I thought earlier post you posted the battle is all of our life.Only until we are crucified with Christ. Then we walk in resurrection life and power. That's the gospel.

Old Testament righteousness dealt with behaviour...outward behaviour. A person could think evil thoughts and could covet all day long, but as long as he didn't act on his baser impulses he was seen as righteous. So a person could be righteous under the law and still be a sinner inwardly. As in...the outside of the vessel is clean, but the inside is corrupt.

Struggling with sin does not mean submitting to it.Paul admitted his own struggle with sin...even after being born again. Being born again does not make you sin-free.
Compare then if convenient the inward one of no adultery as Jesus said in the New Testament.But the 10th commandment is unique in that it is not an outward commandment but an inward one.
You are very confident, Joseph. I recognize that my beliefs are always open to being in error. I am not God. In fact, as a human, I assume that anything I believe is most likely untrue in some manner. The scientific attitude requires that I be skeptical, and that I acknowledge that even scientific theories are most likely not completely true. As a believer, I hope I am humble enough to acknowledge that my understanding is limited. Nevertheless, DNA evidence is usually accurate.
