This whole premise falls on the idea that knowing God is an emotional experience. It is not. One of the biggest reasons why there are a lot phony Christians is that they reduce biblical conversion to being an emotional experience. That is evangelicalism, not Christianity.
I don't see any argument nor evidence. Only an opinion based upon a desire to avoid dealing with feelings.
The ONLY way you can tell you're born again is through "feelings". You can claim all the "Scripture" you want to claim but there have been many before that have done the same and failed.....
Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Joh 5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
Joh 5:41 I receive not honour from men.
Love is a feeling. Love is an emotion. Fear is a feeling. Fear is an emotion. The love of God cast out fear. The love of God replaces fear when you are "born again"....
1Jn 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
1Jn 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
1Jn 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.
Most people reject feelings and emotions in Christianity for one reason and one reason only....
They FEEL TERRIBLE.....
