Again you have failed to show me where a "one world government" is prophesied in Scripture...Daniel 7:23 speaks of a great kingdom - I call it The Kingdom of the Antichrist in my new book... But even a great kingdom is not "a one world government" where all the governments of the world allow themselves to come under the control of one person or one organization as the term implies...Your feeble attempt at quoting Daniel 7:23 belies your lack of learning. The same word for "whole earth" is found in Ex 10:15 where Pharaoh only has Egypt in mind. Or Ex 10: 15 speaks of the locusts covering "the whole earth" when, in fact, we know they just covered the whole of Egypt...Many more examples could be sighted, but the point is that the Aramaic word "kala," Strongs #3606 which can mean "a part of a totality" is the obvious meaning here. Not every government, nor every man, woman and child on earth will be "devoured" by the fourth beast...veteran said:Way behind the times you are.
Dan 7:23
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
(KJV)
Trajan or any other Roman Emperor even conquered the city of Babylon or any part of the Persian Empire...Daniel's 4th beast must devour all of the three previous empire - not simply parts of one or two...veteran said:The shortened time is about the latter 1260 days period being shortened, NOT some special event like a Pre-trib rapture added that leaves the order of the endtime events of His coming and our gathering He gave us.
Here we go again. Look at the alliance between Syria, Iran, extemists in Lebanon, Iraq, etc., with the Communist states of Russian and Red China today. It's the COMMUNIST states that are SUPPORTING those Islamic states, NOT the other way around.
Your beloved Russia is part of that extremist alliance against Israel that Ezekiel 38 is pointing to.
See the history about Roman Trajan again. He did... conquer areas of the ancient Babylonian empire. You're not going to be able to disprove the Roman empire as the next beast kingdom that covered the majority of the then civilized world.
It is remarkable to me that you actually believe you understand Daniel's prophecy better than Daniel did - or the angel who explained its meaning to him. Because the angel clearly says "The four great beasts are four kingdoms that will arise from the earth" (Dan 7:17). I see no mention of the fifth kingdom you wale about - unless you are trying to speak of the Kingdom of God which destroys the fourth kingdom, which is not the topic of the chapter - the four kingdoms are the subject?...If that is true, your argument is merely one of semantics and purely sophistry...veteran said:The Book of Daniel DOES make distinction between 5 beast kingdoms. That's why the beast statue image from Neb's dream that God gave Daniel to interpret has FIVE pieces to it, and not just FOUR.
Again, it is not enough for you or those you regurgitate to merely say the "legs of iron represent the old Roman Empire" - because you must prove it...Opinions are like eyes and ears - everyone has one. Prove your hypothesis or let it go...veteran said:The part of the "legs of iron" represented the old Roman empire, because it's the feet of ten toes of iron mixed with clay that is shown manifesting when Christ comes to strike it upon its feet and establish His de facto Eternal Kingdom and reign upon the earth. That's a specific point many theologians have missed from the Book of Daniel (though not all Bible scholars of history missed it).
"The old Roman empire became the largest beast kingdom upon the earth to date. And since it conquered the areas of the 3rd beast kingdom of Daniel, that makes the Roman empire the 4th beast of Daniel"...I'm sorry Veteran, but these are your words, not mine. Maybe you "don't speak in riddles" like you claim; Maybe you just don't really understand what you did say?...veteran said:Gnats again I see.
I NEVER said there would be a 'revised Roman empire' like the one of old for the end. That's where you're not listening, but making assumptions instead. I don't speak or write in riddles.
Jerusalem was never "the center of focus" of any empires which conquered it. The land, the people's wealth, the trading routes, the people, etc were always "the center of focus"...Your obvious lack of understanding of ancient histories is remarkable...veteran said:Jerusalem has always been the center of focus with all the previous beast kingdoms of Daniel. Because Daniel was shown how the final beast kingdom of ten toes of part iron and part clay will be standing ALONG... with ALL the previous beast statue parts in the end when Christ comes to smite it upon its feet, then what does that show for the end?
veteran said:Christ's coming to gather His Church is AFTER the tribulation period (the latter 1260 of Daniel's "one week"). And that's per Matt.24:29-31 and Mark 13:24-27, and per Paul in 2 Thess.2.
The northern army that's to come upon Jerusalem on the last day of this world is given in Ezekiel 38. It includes Communist Russia and her Islamic allies.
