him.
Gods Spirit IN a man…God Shall NEVER Leave that man…Nor can that man thereafter Ever Leave or Reject God.
AND ^ THAT as well is important To Know “WHY”.
Glory to God,
Taken
No Behold.A person's works can't complete The Cross of Christ
James does not say that salvation is completed, he said that real faith in Christ is proven.........by works
in other words........the fruit of real faith.....the fruit of Christianity, is that it produces good works., and if this is not happening then the person's faith is cold or dead.
So, James said he will prove his faith to others, by his works.
He's not proving it to God, as God sees the Heart.........no works required.
However, Faith is not the Savior. Faith can't save you.
God saves you through faith.
Its (God's) ""Grace through Faith".
As far as Jesus is concerned, one can abide IN HIM,,,
and then NOT abide IN HIM.
No Behold.
James said that FAITH without works is DEAD.
Very simple but not very comfortable.
No Behold.
James said that FAITH without works is DEAD.
Don't know.So ? Whats the promise in Matt 1:21
That Jesus shall save His People from their sins !Don't know.
What do YOU believe it is??
We're discussing believers here Taken.FAITH is a Gift that Belongs to God.
Gods FAITH, WITHOUT Gods WORKS is Dead.
A man Can be Given Gods Gift of Faith…
God Gives That Gift to men who Hear His Word.
That Gift of Faith Is Dead…. WITHOUT… a man WORKING the Same WORK God WORKED.
Do you Know The WORK of God, That a man MUST ALSO WORK the Work “of God?”
It is in Scripture.
It is called… BELIEF.
A man can be Gifted (from God) Faith, upon Faith, Upon Faith…
If that man DOES NOT WORK Gods Same WORK (BELIEF)…
That mans Gift of Faith… is …
of No use, Fruitless, Dead.
You a man, can “Work your works”…
All day long.
Labor for money…Clean your house, Cook and share a meal, blah, blah…
Until you WORK the WORK of Gods Work (Believe)… your received Gift of Faith from God… is Dead.
