Where does sin come from? We feel like we are bad people and trying to be better (after all isn't that the way the world thinks), what is it that makes me a bad person. You hear Christians say all the time they are sinners. Seems to make them feel better in they're sin. Much easy to confess "I'm just a sinner," than actually getting a new mind to go with the Christ in you nature (if they know it even exists).

Everytime we attend a funeral, or see death, it should be the reminder that these bodies are containers. First it contained you (self life unique creation), that came from Adam as a living soul. Your creation.. the soulish part of man to be an expression for life. Now in that creation soul life in Adam, something very peculiar happened, to say the least. Satan became the life (death life from the beginning) of the creation. The soul of man was taken captive by the nature of the sinner - Satan life nature in you. And man would now live by the life of another, express the new sin life. By nature, now man was now going to live by a new nature life, and all of life (nature - Romans 1:20) shows it to be a sinning rebel death life nature, that separated humanity from God - that was first put out of heaven because of the sinning rebellion of Lucifer himself. Satan is the sinner from the beginning, not the unique creation of Adam.

Now we have watched enough of Hollywood productions that give us our thoughts on what it is a Satan life would be. So humanity cannot accept the fact they have a sinning Satan rebel nature. And of coarse all of religion and even some in Christianity will not accept the fact. Can you blame them, to hear you have (or had) a Satan nature.. that will not come to us as a thought we really want to accept. John 8:41,44.

When you can finally accept the fact the first progenitor of life was Satan, you can move on in God. How is that? because your growth in the things of God is dependent on your understanding - and how all these things came into being. A birth - and now a new birth.

You have to think about your soul.. where does it get it's ideas to do and be what it is trying to do and be. Soul has no life of it's own! Think about Adam, he was innocent as a living soul, until he believed the one and only lier. Men became liers by the one lier, the same way they became sinners - by the one sinner Satan. That means soul cannot produce life.. life can only come from a father, and soul will express the life that is in it. Now we feel we can work this life out (we feel we are god's to work life out) - you cannot work life out. It is not in the soul to work life out. In body is the way spirit (it is either Satan life now, or Christ life now.. there is no other life.. not in scripture) comes out of soul through body. The unique you is expressed in body, as spirit, by soul.

You ever wonder why you would need a new mind to go with the new Christ in you nature, and allow this new life to be in you as life. The old mind looks just like the old man. So religion formulated an idea a believer can have 2, or maybe even 3 natures. No wonder people get so neurotic and have to have something to help. Aww, enter religion - it steps in for many to be the cure! Satan inspired to keep humanity separate (in mind now) from God. Satan as deceptive as he is cannot out do, or undo what God has done and is doing in the believer, and in the world! So we have the scriptures.. and in them we have the cure to lead to Christ who is our life as believers.

I suspect sin comes when we first disobey God. It creates in us a desire to disobey again, like an addiction. The more we sin, the greater the desire to sin.

Sin comes when we miss the mark.

Many people believe they are fighting the devil, however that just gets the blame on the devil than facing ones consequences for doing their own actions.

The real person one is fighting is their battle against the spiritual powers of darkness in the world that desire to put people under bondage to be a slave to sin and death.

If one quenches the spirit to much, and becomes faithless renouncing their faith. The heart has become so hard there is no room to praise God anymore. It is said he who hates his brother walks in darkness and knows not where he goes.

It’s a battle between the flesh and the spirit and as the book of James has openly stated for the past nearly 2000 years is that sin comes from ourselves.

“Let no one say, being tempted — ‘From God I am tempted,’ for God is not tempted of evil, and Himself doth tempt no one, and each one is tempted, by his own desires being led away and enticed, afterward the desire having conceived, doth give birth to sin, and the sin having been perfected, doth bring forth death.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:13-15‬ ‭YLT98‬‬

This is the reality of sin we are the ones who can become enticed.

It’s in us naturally and we are spiritually dead to the things of the spirit until one becomes born again having stepped into the light of Christ and out of the world of darkness.

(One stepping into the light of Christ is not lived changed and altered because of the new given holy spirit of God which is received through faith in the Gospel).

In Christ, good to see you Soulman,

It was Adams disobedience, but disobedience is not what sin is. Sin is what Adam recieved by disobedience. By one man sin entered into the world.. by the nature he recieved. Sin.. sinning.. death.. life.. spirit nature. The lying rebel sinner from the beginning. We are not sin.. we partook of sin, by the nature we had.. born with, and held responsible.

The image and likeness of God was distorted by his nature.. but never lost the unique imagine and likeness. Satan is sin, or the sinner from the beginning - not the unique creation of God. What did Jesus do on the cross? He destroyed the works of the devil, 1John 3:8-9. He destroyed the work of Satan from the beginning.. which was the nature Adam recieved from the sinner. It was not Adam.. it is his nature (sin in the world), Jesus took in his body and destroyed it's hold on all that would believe. That is the cross. What did Paul say about the human in Christ? - reckon yourself dead (crucified in Christ), and now you have the new Christ in you nature as born again (new nature) believers.

Soulman,

You also have scripture that talk about if you say you have no sin you make God out to be a liar. (Paraphrase).

Many people blame Satan, even try to get rid of Satan from the Garden all together. As though Satan the adversity of God that was in the heavens and decided to defy God, then was given the title deed to earth. Then Jesus defeated Satan, at the cross. Overcoming, Sin, death, hell, grave. Satan, the false prophet, and the beast have been done away forever.

When Eve decided for her self to say, I am going to eat from this tree. She was guilty of committing and act of evil. She disobeyed God, freely. Adam didn’t go and say anything to God when Eve brought him to also partake. Eve and Adam were fully responsible for themselves as God had given them dominion over all things.

Like Fuller and his small crack of a joke.

Most people like to put the blame on other people so they do not have to deal with their own shame when facing up to the truth of matters, in which say for example you are having a not so good day, and you end up going off on your wife. For things going on in your own life, that just seems out of hand.

When one redirects their thoughts and actions pertaining to themselves and God alone they are more prone to be open and honest with themselves and their faults in becoming accepting of them, and asking God to help them if there is some they they desire to change by the spirit.

When it comes to Satan I believe was an enemy who has been defeated and is now done away with.

The reality to me seems as you have flesh and I have flesh and Adam had flesh, and when upon leaving that Garden spiritual death followed. You can become spiritually alive again being reborn, you still have your flesh nature.

You won’t get rid of it until you die.

Our flesh and spirit fight each other. We do wrestle with dark spirits of the world (lust of the eye, pride of life, lust of flesh), however not Satan. It is darkness vs the light. Hate vs love.

However you do have your Father who is willingly to help you, by the Holy Spirit, if one asks.

In Christ,
Matthew Gallagher

All Christians sin Soul man, although we do our utmost not to commit a serious sin. If we do however, if we are truly repentant, we have a ransomer, Jesus, whose life was given to redeem us from our sins. It is all based on our heart, our true inner being though.

Yes believers sin. But the point was (we use the vernacular), some believers referr to themselves as sinners. Point is a sinner is one that has a sinning nature. Believers do not have a sinning nature. That is not to say they do not have sin..1John 1:8-9.. but that sin comes from soul/mind, not their spirit. A sinner according to scripture has a sinning nature.. to those that are in Christ - they have a new Christ in you nature. 1John 3:8-9.

I don't like to blame my sin on Adam. I have a choice between sinning and not sinning, don't I?

Do You think you should blame your sin on yourself, Bob?

Though we inherited this sinful fleshly nature from Adam.

We are all responsible for our choices. Your sin has been paid for though, so has it been for unbelievers.

I sin daily, however I understand my short comings. I understand that I’m not better than anyone else. I understand that Jesus is the one who makes me right with God. I understand that I am not perfect and need God to help me by the Holy Spirit, to not get to frustrated with others, to help me patient in times I’m in patience, to help me in whatever struggle it may be as I’m a Christian who is a sinner saved by grace through faith, though I understand when I walk by the spirit I’m a son of God. And so is everyone else that does the same thing.

My life changed (Jesus entered my life) when the hating went away, I still am short of the glory of God.

Right we have no right now to blame! We have a choice. That is how the law works.. it exposed the sin, and now we have nothing but grace to keep us. We can't sin and then go to the law for forgiveness.. doesn't work. We have a cross.. and what I see in scripture is, we must live by the new life now. That is the new responsible of born again believer.

We don't blame Adam, but see the old man crucified in Christ on the cross. The works of sin have been destroyed.. in Christ.

Some people in history really hated their flesh, and they really drove the nail hard about having to be perfect.

What an unfortunate mind state to be in that you need to be perfect all the time, constantly 24/7 never making any mistakes.

The flesh sins.
The spirit doesn’t sin.

Sin has been paid for.

What you do about that is up to you.

Correct.. it is a complete lack of dividing of soul and spirit. It is all written.. we need to read it. Know where to read and get it fix by the Spirit to know, knowledge, understanding,.of scripture. Major lack in the preaching of what it is the believer is now in Christ

Soulman,

When I use to hate my mother. I should point at myself at the mirror and tell myself about the things I’ve done. When I hated my family, when I used and manipulated people for my own gain, when I have thoughts about hitting someone in the face when I am ill.

I’m responsible for all of these thoughts, for they are coming from my flesh the only way to negate them is to worship, pray, and seek God to be moved by the spirit instead though my flesh is always capable of messing up.

I realize now I’m forgiven because of Christ Jesus for my past doings, present and future. The spirit brings more life into a person, by following after Jesus.

I don’t harp on myself anymore when I mess up, it just stunts your growth as a Christian I believe, work it out between you and God.

And your right about us reading to learn, grow and know.

Yes absolutely.. but the cure for humanity now resides in the finished work of the cross, and the knowing. Believers need to know. What caused our trouble? Sin in man. Was not the man.. but what happened to the one man (Adam), and sin entered into the world with all of its works. 1John 3:8-9.
