The favorite snare of the devil, that self-justifiers use for sinning with the devil today, is to declare it impossible to do every day.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Unrighteous sinners declaring doing righteousness at all times to be impossible, and so not doing so today, is the smoker who wants to quit today, but does not because he doesn't believe he can tomorrow and the day after and the day after...

100% of the time is now or never, and tomorrow may not even come.

The biggest excuse for not succeeding today, is not believing we can succeed tomorrow and the day after.

Loving God with all a pure heart now, is what one day at a time sweet Jesus is all about.

Also, it's not 100% of the time 24/7, since we do sleep.

Perhaps the mortal body needing sleep is the mercy of God upon the warfare for the soul.

What is sinning? Is it plotting to evil against someone in your heart? Is lusting to have your neighbors wife? Is coveting to have what your neighbor has? Is it failing to love God first? Is it failing to love your neighbor second?

Here let us simply quoate how paul did . LET it not once be named among you as becometh saints .
And let all who name the name of Christ depart from inquity . Very simple and very direct and straightforward .
And now for another reminder from paul . And rebuke those who sin sharply before all that others may also FEAR .
If the church would only keep the original instructions how it would have worked to the good of said church .
But abandon those first teachings and prepare for leaven to leaven the entire lump .

If the churches do not do that today, that must mean that such 'spiritual authority' - in the sense of man in a church doesn't exist.

God works through nature, the conscious, the LAW (That leads to Christ), His only begotten Son, the Apostles and the Spirit.

If a person will teach the Bible they will share what Jesus shared right?

  • Mark 7:
  • 17After Jesus had left the crowd and gone into the house, His disciples inquired about the parable.18“Are you still so dull?” He asked. “Do you not understand? Nothing that enters a man from the outside can defile him, 19because it does not enter his heart, but it goes into the stomach and then is eliminated.”(Thus all foods are clean.)i20He continued: “What comes out of a man, that is what defiles him. 21For from within the hearts of men come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery,j 22greed, wickedness, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, arrogance, and foolishness. 23All these evils come from within, and these are what defile a man.”

  • Psalm 14
  • For the director of music. Of David.

  • 1 The fool says in his heart,
  • “There is no God.”
  • They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;
  • there is no one who does good.

  • 2 The Lord looks down from heaven
  • on all mankind
  • to see if there are any who understand,
  • any who seek God.
  • 3 All have turned away, all have become corrupt;
  • there is no one who does good,
  • not even one.

All people by nature fall short and fail, and it is good to be reminded of this because God sees right through us, and if you see yourself without having sin - you only fool yourself. The only righteousness one gets is from the Holy One who was righteous before God.

If you live your life for Christ, and you abide in the spirit - there will be moments in time where you are not falling short you allowing God to work in and through you, but there are admittedly times that we do fall short, and we can't be conceited into saying "I am better than so and so because I do not do this, and they do."

Right? There is only one way to be seen right before God, and that is through Christ Jesus, to have love for God first, and to love your neighbor as yourself. That means meeting your neighbor were they are at.

  • Romans 5 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, wehave peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

  • 6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless,Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

To be honest, I am just a sinner saved by grace through faith, and I do not try to make it a priority to get people to fall into sin, and do at least participate to abide in Christ Jesus but that doesn't make me better than other people at all.

  • The Vine and the Branches
  • 15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

This is such a vital lesson, it doesn’t matter if people agree with it or not, it is what the Bible shows and shared with us as human beings, I don’t feel so great lately. But just desired to share these notions, that all of us fall short… you might not have today because you may not have noticed it but you may tomorrow get pissed off at someone and “lose your religion.”

This is why it is so good to be open and honest before God and tell him your faults and short comings while you have the chance to and allow him to work with you on those things knowing that His grace is sufficient and nothing can separate you from his love (except you yourself by not having love for God first and having love for your neighbor as yourself.)

The thread is about using a 100% excuse for sinning against God today.
The only "100% excuse for sinning against God" I've ever heard of is the OSAS License to Sin.

According to the OSAS crowd, if you got one in your pocket, you can escape the penalty for doing the exact same thing for which an unlicensed will suffer punishment.

I.e. lukewarm modern OSAS doctrine of doing both good and evil, by grace.

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The tree of life if for them who would do righteousness at all times and no evil anytime:

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

The unrighteous always like to say we, rather than just speak for themselves, because the flood does not teach them that thinking to have everybody doing their sinning, won't stop God for judging everybody for their sinning.

and we can't be conceited into saying "I am better than so and so because I do not do this, and they do."

No man sinning for the devil against God is any bettder than any other man doing the same.

Unrighteous christian sinners think they are not judged the same as other unrighteous sinners, because their 'faith' thinks better of themselves than others.

I am not a hypocrite: if I am transgressing the law of Christ for the devil, I am just as judged dead and lost as any other transgressor on earth.

you might not have today because you may not have noticed it but you may tomorrow get pissed off at someone and “lose your religion.”

If we are sinning against God for the devil, we are losing our souls, though our religion can remain elsewhere.

OSAS never loses their religion, no matter how lost their souls are pleasing the devil and not God.

OSAS is the ultimate man-pleasing religion for unrighteous evil-doers.

Absolutely. What truly offends the world most, and rightly so, is unrighteous hypocrites who think they are not judged for doing the same things any other sinner is doing.

I truly despise it, because it is the one main reason the unbelievers blaspheme the faith, grace, cross, and blood of the Lamb of God.

And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

They don't even boast of doing righteousness, but rather boast of their grace.

The truth is that if we are sinning of the devil like the world, then we are judged worse than the infidel by sinning against grace and treading the blood of the Lamb underfoot.

Anyway,

There was an older woman I use to read her post and she would always share a lot about sinning.

the Bible talks about how we are to die to sin, however it still comes back up every once in a while in an individual's life.

Now the OSAS doctrine is false, so that is all that is, it is simply a false doctrine and shouldn't be listened to.

So I see your reasoning for posting, it is to get the attention of those who believe in the OSAS doctrine, but that is false, what should be taught is what the Bible says about dying to sin, @robert derrick and how through Jesus one is freed from the bondage of sin and death and can live in a new spiritual life as a new Creation in Him.

Also how Jesus Christ is our righteousness and its not of ourselves, How in participation of the spirit we allow God to work and move in and through our hearts and minds in faith.

When you grow up, you'll stop blaming your body for sinning against God.

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

You'll also grow up to speak for yourself, and stop accusing all others of being as sinful as you.

Your doctrine of doing both good and evil, and participating with Jesus and with the devil, is false.

And the world blasphemes the grace and cross of Christ because of such hypocrisy, that you think you are not judged of the devil as they, when sinning for the devil as they.

That is what Paul says though, @robert derrick.

Are we to believe what Paul says or not?

Romans 7:25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

  • Life Through the Spirit
  • 8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

  • 5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

  • 9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

Anyway you can continue to teach whatever you feel lead to.

Thus we have a duality - Flesh vs Spirit.

  • 16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

  • 19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

  • 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
I have no problem with saying, My flesh loves to sin, it serves sin, my body loves it anyway, however the new Creation with-in me hates to Sin. My flesh loves to be selfish, and conceited, and prideful, and haughty, and to live for itself.

But Paul told us to die to sin, to live for Christ.

  • Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ
  • 6 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin;how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

  • 5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

  • 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

However, the Spirit directs me into other pathways, that being the path laid out by Jesus.

I do not seek to get the attention of OSAS hypocrites. I stopped that long ago.

I now only show what they are saying and teaching in order to warn the righteous of the depths of Satan that some people are willing to go to justify their sinning against God, and still be a born son of God.

and how through Jesus one is freed from the bondage of sin and death and can live in a new spiritual life as a new Creation in Him.

Also how Jesus Christ is our righteousness and its not of ourselves, How in participation of the spirit we allow God to work and move in and through our hearts and minds in faith.

If you want to distance yourself from them, then do honestly what they will not do, and answer a straight question:

If we are sinning against God, whether in adultery, drunkenness, idolatry, robbery, etc... are we at that time a child of the devil, or born of God?

I say Scripture says it is not possible in 1 John 3.

If we are walking after the flesh, can we at that time be 'participating' in the Spirit as a son of God.

I say Scripture says it is not possible in 2 Cor 6: 14.

Forget yesterday, and not worry about tomorrow, but just answer the simple question about today.

You are quoting wretched Christian double mindedness, that Paul was empathizing with. Scripture is not condoning it as a lifetime of double minded Christian living unto death.

Those who cry out to the Lord, as Paul did, to be delivered of double heartedness, can go on to the victory of Romans 8.

OSAS teaches staying double minded and claims no condemnation for it, by grace.

If your life is double minded, you need to repent from the heart to be single-hearted for Christ:

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Okay, well good luck on whatever you are doing sir.

I can not handle these types of things personally because it doesn't really edify or help in the process of teaching others (in my opinion anyway), to become dead to sin, and to see Jesus as their righteousness and that we ourselves are not able to make ourselves righteous before God at all . . .

What is sinning? Is it plotting to evil against someone in your heart? Is lusting to have your neighbors wife? Is coveting to have what your neighbor has? Is it failing to love God first? Is it failing to love your neighbor second?

What is sinning?

Plotting evil against God, um like trying to convince men to NOT believe.

Going after and following other gods.

Putting oneself first Above and Before God.

Sinning is against God.

Man plotting evil against man is wickedness.

Man lusting a neighbors wife is wickedness.

Men coveting is wickedness.

Men following through with their wickedness is Trespassing.
