..., are you willing to bet your soul on what you teach? ...
Hmmmmmm, -- I don't think it's such a big deal to bet a person's soul, but more can they DEFEND what they teach.
Ignorant people don't necessarily know they're ignorant, and of course they'll "
bet their own soul", BECAUSE IT'S THE BEST INFORMATION THEY HAVE. Now if each of us thought through what we do or do not know, then it might be a much different DECISION.
Take for example the most elementary start of "
modern" history with Daniel's Image-of-Metals -- HEAD OF GOLD in ~600BC. Certainly we know there is a sequence of empires, which most "commentators" assert is
1,2,3,4a/4b. However,
Verse 45 says:
Daniel 2:45 ... the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold ... = 4,3,5,2,1 = FIVE
So being given this information, and challenged to COMPLY with FIVE World Empires, of which the FIFTH is called a "
divided kingdom" (typical of the Three Superpowers and the United Nations), can those that defend the
1,2,3,4a/4b doctrine provide an explanation for the
4,3,5,2,1 = FIVE Intelligent Design of
Verse 45?!?
And I'll tell you now, -- some people has asserted that there was NO
Intelligent Design in that
Verse, and that it was simply
RANDOM; but NO ONE has provided an
a l t e r n a t i v e Intelligent Design explanation.
Now it's this group of people who shouldn't bet their souls, because they've been informed, but have declined the TRUTH of Scripture and History in deference to their FALSE doctrine. But you'll have to ask this type of
specific challenge to receive their TRUE contemplative answer.
... or so it seems to me ...
