From my X / Twitter “For you” feed this morning:

”Paul’s instructions on relationships with others:

1. Let love be genuine.
2.Abhor evil; hold fast to what is good.
3. Outdo one another in showing honor.
4. Be patient in tribulation, constant in prayer.
5. Bless those who persecute you.

(Romans 12:9-14)”

(Dustin Benge)

Let there be more of this in our posting.

From my X / Twitter “For you feed” this evening:

“A few quick reminders for every believer before hitting ‘submit’:

Speak truth with love (Eph 4:15)
Be quick to listen, slow to speak (Ja 1:19)
Let your words build up, not tear down (Eph 4:29)
Don’t repay insult with insult (1Pet 3:9)
Avoid foolish argument (2 Tim 2:23)
Show gentleness to all (Titus 3:2)
Do everything for God’s glory (1 Cor 10:31)

The world is watching. Represent Christ well.”

(Scott Roberts)

It’s good to post it here but it would surely get wider exposure if someone would repost it in one of the “Christians Only” forums.

Nah. Just the opposite: You should ONLY stress about the stuff you can't control.

I’m speaking in this thread specifically about things which happen on internet discussion forums. Does that make a difference in your response?

We all have things we can’t control. (I’m thinking at the moment about a particular action someone else recently took on the forum that defies all logic.) I take those things to God and leave them in his hands. It brings stress relief for me.

The stuff you CAN control, you can actually do something about.

That’s true, but sometimes that produces more stress for me than things that I’m unable to control do. The same solution for things which are beyond my control brings stress relief to me.

Not really. There are different types of stress, and the focused stress of deciding your own course of action is preferable to the unfocused stress of worrying about how another party may respond.
