the gospels plainly stipulate that he was crucified on the day before the sabboth and rose before dawn on the day after the sabboth. back then the sabboth day was saturday.

the question is;;; was he in the ground 3 days and 3 nights as he predicted? i get 2 nights and 1 day

If you had read the whole topic you would know that there were two Sabbaths that week. Passover is always the High Holy Sabbath of the Hebrew year.

Reminds me of the story of when the Bishop showed up at Church to quiz the newly Confirmed children.

He was very disappointed in their answers so, in frustration asked, "What is the signifigance of Easter."

One young boy timidly raised his hand and said:
"Easter is where we remember that Jesus was Crucified for us on a Friday..."

The bishop nodded approvingly

"He spent a couple of days in the grave..."

The bishop smiles at the priest in approval.

"One the third day, He rose from the dead..."

The priest gives the nun teaching them a thumbs-up

"The stone rolled away and he walked out of the tomb..."

The nun is beaming with pride

"And He saw His shadow so we had six more weeks of winter."

Does it seem like I am not taking this thread seriously? Yes.
What does the Calendar Date matter?

Tuesday?
Friday?
April?
December?
March 22nd, 0034?

The key is that it happened.
