wadr there is no "he" there such as we like to imagine I guess; Satan is personified bc ppl cannot stand in truth
You don't believe in a literal, fallen angel now referred to as "Satan"?

One correction.

Again the KJV is misleading and wrong. They were very smart but not as knowledgeable as we are today.

22 Zillah also had a son, Tubal-Cain, who forged all kinds of tools out of bronze and iron.

Already clarified. God provides. Knowledge increases.

Tilling the ground began shortly after Adam and Eve left the garden.

Tools for Tilling the ground have advanced from very primitive hand tools to machinery
Driven from water, steam, fuel sources, hydraulics, gears, etc.

In brief ~

Fallen angels, were once holy, as all angels were created holy.

During the creation of the earth, Lucifer, became against God, and was cast to earth.
Drawn along with him went 1/3 of other angels. They lost access to their original estate, ie Heaven.

Nothing says "they" have been chained in hell.

Holy angels had access to move about back and forth; between their estate; Heaven, and the estate of mankind; Earth.

A few holy angels, came to Earth, and then defied God, mating with human women. They lost their access to their first estate: heaven and lost their ability to remain on mans estate; earth and were cast down to hell, where they are currently chain and kept in hell.

The water saved Noah and his family by drowning everyone else.
Not "drowning everyone else" according to Scripture. The water "saved" Noah indirectly by providing a medium in which the Ark could safely float, while the occupants were safe from the Deluge.

As spirit, yes, personified, no. Certainly very real, but no soul, no ego, etc I guess
satan is a Scapegoat in that role, "the devil made me do it"
You mean "spirit" like an evil version of Gabriel?

Again the KJV is misleading and wrong.
Your attacks on the KJV are not only foolish but false. For over 300 years the Authorized Version was the only English language Bible of any consequence worldwide among English-speaking people. But according to you they were all being misled! Do you see how ludicrous that sounds? And even to this the most widely read translation in the USA is the KJV.

Christians should understand that the reason for the bitter and virulent attacks against the King James Bible is because it is indeed the most faithful English translations from the true Hebrew and Greek texts. And Satan is behind every attack on this Bible (the Sword of the Spirit), which God has used mightily in the past, and continues to do so.

If you prefer the NIV or any other modern corruption, that's you choice. But we don't need to hear these foolish attacks on the Word of God.

much better to find Word imo, and stop conflating It with Scripture

Um, hmm. Gabriel is also a spirit that is anthropomorphised in Scripture, so yes, sure
Satan can impersonate a human form, for sure, just as angels did so for Abraham, Lot, etc. I doubt those men of Sodom wouldn't ventured to do what they did if they knew those two were more than must men

the best reply I might give here is prolly that the surer you are, the less likely it might be, and I doubt that Satan can "impersonate" in the manner that seems to be inferred there, nor even in "possessed" the way um "we" like to imagine that now tbh.

As for the Sodom story...an awesome spiritual point is made in there, arg but knowledge brings sorrow lol, never mind I guess

I agree. And yes, science can definately be in error - we have a long history of this, but the reason we can see the past errors is because science is committed to finding out the the truth and uncovering errors
Ideally that should be so with persons working in science, but as a matter of fact even people working in science are still people subject to the same shortcomings as the rest of us. I would take people as they come, one at the time. Give each one the benefit of a doubt, but go slow on presuming they have the best answer even in their own specialized field of study...

The good news is that new discoveries are peer reviewed. It is not a perfect system, but over time, mistakes, assumptions, and false studies are usually rooted out. The study that was falsified with fake stats, involving red wine and heart health is a great example.

I have no doubt that some good things are being discovered as they seemingly have been in the past. However, without faith in God even the most careful and smartest of scientists will miss the most important of discoveries. Modern technology and given us much but it has not fixed the worst problems which lie in the hearts and minds of men.

We have far greater ancient language understanding today and more manuscripts. Rome did not give them manuscript access. They used materials written in the 1500s, such as Textus Receptus.

Far greater doesn't translate into better. The latter stage of the church is that of Laodicea. The final church age. Yet they are in a stage of apostasy.

Wonder how that happened with your so called 'superior texts'.

Talk about a forked tongue.

The waters drowned everyone in the world. That is how the waters saved Noah. The Ark saved Noah from the waters. The waters saved Noah from the world.

You do realize there are older religions the scriptures used longer than Christianity has existed.

The Douay-Rheims is older.

The English Wyclif Bible Bible dates from 1380 and is still in use.
