No ifs and's or butt's when you get to the voting booth, there is no box for "consider both the external act and the interior reality" it is either yes or no. Its either that reality or do not vote.

Right — the ballot itself is yes or no, but the reason a Christian chooses yes or no cannot be separated from God’s Law or God’s judgment. Civil law gives us a binary choice; Christian moral theology tells us how to make that choice.

Myself, I plan to adopt 3 children - I am saving what I can now.

And God will surely continue to provide for you in this endeavor, if it is His will. God bless you for your good will. May we see a renewed rise in charity toward our neighbor — including those who oppose us — and a deeper practice of restraint through abstinence until one is married and prepared to welcome and care for a child. I am confident that such a return to virtue would lead to a profound decline in despair, in violence against children both inside and outside the womb, and in the circumstances that make adoption necessary. Amen.

If it is illegal their choices are limited.

Right — and that’s exactly why Christians must discern why they vote yes or no. The reason a Christian chooses yes or no cannot be separated from God’s Law or God’s judgment. The law may limit external choices, but Christian moral theology governs the interior reasoning behind those choices.

The problem is you can't just hit someone with abortion issues, with the Law, but with Example and the Law.

The Law is pro-life, but the Example is to be the One who will take care of that life.

If we can't take care of the children they do not kill, we have failed them.

I agree — Christian moral reasoning has never been only about God’s Law in isolation. God’s Law tells us the objective truth about the act, but the Christian example expresses the interior reality of charity, responsibility, and the willingness to care for the life we say is worth protecting.

That’s exactly why Christians cannot separate the external act from the interior intent. Civil law may address the act, but Christian moral theology requires us to consider the act and the heart when we speak about life, responsibility, and how we vote.

OK, you keep wanting to push this into the Christian moral theology.....I am all for that.
So what is your Christian moral theology telling you.....not a general statement......your Christian moral theology saying.

Christian moral theology tells me that abortion is an objective moral evil, and therefore civil law should not protect it. But that conclusion comes after the theological reasoningnot instead of it. The act is evil, and God judges the interior intent behind it. And that fits exactly with what we’ve been saying — Christians cannot separate God’s Law from the interior reality of charity, responsibility, and the willingness to care for the life we say is worth protecting. That’s why Christians cannot talk about abortion only in legal terms; we have to speak about both the act and the heart.

Just from my experience, it is very hard to think about how to deal with abortion, without forgiving, affirming and caring.

Abortion is the Devil's idea, but it is abominations that carry it out. Forgiving limits the Devil; caring for the children overcomes the abominations that say 'the Devil's evil doesn't matter'.

Whatever we affirm, we must remember that the Law is by definition pro-life.

Just so many common sense things that the left violates. So many common decency things that the left violates. I would have never thought we would be talking about a political party supporting school policies that young ladies stripping and showering with trans-males. Sexually mutilating minors without their parent's consent. And communists running for Senate!!!! Oh my gosh!

I agree — whenever Christians speak about abortion, we have to hold together both the truth of the act and the interior reality of forgiveness, mercy, and responsibility. Calling abortion an objective evil is only one part of Christian moral theology; the other part is the charity that limits the Devil’s influence and the willingness to care for the lives that are threatened or wounded.

That’s exactly why I keep stressing that Christians can’t treat abortion as a purely legal question. The Law may be pro‑life, but Christian discipleship requires us to live that truth through forgiveness, care, and the protection of the vulnerable — the act and the heart together.

Think about someone that gets raped, because society has told a bisexual woman that the consequences of the rape are irrelevant (true story).

I understand the concerns, but that’s exactly why I keep returning to Christian moral theology rather than partisan outrage. Christians have to evaluate every issue — including abortion and every other moral question — through God’s Law and the interior reality of charity, responsibility, and the protection of the vulnerable. Civil law and political rhetoric can provoke strong reactions, but Christian discernment still requires us to hold together both the act and the heart.

But what do you think the heart involvement is with abortion?

But what do you think the heart involvement is with abortion?

When Christians talk about “the heart” in relation to abortion — or any other immoral act — we’re talking about the interior reality that God judges — the intentions, fears, pressures, wounds, and moral responsibility that shape the act. Abortion is objectively evil, but the interior involvement can include desperation, coercion, confusion, or even a distorted sense of compassion.

Christian moral theology never treats the act alone as the whole story. God judges both the act and the heart, and that means Christians have to consider the mother’s circumstances, the pressures she faces, the moral formation she received, and the degree of freedom or fear involved. The heart matters because charity, responsibility, and the willingness to protect life are interior realities before they ever become external actions.

And this is exactly why Christians cannot judge the way humans often do — by the act alone. If God judged us solely on the worst thing we ever did, without considering the heart, the wounds, the intent, or the circumstances, every one of us would be condemned.

We are getting close to elections and the democrats are trying back off the WOKE/Communists thing. But they are not backing off abortion. Political commercials are running on TV, where they say abortion is women's health care.....or laws against abortions deny women's health care.
Here in Missouri we have a law on the ballot to limit abortion and the adds run saying to vote against Amendment 3 and just say to vote against Amendment 3 because politicians should not have the right to deny women's health care.
To democrats, murdering 600,000 babies a year in the US is health care, equating it to birth control.
I have strong feeling on this. We just watched a mother kill three of her kids. I believe a mother will face judgment on this as murdering her own baby.
And another thought, what are abortion doctors and nurses? What human could get up every morning and go to work to murder babies? What human heart could stand to do that? What are your thoughts
I say it is a sin to vote for a democrat.

I am opposed to abortion but this case challenges my position.

Exception to abortions
You make a good case with a 10 year old. And rape in general. A lady that is raped should go to the hospital and file a report with the police. And at the hospital a doctor can terminate the pregnancy before it goes any further.
Same goes if a woman's heath is so poor that she might not survive a pregnancy. In either case it is with her consent and in a hospital, not at an abortion clinic.
Not all will agree with this, believing it is better to let the chips fall as they may. I am fine with their objections. But it is still killing, but there is a difference between killing and murder.
