I just showed you clearly where Jesus said the flesh profits nothing

He asked if it shocked them and then he explained that the flesh profits nothing...it is the Spirit that gives life. I defy you to show one place in scripture where people are commanded to eat human flesh.
Then you argue with Jesus not me.

Right THE flesh profits nothing but HIS flesh is the bread that he will give for the life of the world. Just like he said. Then says, Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man then you do not have life within you. He didn't say believe, he didn't say bread, he didn't say his word, he said his flesh. Look if you don't want to listen it's fine but stop thinking your fighting with me. Those are His words not mine. The silliness of you people is astounding

Salvation and Faith precede "works"
And Jesus said to the man, “Stand up and go. Your faith has healed you.”
Jesus Says: He who hears MY words and believes/FAITH in Him who sent ME is passed from death unto Life.
Holy Spirit Says: Without faith it is impossible to please God.

Salvation and Faith precede "works" = believe God = Ephesians 2:8-10

For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works,
so that no one can boast.
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.

My grace is sufficient for you" = "the law came thru Moses but Grace and Truth came thru JESUS CHRIST"

"Our qualification comes from God.
Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, ...

"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times,
you may abound in every good work."

Grace - Faith - Works = ALL come down from the FATHER from Above
Yes faith precedes works but faith is not sufficient. if it was then James has no reason to tell us faith without works is dead.

the LORD, the Holy Spirit, the Apostles all say that God's Grace and Faith in His Word is sufficient for:
a.) Salvation
b.) all things pertaining to Godliness
c.) God granting to us "works which HE prepared that we should walk in" = faith without works is dead

Genesis = Chicken before eggs

b.) Raised, educated, confirmed and observing RCC myself
c.) Practiced RCC religious instruction = praying to Mary, praying for the dead in purgatory, confessional, wafer, and on and on

It's the first translation on the page I linked.

Tbh, I provided the link so that curious readers could actually see the text.
What do you think about it's canonisity? I accept it, and believe it was preserved by God until the prophecy was closer to being fulfilled and needed. I wonder how many women would have not had abortions with the commandment against it clearly included in Scripture?

His flesh in a symbolic sense.
Only if you're blind or deaf. AGAIN John 6:51

I am the living bread(symbolic) that can me down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread(symbolic) will live forever; and the bread (symbolic) that I will give is my flesh(not symbolic as Jesus is flesh) for the life of the world. From that passage on every mention of flesh refers back to this passage. Verse 52 the jews question, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" They do not think he is speaking symbolically. Jesus answers verse 53 "Amen Amen I say to you unless you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood you do not have life within you." Now explain to me how that shows Jesus is speaking symbolically.

verse 58 Jesus says, "This is the bread that came down from heaven." The word "This" refers to his flesh not bread. Jesus continues "Unlike your ancestors who are and nevertheless dies, the who feeds upon "this" bread will live forever."

Now you have to have zero reading comprehension to believe Jesus is just speaking symbolically or you just have to be in complete denial.

Grace before Faith
Faith unto Salvation
Faith before works
Works prepared in Heaven by God that we are to walk in = thru FAITH

TRUTH always Prevails
You're starting to understand. Faith BEFORE works not ONLY. Faith without works is dead. Faith is not sufficient. You people are as stubborn as the Jews in the desert.

Faith in the Word that was God from the Beginning is all sufficient

The works that God has prepared for us to walk in are His Blessings and Benefits for those who are sanctified and for the world.

Because it was irrelevant for us to know and live godly lives! If God wanted us to know He would have told millions of His faithful followers and not just you in visions and dreams.
2 things. Who said God needs to tell millions of people? Who said God has not revealed these same truths to others?

If faith was sufficient there would be no reason to write "In the same way, faith by itself is dead if it does not have good works" James 2:17.

If faith was sufficient there would be no reason to write, "You fool! Do you want proof that faith without works is futile?" James 2:20

This is one of my favorites. If faith was sufficient there would be no reason to write: "Thus you can see that his faith AND(my emphasis) his works were active together; his faith was brought to completion by works". If faith was sufficient it wouldn't need completion by works. Needing works for completion is the exact OPPOSITE of sufficient.

You know James 2:24

And last but not least if fatih was sufficient there would be no reason to write: "For just as the body is dead without a spirit, so faith without works is also dead." James 2:26

The Epistle of Barnabas isn't canon, but I guess the question is whether it ought to be?

I will say... a case CAN be made for it.
  • It purports to be written by an apostle. That's one of the main criteria used for commending books as canonical.
  • It seems to be written at a genuinely early date - during the same period as several of the epistles that are in the Bible.
  • Textual analysis bears out the idea that the author belonged to the very early church - it opens with a doxology in the Pauline style, it uses the idea of fulfillment of Scripture in the same way the synoptic gospels do, and the author is clearly familiar with 2nd-temple Jewish thought.
But ultimately I answer No, and here's why not:
  • It contains a prophecy that didn't come to pass shortly thereafter (the rebuilding of the temple), and that's a deal-breaker for me.
  • It tries to distance Christianity from Judaism. That's understandable considering the politics of the day, but theologically it doesn't pass muster for me.

veneration of Mary
ascention of Mary
Mary as intercessor
rosary beads
RCC confessional with absolution thru repetitious prayer
magic transubstantiation wafer god as opposed to "breaking bread from house to house" in faith
The Church doesn't place ANY of these ABOVE the Word of God.

What Jesus was rebuking the Pharisees for was placing THEIR traditions OVER as important as anything God had commanded. However – I’ll go through your list anyway . . .

1. veneration of Mary
Definition of Venerate: “To regard with great respect”
There is NOTHING unbiblical about this practice. War heroes are venerated and given medals.

2. ascention of Mary
The Church does NOT teach that Mary “ascended” to Heaven. Ascension is done by one’s OWN power, like Jesus did.
Mary was Assumed into Heaven.

3. Mary as intercessor
We are ALL commanded to intercede for one another as fellow members of the Body of Christ (James 5:16, 1 John 5:16).

4. rosary beads
There is NOTHING unbiblical about Rosary beads. On the contrary – the prayers of the Rosary are Biblically-based.

5. RCC confessional with absolution thru repetitious prayer
Jesus
gave the leaders of His Church the power to forgive sins in His name (John 20:21-23). He told them that WHATEVER they bound or loosed on earth would be bound and loosed in Heaven (Matt. 16:19; 18:18).

As for repetitious prayer – this is NOT condemned. Jesus condemned the nonsensical babbling of the pagan priests to their gods

- In Matt. 26:44, our Lord himself prayed the exact same prayer THREE times in the Garden of Gethsemane after the Last Supper.

- In the Parable of the Determined Widow in Luke 18:7, Jesus emphatically states that God hears those who keep petitioning him in sincere faith.

- In Luke 18:13, the tax collector kept beating his breast and praying, “God be merciful to me, a sinner.” This was pleasing to God.

- We see in Rev. 4:8 that the angels pray the exact same prayer day and night without ceasing in the presence of almighty God, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty.”

- Psalm 136 goes on for 26 verses in a row, repeating the exact same prayer, “God's love endures forever”.

- Similarly, in Dan. 3:56-88 we read the exact same prayer for 32 verses, which is “bless the Lord; praise and exalt him above all forever. This is FAR more repetitious than a decade of the Rosary.

So much for YOU unbiblical objections . . .

5. magic transubstantiation wafer god as opposed to "breaking bread from house to house" in faith

The context of “Breaking bread” in Acts was in reference to Holy Communion.
The Eucharist is the Body and Blood of Jesus.

1 Corinthians 11:27-30, Paul speaks to the reality of the Eucharist and the severity of the consequences to those who take this lightly: “Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord. A person should examine himself, and so eat the bread and drink the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many among you are ill and infirm, and a considerable number are dying.”
This is pretty harsh language for something that Protestants claim is only a “symbol”.

This directly correlates to the Bread of Life Discourse in John 6, where Jesus stated in no uncertain terms: “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.”

The usual Greek word used for human eating is “phagon”, however, this is NOT the word used in these passages. John uses the word, “trogon”, which means, to munch or to gnaw - like an animal. Jesus was again using hyperbole as he often did to drive his point across so that the crowd would understand that he was not speaking metaphorically. He meant what he said.

Just as the Paschal Lamb was to be consumed, it is also true for the Lamb of God.

He clearly said the flesh profits nothing. Your selective cherry picking of assigning metaphors shows your desperation. Only someone totally ignorant would think Jesus was promoting some cannibalistic ritual.Like I said....prove the bread is actually his flesh with a DNA sample. You can't because it isn't
