It is GOD that demands perfection to be His child. "Be perfect, as My Father in heaven is perfect." "You must be born again." And that is why Jesus came. John 8:32-36. You think He came so we can eat, drink and be merry with no consequences, turning the grace of God into licentiousness Jude 1:4, the antithesis of a child of God. Stop being deceived with doctrines of demons that started 500 years ago during the Reformation. Satan wants you deceived so you can stay his, a slave to sin. NO! The TRUTH is, He took away our SIN that had the consequences. No SIN - No CONSEQUENCES. The Law showed us our sin. No SIN - No need for the Law. Why? Because Jesus puts His Own Spirit within us and changes our nature, so instead of fighting against a sinful nature to try to be good, we now can act naturally with a divine nature. Romans 8:1-9; 2 Peter 1:2-11; 1 John 3:9; 1 John 5:18. No more struggle to be righteous. His Spirit inside us fulfills the righteous requirements of the eternal laws of God, to love God with all your heart, mind and body, and your neighbor as yourself written on our hearts in the New Covenant. The Grace of God is the Power of God to be sinless, not a cover-up license to sin.
This is not something that we can do, so stop accusing me of placing a burden on you. Only Jesus gives us His Spirit. All we have to do is REPENT and acknowledge that we are weak, but we desire to serve Jesus, but can't stop sinning. Ask for His Holy Spirit. There are many Christians struggling because they have never been born again of the Spirit. I was like that for the first 30 years of going to church, until I came to the end of myself and acknowledged my sin and weakness. Suddenly I was filled with His Spirit from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet. I was literally born again with a completely different nature that I had before. Out with the weak, in with the powerful. And, believe me, IT LASTS! I don't just love God from afar; I love Him intimately! From the first day of this new born again life, I have been able to hear His voice clearly. Not audibly from outside, but from the inside where He lives.
Luke 11:10-13
10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
