We don’t “attend” a church. Tried different ones, didn’t like. Suffice to say, we “church” at home. Sometimes alone, sometimes with friends and family. Have some preacher friends that sometimes join. No “set time”, “locked doors” or “dress code”… and have the most Blessed Supreme teacher…
Christ the Lord 24-7.

Adult fun with the Obstical courses funny! Getting dressed with a blind fold, then seeing at the end of the day what you were wearing…funny.

Interesting to hear a 3yr old say, “when I grow up I am going to get me a wife like Rachel not Leah…because she was a tricker!!”

And I know what you mean regarding that “ugh feeling” of young adults shacking up, making babies, and seemingly wandering aimlessly. Frustrating, Concerning.

God Bless,
Taken
Now that is THE way "church" always was in the Apostles day. Church is a living, breathing entity that should be representative of Christ! I think I just coveted your church life  lol, not so!!!
BUT, how I crave that way..."The Way", Jesus Christ IS the Way, Truth and the Life...of coming together like that, nobody is left out or on their own. Amazing what can happen when raised Godly!
Unheard of around me. I've searched for private/home held bible studies, gatherings and such but, to no adieu....

I will pray about that for you and Trust God will put in your path a Bible study group of your liking. :)
One of the preachers, also a past neighbor was so interesting. He and his wife every couple of years would go live in Israel for 6 months, mingling and having religious conversations with Jews and Muslims, who on a large scale do not get the point of Christianity. Enlightening!

Half a year in Israel, spreading the gospel! What an awesome opportunity.
Thank you so much for your prayers! Planning to move back to the country, closer to 2 of my sisters and one of my brothers. My sisters and I do facetime several hours on Sundays, bible reading, discussion, prayer, giving of thanks and then we are ready to face the day. There is a prayer group my one sister goes to out there and a bible study too. The people are from different churches but all seem to be in unity with the scriptures :)

Wonderful. Prayers for you, for your finding a study group AND the fulfillment of your desire to move to the country nearer your siblings. :praying:

We live in the country and love it. Land, Trees, Animals, Birds, Critters, quiet, STARS amazing. Nearest town is 10-12 miles, about 5,000 + people, (county seat), no bars, and pretty much closes up at night.

Surely do wish the best for you friend.

Glory to God,

Glad to hear this has a happy ending @Taken!
Thank you Dev for your thoughts.
The Surgery procedure was a success.
The Incision for the Surgery is healing as expected, without pain or incident.

It is the drainage tubes, cath’s, prodding, cutting and such that have irritated internal tissues and the muscle craps causing discomfort and pain; then medicated, it wears off and the process repeats.
Normal after a Surgery, but when the pain is present of course the family becomes concerned (sometimes like a panic of compassion) of families response to the patient.

The cutting, prodding, would be excruciating without a numbing agent administered…
However the Pain and Discomfort After the fact, with or without a numbing agent having been used initially….is the same.
And how/fashion/when the pain management is administered is always going to be with a lapse of sorts. Or otherwise putting off as long as possible. A lot of pain meds are narcotics which are potent, and for some individuals easy to quickly develop an addiction.

Glory to God,
Taken

No bars!!!! That's awesome, we have them all over the place here and, people get nasty, always hearing police cars. It's loud and oh how I miss where I once lived but, I was renting the upper of an old farmhouse. 9 acres in the back and a gorgeous treeline, and yes, all those wonderful creatures! Every morning going to work, the deer were all at the tree line, the younguns would jump and leap while playing, same coming home when dark...I see them at night around a fire by the pond. So miss the peace and beauty. Really hope He will answer this and bless this decision to find a nice one level, small house with a bit of land. Thanks for those prayers my friend!!! Here are a few pics of the land I had enjoyed for 5 years and miss it like crazy...

Yes I agree. I had a surgery get infected once in my life and I was put on pain meds for several months and developed a dependancy on them. Took like two years to get off of them afterwards. So I'll pray that he heals quickly so that he doesn't have to be on them too long.

@Lambano, @amadeus, @Nancy, @Helen thank you all. Surgery a success. Son is in ICU being monitored and plan is for a few (three) days in hospital then release. Surprising for short hospital stay, but had a fairly new technique performed of no breaking of sternum or any bones, rather surgery performed making an incision between the ribs over the heart.

Thanks again. God is Good.

I had that done 20 years ago.
Also received a new heart valve and a pace maker.
It's amazing what can be done. PTL

Son update. Today had an upset. Was directed to a local hospital, chest X-rays for fluid check in the lungs. Yes there is. Cat scan performed to check for fluid around the heart. Yes there is. He was transferred to a separate Hospital Building next door to the first (same complex, with more specialized in equipment and specialist Doctors).
Been an all day affair from early AM to present sun setting, of checking, monitoring.

They have decided to admit him in Hospital. Rather he be there under supervision and necessary equipment to monitor and give aid.

Thank you all for your consideration to offer prayers for his comfort and full recovery.

Glory to God,
Taken
