Thank you for your opinion @jah Ross.

I hate that generation spoken to is lied to by Jesus according to many people.

So many make it for today, but I believe many people that do are wrong.

Whatever you predict must come true otherwise you are just fooling yourself.

No Matthew, Jesus did not lie. Why? Because he was addressing a time period some 3,000 plus solar years from when He gave this prophecy.

The problem we have today is that we have so many false interpretations of the end times that many have been led into error.

I am content to stand by what I have posted as much of what has happened and is happening today simply confirms for me that my understanding is based on scripture.

I know he didn’t.

This world will continue to go in through different ages but it will remain.

Just as Jesus said when he would come back it would never be so great again…but people say he is a liar; when they say it’s not true.
A generation is 40 years worth of time…

Not 2000 years later.

Matthew, when we have the wrong understanding of the meaning of the Greek Word "Genea" we will arrive at the wrong conclusion. This is the same Greek Word used in the LXX in Genesis 15:16 which states, "But in the fourth generation/age, they shall return here," and in 1948 AD Abraham's descendants return during the fourth generation/age to the Land of Canaan, 4000 years after the birth of Isaac during the time period of 3,073 to 4,096 solar years which is the time spam of the fourth generation/age.

The last age is made up of a Summer Season of harvest with a duration of 1,000 years plus a 24 year Little While Period when the Bottomless pit is unlocked to release Satan and his fellow heavenly hosts and the judged kings of the earth before the return of Christ to judge all the people of the earth from the time of Adam up and until the end of the seventh age.

It is the forced understanding of the Greek Word, G:1074 by man that is making Jesus' statement a lie in our minds, but certainly not in the mind of Christ, he was talking about the duration of an age/generation and not about a descendant generational time period.

I don’t go by Genesis I go by the 40 years when the generation died according to numbers. But if you differ with me that’s fine. I’m glad we differ and I’m glad I’m wrong and I’m glad that I’m stupid to most people

MatthewG, you are so close! You recognize Him in significance and meaning! His purpose surrounds you.

I don't suggest a deep dive into numerology, but there is significance in every number the Lord presents to us as there is meaning to every word. He gives us sign after sign but His signs speak to our hearts, deeper than our ears, brighter than our eyes, and stronger than every fiber of our being.

He showed me great meaning to the number 40 and I still only scratch the surface. He shows me great meaning here! He shows me great meaning in you by showing me the meaning you know without even fully realizing the depths you contact.

Generation, heritage, ancestry, lineage, what you are born with. You were born, and when the Master wakes you, you will be born again! For you and for now, He only desires that you continue to seek Him.

Hey Xtra I didn;t ask for your opinion.

I'm not close, I know.... at least faithfully.

40 years the LORD let a generation go to the ground.

Same thing which Yeshua meant when he said "generation."

It was 40 years later that the temple came down, and I believe his return came.

Tada !

A little bit of word searching and you find this,

Numbers 32:13 And Jehovah’s anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander to and fro in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of Jehovah, was consumed.

AH HA!

ALL THE GENERATION 40 years, was consumed.

Just like when Jesus would return and the temple would fall with Gods wrath upon the nation of Israel...

Yall need to be encouraged to look, and seek, and not just assume.

But I am an idiot who faithfully believes everything has come to fruition,

:Rolls eyes: I know I am far from stupid. But I don't know everything either.

Same thing which Yeshua meant when he said "generation."

He gave us the name Jesus with the explicit instruction that His was the only name by which we may be saved.

But I am an idiot

You speak a lie. The Master would not agree with this statement, and that alone makes it a lie.

I don't know everything

Only the Master does, but He gives each one the light they need to see the path to Him. Just keep walking, my friend. He is with you.

Good I’m glad I speak lies!

Yay!

You’re almost on my ignore list, Xtra.

You’re being very pestering and annoying.

Especially in the way you speak…

Thanks. You’re not adding anything beneficial in my opinion.

You are not. But I don't believe you will always sit in the seat of scoffers, my friend. I appreciate you, so per your request I will leave you be but for one last riddle; perhaps you might consider what about the voice of my words you dislike.

Thank you for leaving me be. That’s the best thing one can do. I know one thing is for sure. I don’t care sometimes either way, riddler.

The question that I have with the above verse, is how many descendant-generations was God referring to when Mose penned the book of Numbers. Was God referring to just one descendant generation or was he referring to multiple descendant generations in Num 32:13. If we read the whole of chapter Numbers 13, then it tells us that every person over the age of 20 up to the age of 120 years old will be consumed except for two men, which confirms for us that there could have been up to four or five descendant-generations who were present during the time when wondering in the desert during the time period of 40 years.

Attached is a PDF file of what I wrote 17 years ago. Much of what I held to be true back then has shifted because of my continuing scholarship of considering the meanings of Hebrew words.

I trust that it will help you in your own scholarship.

My question is why don’t you accept it and believe it that’s what Jesus said this generation won’t die until they see all these things happen. There’s some standing there today. They won’t die until they see Jesus Christ return all those things compile upon each other so I don’t know what your point is I’ve read the Bible and I know this much.

Therefore, all you can do is really just share with me. Why do you hope Jesus Christ is coming back today why do you believe it so and if it’s not true, your prediction doesn’t come true then that means that you’re lying simply.

That’s a lot of the problem I have is people been claiming that Jesus Christ is gonna return and it’s in a moment and you don’t know when it’s gonna be. Or there’s generation on generation Jesus comes back and comes back and comes back and comes back. Or there’s theirs that say be ready because God‘s gonna destroy this earth and then make it new and then everyone’s gonna have new bodies living on earth. Then there’ other traditional teachings.

A lot of those things just don’t make sense and if something doesn’t make sense, I don’t know why the hell should I believe it?

Another problem I have is people just read certain verses over and over and over again, and they forget the audience the audience which Jesus had come and preach to, and the apostles had written to people forget that stuff eventually once they’re so obsessed with the things that they’re mostly obsessed with you know that can be various depending on the subject of the person subjectively what they believe personally. Which is all fine. People are allowed to have freedom and choose whatever they’re gonna believe and do whatever they’re gonna do and I have no control over that but what I do have control over is myself and what I believe is to be true faithfully without any proof. I know the temple was destroyed that’s historical. I don’t have proof of Jesus Christ coming back, however, considering all the text that’s in the gospel the apostolic record I would say that there’s a lot of encouraging for them to wait and be patient and wait on the Lord and I believe that when the great and dreadful day had come upon them, that was the day when Jews and Jen‘s house who were the faith who were the bride of Christ in the day were taken you wanna know why we don’t have no proof because they were gone in like a blink of an eye no one no one wrote. No one lived to tell about it. There’s so many people want proof just like the Pharisees want proof show us the sign lord show us a sign. Please show us a sign Lord and he only gave him the sign of Jonah and there’s other accounts where it says they didn’t leave them no sign
