That song "Mighty Warrior" has been playing in my head. I believe it's the only thing keeping my head above the waters. " elevated is my head above my enemies crown the King of glory." I also pray for the singer that she is not attacked by the enemy for singing that song. That everytime she sings it God protect her.
Hey Kayla, I'm so glad that you mentioned that you slept like a baby. I read that you had a seizure a few yrs ago and also spine surgery.. digestive issues- that last one is so very common these days thanks to a few reasons- the foods we eat for one.
A clean diet- free of chemicals and limiting grains and dairy- and herbal remedies and water kefir is a great way to go. Your system needs time to heal. There is a lot damage done to our digestive system and gut.
I'm wondering about the seizure- was that just once? What was the cause according to the doc? Are you medicated for prevention of seizures now?
Spinal nerve surgery- how did that go? Was it successful or do you still have pain? Any meds for that now?
I'm sorry to hear about your grandpop's depression. It is also in my family but they are not Christians.- They are all very medicated. I have found that when I focus on the Lord- that I am never depressed. Circumstances in life can be depressing if we try to face them alone. But we don't have to face anything alone. Doing so is a sure way to be down. I see all things as a learning time.
Knowing that this life will have tribulations should help us. There are some false teachers that will tell you that as Christians our problems of this life will go away and prosperity comes.
No. Truth is, as you know- we do suffer and we learn to be content and grateful for what we have. But depression as caused by a chemical imbalance has
never ever been proven scientifically. Some people my hate hearing that but it's true nonetheless. Pharma is a drug seller and telling people that sells drugs. Those drugs cause other issues. And the circle goes of drug and another drug to counter effects of the first one and so on. I'm not saying that some people may need those- most do not.
For MOST people-Spending time in prayer and with other believers, physical activity, life with purpose, eating and sleeping well, sunshine or vit D supps in winter, all are good for well being. I was also raised in a family that wasn't happy. It doesn't have to be that way for you when you are old enough to be on your own. Our lives are what we make them. You may have some behaviors and ways of thinking that you've learned from your family that you will need to change... but you can do it! I have. Pray about that too.
I'm still praying for you, Kayla.
