Scripture speaks of Jesus having siblings which is done thru having sex so the burden of proof is upon catholics since they are the ones falsely claiming mary was always a virgin and that mary is co-redeemer with Jesus being equal to Jesus
Wrong. Jesus speaks of having "Brothers". Not "siblings." Just like YOU can refer to another Christian male as your "brother", even though he's not your ACTUAL brother. Plus, there was NO WORD for "cousin" in Aramaic.
You'll need to whip out one of your religious fairy tale books to make these claims because it's not in God's Word.

Of course all catholics have to do is cite on of their many popes who worshiped mary which is what catholics believe anyway is what all their popes said and then get upset when someone points out many their popes contradicted each other as they taught things not from God's Word.
Popes didn't "worship" Mary. They venerated her. There's a difference.
Jesus "disrespected" mary Himself:

Matthew 12:47-50
Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
How is it that Jesus "disrespected" Mary by referring to those who did the will of his father as his "brother, sister and mother"? Did he also "disrespect" her when he said to John, "Behold your mother" while he was on the cross?
Looks like catholics are NOT Jesus's family after all.

So do you advocate violence against those that you claim are speaking disrespectfully about mary?

That's what catholics used to do is murder those who reject their religion.

Are you and your catholic buddies stockpiling weapons getting ready to off some infidels like your calvinist and moslem brethren?

You kllnow, like in the old days?

Wrong. Jesus speaks of having "Brothers"

OK, so you think Jesus is ignorant. Got it.

The Bible identifies the names of Mary and Joseph’s other children here in Mark 6:3 as well as Matt. 13:55. In both passages, James is listed first, which, according to tradition, would suggest that James is the oldest of the children Mary and Joseph had together.

The fact of the matter is mary had sex and had other children.

The catholics in their fantasy land dark religion claim these other children must have been adopted or something

They worship mary so nobody takes cathoolics seriously since it's just another cult which they will all find out in the end

I posted what Jesus actually said from God's Word.

He put more value on those that do God's will than He did His own mother and brothers that mary gave birth to after she and Joseph had sex.
Nope. Read @Bread of Life's outstanding posts again.
You can keep your extra biblical teachings as they disagree with God's Word.
interesting that Bread of Life hasn't used ANY "extra biblical teachings" to make a strong defense.
The Bible identifies the names of Mary and Joseph’s other children in Mark 6:3 as well as Matt. 13:55. In both passages, James is listed first, which tells us James is the oldest of the children Mary and Joseph had together. Jesus of course is the actual oldest but God was His Father not Joseph.
And NOW who's using "extra biblical teachings"? Or are you just reading the bible and not actually STUDYING it?

No. You are reading the bible in the 21st century as if IT was written in the 21st century. Don't you GET that the words used in modern text WEREN"T EVEN AVAILABLE 2000 years ago? My goodness, 100 years ago, the word "gay" meant HAPPY. Not so TODAY.
Do you not get that some languages don't have the same words we use in English...even TODAY?

You have to take ALL of this...and then some...into consideration when "reading" the bible....which, apparently, you DON'T.
The Bible identifies the names of Mary and Joseph’s other children here in Mark 6:3 as well as Matt. 13:55. In both passages, James is listed first, which, according to tradition, would suggest that James is the oldest of the children Mary and Joseph had together.

What's with the insults? I'm sure your posts have driven a FEW Protestants toward the Catholic religion because you're not acting as CHRIST tells us to act!

Catholics never claimed that the "brothers"...and "sisters" of Christ were adopted..."Or something". Catholics apparently have done a LOT more research on their 'roots' than YOU have, and like I explained above, Christ considered EVERYONE who "does the will of the Father" to be his "brother", "sister" and "mother".
They worship mary so nobody takes cathoolics seriously since it's just another cult which they will all find out in the end
No, Catholics, ONCE AGAIN, don't "worship" Mary. If you're telling me that *I* worship Mary, I'd tell ya to take a flying leap....
I don't "worship" Mary. I DO venerate her, the same way as venerating my own mother.

Really sad that you don't get that.

It's funny. So many protestants come here...and other sites...and BASH Catholics with their, "Where in the bible does it say..."

And when Catholics respond, y'all are ready with this whole insulting, condescending attitude.

Where in the bible does it say to do that?

Oh, oh, yeah...something about "Treating them like Gentiles"...or "getting the dust off your feet"

But no where have Catholics EVER said that Jesus isn't their savior. So just because we Catholics believe a certain way...a DIFFERENT way...

...Why in the world do YOU guys take offense? Do you take offense to other religions of the world?

ETA: Catholics DO read the bible and we DO pay MOST attention to Christs words about "Loving God AND loving you neighbor".

Yet y'all, don't seem to be too....neighborly.

YOU believe YOUR way, I'll believe MINE. In the end, GOD will choose who HE wants in His Kingdom.

At the end of the day, you should be a born again from above, by the Grace of God through His living Word of God, Jesus Christ. All others are doomed. Stop, drop, and roll doesn't work in Hell.
Yep, just as I thought, so a true Catholic should be born again, as they meet the basic requirements.

If they truly believe what they say when they speak the Nicene Creed, they are born again, it's a clear statement of faith that highlights the core beliefs that one who is born again should have.

They have passed the Romans 10:9 test.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Yes. And know in their Heart, without a shadow of a doubt, through the Holy Spirt, that they have eternal life. You can't "hope" you have been good enough, you can't "hope" that your good outweighs the bad. You have to be born again from above, by the Grace of God, through His living Word, Jesus Christ. Creeds mean nothing, words mean nothing, God sees the heart. Only the salvation through Jesus Christ is the Word of eternal life.

And NO verse in the Bible says that -
- Scripture is our SOLE Authority . . .
- We must say the "Sinner's Prayer" to be saved . . .
--There will be a A pre-Trib “Rapture” . . .
- We must accept Jesus as “Personal Lord and Savior” . . .

Neither
does it teach things like:
- "Limited Atonement"
- "Imputed righteousness"
- "Altar Calls"

- "Eternal Security"

ALL
of these things were invented by Protestants in the 16th century and after.
Gee - WHY would the Word of God leave these things out?
Uh oh. I was kinda agreeing with some of this, until "Alter calls". that came about in the 18th century. Eternal security, aka, eternal life is in the Bible, and Peter said it. John 6:68. Its all in the Gospels. Now, this is a sticking point with people that do not have the Holy Spirit. Jesus is a personal Lord and Savior, He just is. That's some of the 'outside" the bible stuff you keep talking about. Do you know Jesus as your personal Savior? If you say no, well, just sayin'.

I'm southern, I like y'all. You engage well, I appreciate that. That Dash guy is good at goading someone into an argument. If you love Jesus, like I love Jesus, "fist bump", all that's left is to love each other. Peace, shalom.

Yes pretty much on point, however the Nicene Creed is pretty much a declaration of faith in Jesus Christ, some people may just say it without heart, however others believe it and know it in deep down in their heart, words with heart mean something, which I think is what you are getting at anyway.

Yes God sees the heart, and only salvation is through Jesus Christ.

No verse in the bible says that the Word of God begins with Genesis and ends with Revelation.

The Words in the Bible begin with Gen and End with Revelation.
That's how you know where the bible starts and stops.

Not true. The bible clearly says that the reason for writing the things down in the bible was so we may come to believe.

"come to believe in what".....is this issue., as if you believe wrong, you'll go to Hell, not heaven, while you believe you're going to Heaven.
And a large part of what you "believe" that is "cult of mary" Theology, is not found in a bible.
So, its best that you dont pretend to be a bible believer, when the Catholic Cult does not view the bible as its final authority.

Again, not true. Interesting you would say that since bible scriptures are read OUT LOUD, IN CHURCH, EVERY DAY.

This also happens in the Mormon Church., as they read it outloud, also.

So what have you proven?

Also, why would the Apostles venerate Mary or even pray to Mary since she was still alive with them?

Mary died about 11 yrs after Jesus rose from the Dead.

Paul and John lived 30-50 yrs after Mary died. Peter lived about 20 yrs after Mary died.

Paul gave the body of Christ all the Church Doctrinem and has NOTHING TO SAY about Mary...or praying to Mary, or Praying to Saints, who are dead.

John and Peter are silent regarding Mary's importance, and silent about "praying to Mary" or to Dead Saints.

Paul simply acknowledged that his mission was to preach the Gospel; not to baptize. \

Try to understand that if the Gospel requires WATER Baptism, and Paul is preaching the Gospel, and Paul says nothing about water, then what does this clearly show us?
See, Paul's Gospel is "Believe and Receive".. "Trust in Christ for the forgiveness of your sin".. ."all who call on the Name of Jesus (believing) shall be Saved".
So, Paul's Gospel shows us that Water Baptism, is not related to being Born again.....but Paul's Gospel IS related to being born again, as its "the Preaching of the Gospel, (the Cross) that is the Power of God.. unto Salvation, for everyone who BELIEVES"..... = no Water Baptism required for Salvation.

The Gospel is "Jesus on the Cross"........ or "the Preaching of the Cross"...........not get wet, get dunked, and go to heaven".

"Romans 6 says, “Don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?"

There is literal water baptism....and its Symbolic and a public confession, where the person is symbolically being lowered into the water as the old man, and then coming out of the water as risen in newness of Life.. as the New Man.
...Its symbolic.

Whereas being Baptized INTO the Spirit of God, is to become "IN Christ".. and "ONE with God" and that is to become Born... again.
This spiritual baptism is God's Holy Spirit BIRTHING the believer's Spirit as "IN CHRIST", and "one with God".

Show me where the Bible teaches Eternal Security (Once Saved Always Saved).

MY
Bible teaches that salvation is a process:
Initial Salvation
– God give us the initial grace to believe and be baptized.
1 Pet. 3:21, Rom. 5:1-2, Rom. 8:24-25, Eph. 2:5–8)

Ongoing Sanctification
God is sanctifying us throughout our life as
we cooperate with his grace.
1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, 2 Cor. 7:1, Phil. 2:12, Heb 12:14

Final Sanctification/Salvation
– We die and go to heaven having endured to the end.
Matt. 24:13, Rom. 5:9–10, 1 Cor. 3:12–
15
Do you know Jesus as your personal Savior? If you say no, well, just sayin'.
My point is NOT that shou don’t need to know Him personally.

My point was to the Sola Scripturists who ONLY believe in what the Bible says and nothing else. This is an impossible way to live if you believe the things I listed – like accepting Jesus as
“personal Lord and Savior” . . .

Popes didn't "worship" Mary. They venerated her. There's a difference.

If you take MARY out of Cathilic Theology, and Doctrine and "veneration", then the Catholic Church ENDS. It will DIE.

It will end, if she was removed from this Cult's Religion.

Thats a fact.

A.) NO MARY = No Catholic Church.

B.) No Water Baptism, No Catholic Church

See, for the "cult of mary" to exist, you have to have MARY and Water.

So, when one of these who "venerates" Mary.... tries to deny this cults obesseing with the "MOG".........then just pay no attention, as they are not being honest.

You release don't you that the church is rooted in the sacrament of the Eucharist. It is the source and summit of Catholic faith. In other words Jesus. Period. End of story.

That's how you know where the bible starts and stops.
Correction: You ONLY know where the Bible ends because of the Authority oi the Catholic Church, who compiled and declared the Canon of Scripture.

The Bible didn't fall out of the
sky . . .
This also happens in the Mormon Church., as they read it outloud, also.

So what have you proven?
The difference, my ignorant friend, is that the Mormon sect was invented in the 19th century - almost 2000 years AFTER Jesus ascended to the Father.

The Catholic Church, however, goes ALL the way back to the Apostles . . .

Mary died about 11 yrs after Jesus rose from the Dead.
Paul and John lived 30-50 yrs after Mary died. Peter lived about 20 yrs after Mary died.
Care to show me where the BIBLE makes these claims, my confused, Sola Scripturist friend??

Jesus is not the "Eucharist".
Its the "cult of Mary" that has overemphasised "taking communion".

Its literally symbolic.....but you are taught that you are "eating Jesus" and you are not.

Well, what you posted is not actuallly True, regarding the "cult of Mary".. as the Cult of Mary, teaches that the bible is a work in progress, and that their Church Fathers, and any currrent Pope's, teachings are a sort of "completing the bible".

So, that's a problem., as its a cult setting itself as the Authority above the Word of God.

Please note that we do not require anyone be a member of any church to be considered a Christian. We consider...

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. - Romans 10

The two big deals...

1. Confess the Lord Jesus
2. Believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead

And... You are saved! We accept you as a Christian. From there we would encourage you to grow and to study the material you feel God has laid in your lap. It is my beliefs that the general Christian congregations are seven (My interpretation of the seven churches of Revelation)...

1. Messianic
2. Oriental Orthodox
3. Greek Orthodox
4. Catholic
5. Protestant
6. Methodist and all the offsprings
7. Charismatic and all the offsprings

Catholic church... I do not wish to join the congregation... But I do wish them and their Pope well. My main issues is with my own denomination... Pentecostal Holiness... In which it is so hard to find good evangelist and senior pastors these days.
