This is really something that shouldn't be joked about, because a lot of people have ruined their health by not understanding God's dietary law.

God created our flesh bodies, so He ought to well know what food is best for them and what is not.

The reason why eating pork is against His dietary law is because He created hogs as scavengers to clean the earth. A hog can digest anything, and it holds the various scavenged poisons it eats within its system. When you eat it you're eating those poisons with it. So it's not just about cholesterol.

Same thing goes with certain types of seafood, like shellfish, shrimp, lobster, crab, clams, crawfish, oysters, and even catfish or fish without scales. Those are scavengers God created to cleanse the sea.

I love bacon and barbecue, being raised in the South. And I love crab, shrimp, and lobster. But I know eating those things is not going to be good for my body's health. With some folks it could pose a great danger depending on their health condition.

Christ and His Apostles didn't do away with God's dietary law either. They simply did not forbid the Gentiles who were accustomed to eating whatever (except blood and what is sacrificed to idols) to hold to it for The Gospel's sake. They didn't make it a Salvation issue.

If we decided not to eat animals based on their diet - we would be vegetarian. I do not see dogs on the list, yet my dogs favorite delicacy is crap - not his own, he has standards - his brother's crap is fair game though.
